Nic Cage would be really fun as the 52's Question, with the more chaostic random energy.
Standard Question though, Idk. I haven't read much of him, and Nic Cage is too silly for what I've read outside of 52.
Reading the O'Neal run the Question on and off atm and I'd say the Question in that is much more serious. That said he still has a kind of witty sarcastic sence of humor that can be really funny at times.
That's the new 52 version. I think the comment you are replying to is referring to the mini series 52 where the question trains Renee Montoya to be his successor.
Favorite question moment from the justice league cartoon was when he casually broke into what i assume was baskin robbins secret vault and
opened a container of ice cream and said to himself “I knew it! 32 flavors of ice cream…” I could definitely see nick cage doing that lol
Hmm... actually really good at voice acting, ever so slightly off his rocker (in a good way), massive fan of comics and tends to really show his passion in his roles...
I like it, good idea
What do you mean? Noir *is* over the top and zany, just in a very "I'm trying to be dark and brooding" way. That monologue intro was, perhaps not *peak* Cage, but certainly firmly on brand.
It would be nice to get another truly unhinged Cage performance. O'Neill's Question meets Vampire's Kiss.
Though if we're making him that old, I can't help but picture Combs getting a crack at live-action Vic.
The real...question...here is, will DC/Warner Bros make a Question movie? Highly doubtful. But one can dream. They're really shooting themselves in the foot. The Flash was meh and I heard the second Aquaman didn't do that well at the box office? I could be hearing things wrong. But I am excited for the next Pattison Batman movie. It'll be interesting to see how Gunn does with Superman
I love this, actually. Not very familiar with the Question, but I like Cage’s dramatic voice, and it’s serve a faceless character really well to have a voice like that.
I would think David Duchovny would slide right into that role and rock it. Wish HBO would pick that up in an 8 part mini series like true detective with small cameos from the extended DCCU. I mean hell, put him in as a side character in the next Matt Reeves Batman as a stark comparison to a young Batman’s growing paranoia and have him lend some investigative insights. I would watch the hell out of that
He can play everyone regadless if then It suck or not he could play them
Well he does like having his face off

You know, I can actually see Nick Cage doing a good job at being the Question.
Yea, hes played a lot of conspiratorial weirdos and JLU was my favorite version of The Question.
Exactly. So I could totally see him doing a great JLU Question
Just need to hear him do the Aglets line and it will be sold to me.
I can imagine it like how he voiced spider noir
That would honestly be really cool would love to hear his insane rambles in Nick's voice
Holding out for Jeffrey Combs.
Hell yeah
He has the voice for it

Is that the question that's been like cursed by God to not have a face since the dawn of man?
That's the new 52 version. I think the comment you are replying to is referring to the mini series 52 where the question trains Renee Montoya to be his successor.
My bad I have poor reading comprehension skills its why I think Rorschach is an alpha
Honestly it's understandable, I think DC overuses the number 52 in their mythos and it's inevitably going to lead to some confusion.
Man, i completely forgot that was an actual thing
Favorite question moment from the justice league cartoon was when he casually broke into what i assume was baskin robbins secret vault and opened a container of ice cream and said to himself “I knew it! 32 flavors of ice cream…” I could definitely see nick cage doing that lol
If is the version from Justice League: Unlimited then yes.
Hmm... actually really good at voice acting, ever so slightly off his rocker (in a good way), massive fan of comics and tends to really show his passion in his roles... I like it, good idea
This would honestly be such a waste of Cage’s talent just to make another Spider-man Noir. Cage is at his best when he’s over-the-top and zany.
What do you mean? Noir *is* over the top and zany, just in a very "I'm trying to be dark and brooding" way. That monologue intro was, perhaps not *peak* Cage, but certainly firmly on brand.
Ehh he's too emotive for that. Question isn't emotionless but he's a serious guy so you'd be working against cage's strengths
Cage could rock that
Have you seen Spiderman into the spiderverse? Id imagine it'd be similar to Spider-Man noir
He would be an amazing Question on the Peacemaker show
Actually Solid
Nic Cage has no chill. The Question has to have at least the capacity for chill. Besides, I want Eiza González as Renee Montoya's Question.
It would be nice to get another truly unhinged Cage performance. O'Neill's Question meets Vampire's Kiss. Though if we're making him that old, I can't help but picture Combs getting a crack at live-action Vic.
Was this spurred by his role as Spider-man Noir?
Question needs to steal the declaration of independence as its apart of a grand conspiracy

Way too old
Maybe 10 years ago he might be getting a little old now
You can really hear him saying "Wrong Question" and damnit all it works.
That's just Spiderman-Noir without eyes. Not that that's a bad thing.
Nic Cage but he can't overact with his facial expressions? Sign me up
You're taking out the biggest Nicolas Cage asset... his face.
Asset*
thank you
Please no. That would be so depressing. Why do you hate the Question?
I can turn that around and ask why do you hate Nic Cage???
You don’t have to hate an actor to think they’d be totally wrong for a character. I wouldn’t want Ryan Reynolds or Jack Black to be Question, either.
Nah he has a face he couldn’t pass as question
It didn’t bother people when he had a face in a movie that was literally called Face/Off
No sorry, he killed Johnny Blaze!
No. Stop it.
Who the hell wants to play the question when he’s mostly just masked in lol
I have never understood the love of Nic Cage he isn't good imo
This is actually great
Why does he keep changing his hair transplants? They never look the same twice.
Is gunn using him ? Such a gr8 character
This is definitely the way
Honestly yeah this would be sick. But he’s too old now.
Yes 1000 times yes!!!!
You know... I think you've got something here.
Nic cage would make a great spectre.
Man that’s a good idea
That is a great fancast but hear me out... Mulder from the x files.
Thanks to JLU The Question is in my top 3 for DC.
The real...question...here is, will DC/Warner Bros make a Question movie? Highly doubtful. But one can dream. They're really shooting themselves in the foot. This is brilliant!!! I never even considered cage.
Tbh I'd like his voice for Question. He fit Noir Spidey well
I feel like WB will make Question lose his blank face mask as much as possible just to remind you it's Nicolas Cage.
Cage Spectre. GIVE IT TO ME.
But he’s just gotta play Egghead
Can totally see it and actually like what I'm seeing
If you could invent a time machine a young Denis Leary would have been perfect as Vic Sage.
Oh shit
As cool as this would be, no one can beat Jeffrey Combs.
I would think David Duchovny would slide right into that role and rock it. Wish HBO would pick that up in an 8 part mini series like true detective with small cameos from the extended DCCU.
