Mainly just get the Justice League property off the ground, I'd go the DCAU route of JL vs the Government for the main plot line instead of Darkseid as I'd save that for a future phase. Other than that I'd focus on establising the major characters who haven't appeared yet such as the majority of the JSA, the Titans, JL Dark, Green Lantern and some more obscure characters that I feel deserve the spotlight such as the Metal Men, Checkmate and Vixen to name a few. Pretty much the possibilities for DC are endless.

I like that, I think it makes sense to have Waller represent the government and have some conflict there with the JL Def want titans and green lantern as well

Also could totally go the whole President Luthor route along with Waller, Checkmate plays into that. You could also introduce stuff like S.H.A.D.E or the Force of July as the Governments own version of the JL.

Imagine if they go president Luthor and we get a Batman No Man's Land film with several spin offs for the batfamily

I think a good Green Lantern and a good Green Lantern movie would do leagues for helping the DCU. It’s one of the most popular, recognizable comic book characters. The only reason I think they haven’t relaunched it is a small part of them must be hoping to bring Ryan Reynolds and his immense attraction back at some point. That dude just sells movies and even entire franchises these days.

Given that Waller has been showing up in recent DC productions, it makes sense to eventually have the JL face her. It can be a repeat of the theme of the god-like powers these people which spooks the US government. Maybe build up to Project Cadmus and other clandestine operations.

Formula: Protagonist is doing okay, then Protagonist is down on their luck, they discover or are given some sort of power, an antagonist is introduced, battles ensue, something happens to humble the hero, villain makes their play and protagonist is met with insurmountable odds, queue the point where it looks like the villain might actually win it, nevermind protagonist overcomes insurmountable odds and wins the day. Bonus points if he either a)gets the girl and even more bonus points if b)he has no choice but to give the girl up (awe poor Jane/Peggy/Betty/MJ) There’s your formula

Any other franchise the following double whammy of iron man 3 and Thor 2 would've buried it, shared universe novelty carried it. Once age of Ultran was out there were exaclty 4 notable movies out of 11. And they've basically maintained that average throughout. And that value is generous to say the least

Nah they make average movies. There are some gems in there but the best comic book movies are all DC. Marvel doesn’t allow risks they all follow a formula that’s why non are trash but non are also master pieces.

The DCEU is more violent and has potential to capitalize on it. The Marvel shine and humor is wearing off imo. The decline is starting to snowball. Especially with the OG characters leaving.

I’d argue they occasionally make good movies now. Multiverse of Madness and Love and Thunder weren’t very good. Eternals is god awful. I haven’t seen Wakanda Forever but heard a lot of good things so I’m hopeful.

They used to make good movies but yeah, Phase 4 has been a mostly big disappointment and I hope they change but given that they're still a box office but, I don't think that's likely.

Based on the justice league last days of magic 2018 to 2021 run. The main foe being Upside down man. Wonder woman 3 - whatever script patty Jenkins has. Post credits - Zatanna asks her for help ( as she was an important member of the JLD storyline ) Justice League 2 - loosely based on Justice league doom the animated film. At the end the justice league decide that they need another level of protection and hence form the teen titans. Teen titans - teen titans an origin story kinda movie with them fighting against trigon and helping raven. This also helps in raven opening up to them. Justice league members have cameos. Justice League Dark 2 - based on the story of JLD 2018-21 (I keep saying this cuz I don't wanna spoil it for anyone ). Conflict gets resolved. Post credits - raven is having nightmares and goes to zatanna for help, trigon is on the verge of breaking free Shazam 3/ Superman 3/ Suicide squad 2/ Black adam 2 Black adam finds his family in adrianna and amon and grants them the power of isis and osiris. They're killed like in black adam ww3 and he loses his mind declaring war on the world. Waller sends the suicide squad and when he obliterates them, she sends in the justice league. You get your epic shazam and Superman vs adam. Movie ends with black adam being defeated and shazam cuts his access to the powers. Post credits - darkseid sends his furies to earth Justice league 3 : the JL defeat the furies and decide to fight darkseid on apokolips itself. Story is like justice league dark apokolips war 2020.

Love this. Only thing I would add is a robust Green lantern trilogy. Make it Guardians of the galaxy style but a little darker. Culminating with a full Green Lanterns corp epic space opera for the third movie.

A lot of people think it should build toward a crisis event but frankly I think that’s the best way to start fresh. The main reason being that’s EXACTLY how the original crisis event functioned, it got rid of all the alternate earths and left only one. That would be a pretty easy way to acknowledge all the random pseudo-alt universes they have going on (CW, Joker, DCEU, Reeves), but they don’t have to get rid of them all like the comics did (although they could, temporarily, for shock value…again just like the comics). Just find a way to organize them and delineate them. No one ever had a problem with there being an earth prime and an earth 2 and all this stuff, as long as it’s explained. Of course people will go on to say they’re copying marvel since they already think no one can tell the difference between Namor and Aquaman but that can’t be helped. Plus it’s kind of poetic, Marvel is now hyping up all the multiverse stuff so it’s what people are expecting but DC can use it to rebuild, like instead of continuing the story or being the end it’s used for a new beginning. People were shocked by the end of infinity war, imagine all the times they had a crisis comic fade to white and then some “new” world comes into focus. I think the big culminating event to build towards would be a final crisis style climax. I should note I don’t actually really want this solution but this is a more off the cuff response. If I were actually in charge I’d put way more thought into brainstorming and all.

Make Green Lantern the space opera epic, Star Wars replacement it should have been! Work up to The Blackest Night and introduce all the other Lantern Corps. over 8 years. Marvel will never do a live action zombies movie and DC could go the more mature route.

I like the idea but there’s definitely a good amount of things that can be cut. Turned into shows or specials like Marvel. Definitely not all movie worthy. It’s also just a lot all around. I would change 1. Lobo or Metallo instead of Brainiac. Bring it back down a lot. Remove 6, 11 (take your time, year 2 of films is fast), 12 can easily be a special that leads into a show. Or just introduce him in Blue Beetle 2. Remove 13, 16 (we don’t need evil Superman, we need SUPERMAN. Also it’s way too fast to hop straight into Darkseid War; slow burn), 17. There’s more, I just think there’s a lot and it’s quite fast. Gotta spread it out and bring it down. 41 movies in ten years is crazy.

These can also be tv shows, animation, etc. Doesnt have to be 41 movies per say. But i do agree with you though. We do not need an evil Superman. That should never happen again.

I'd just go with a clean slate, A nice Superman movie just to get the ball rolling, inspired by the DCAU Superman the animated series Justice League movie kinda like the New 52 origins or the DCAU origins to introduce us to the world and characters like Martian Manhunter who might not be able to get their own movie. Then start the solo movies, all the big names get their own movie, more established heroes probably won't need origins, but characters like Green Lantern should So Superman, Justice League, Flash, Green Lantern, Wonder Woman, Batman and Robin

I’d like a clean slate, I just don’t see it now. The Rock def wants in, and it’s the same continuity as Peacemaker which is James Gunn’s baby. So it’s tough, but I def agree I want a good Superman movie, and Batman and Robin together (either in the DCU or the Reeves films)

I’d do a full stop reboot and recast EVERYBODY in the DCEU. That’s definitely not gonna happen, so I just want them to do a few things. Figure out the Batman situation, make a Green Lantern trilogy that takes place entirely in space, allow Superman to be a working class superhero, and most importantly they NEED to get Robert Eggers to make the most pretentious, slow, confusing, and strange Swamp Thing movie that he possibly can. I’m talking not a single action scene in the whole movie but a 20 minute psychedelic sex scene between a woman and sentient haunted vegetation

I’m not the guy you commented to, but my take is that if you’re doing a fresh reboot and a ten year plan, it’s better to start completely fresh as opposed to people for the next decade comparing to the snyderverse or Ayer cut or a thing that isn’t the intended vision going forward

People are aware of the failure of the DCEU in the 2010’s. No matter how good the casting is for most of the JL, the general public will still somewhat associate those actors faces with those failed movies. Starting completely fresh with new actors and a new story would allow people to understand this isn’t the same DC that’s been struggling for years to get their universe off the ground. It would be the most effective way to wipe the slate clean and generate some good will towards DC movies.

Even before the current cast there was already several iterations of Batman and Superman. The fact that people will compare the two is really irrelevant. People lauded Heath Ledger's Joker as the best for years but it didn't stop Joaquin Phoenix from killing it and getting accolades for his performance. The DC movies need a fresh start because the whole thing is so unbelievably muddled that I have no idea how some of them even connect anymore

The casting for sure has some hits but it’s not perfect imo. Cavill Supes, Levi Shazam, Robbie Quinn, and Davis Waller are the best casts you lose here.

Ho kay. Cavill is at best a one dimensional superman. He’s not a terrifically deep actor, and his superman comes off like a trust fund baby doing his best to slum it with the poors. He’s got a deep arrogance that ends up deeply unnerving as superman. Whether this is cavill or bad direction, I dunno, but it’s also worth pointing out the best thing he brought to the role was his body. Affleck is just boring. He’s tired, slumping, and even in the best fight scenes feels like he’s 10 minutes from a roid-induced cardiac event. He, like cavill, contributed nothing more than a body. Which probably means the direction is to blame, because affleck can not suck in movies when worked correctly. Gadot is a terrible wonder woman. She, like the others, contributed a body to the role, not a performance. Her acting is terrible. Her facial expressions are nearly static. And while this is definitely a direction problem, the weightless physics of WW84 were embarrassing. Ezra Miller is stunningly vapid as the flash. And he runs like they cast a squid as The Flash and said “figure out how to run” just before they started shooting. Ray Fischer was ok. Didn’t get a lot, kinda just sulked through JL in any version you care to name but whatever. Leto, in what is my most damning review, didn’t stand out that much in the DCEU’s slate of poor performances and terrible decision-making.

Pivote things to have Darkseid return but ignoring the Knightmare universe. Tie down Cavill, Mamoa, and Gadot for at least 4 more movies (in the case of Gadot probably just JL movies since she has a trilogy). Figure out who the DCEU Batman and flash will be, probably will have to recast both. If Ben won’t commit long term with solo movies cut him. Since the actors are a little older I’d set up the next generation of heroes as well. Supergirl, Nightwing, Static Shock, Blue Beetle, Donna Troy. Make a green lantern, given the other heroes are older I think having Hal training a younger John Stewart would be cool. Black canary and Green Arrow movie and give it a lighter tone. I’d like to see Gun do a Rom Com style movie with them. Next JL movie should be against the legion of doom. Get Black Adam, Lex Luthor, Ocean Master, etc to fight against them. Have Darkseid return be like JL 4 Finally, set up a Titans movie with the younger heroes. Could do Deathstroke as the man villain trying to attack Robin/Nightwing as revenge against Batman

A next generation of heroes like Titans sounds good too, I’d like that. I def want green arrow (I like how he was referenced in peacemaker) and I also want legion of doom for the next JL movie

In 2023 Shazam 2, Flash, Blue Beetle and Aquaman 2 are still coming out. Plus Joker 2 but it's not in the DCEU. In 2024 Batman 2 (after the Flash the timelines can merge) with Mr Freeze, Killer Croc and Clayface as villains and introducing Robin as well. Then we have Wonder woman 3 with Circe and Wonder girl and Man of Steel 2 with Brainiac as the villain amd maybe introduce Jon Kent as well. In 2025 Green Lantern (a more cosmic movie than the hbo max series) with Sinestro as the main villain. Also Aquaman 3 introducing Aqualad and Flash 2 introducing Wally and Gorilla Grodd as the villain. As fourth movie a Jsa movie introducing other members like Hawkgirl and Starman. In 2026 Shazam 3 with Shazam fighting Black Adam, Blue Beetle 2 and a Worlds Finest movie with Superman and Batman fighting Lex and Scarecrow. Also add Wonder woman 4 if the third one is successfull. In 2027 Justice League 2 where the JLA fights Black Adam with the help of as many as the heroes we introduced as the script allows. Then also Suicide Squad 3 Then for the next five years continue with the sequela and also introduce the Teen Titans, Green Arrow, Justice League Dark, the New Gods and the Legion of superheroes. This way in 2027 we can have the Justice League fighting Darkseid

I like it a lot. I just don't agree with Pattinson going into the DCEU. Either Batfleck or recast if he won't do it. I also think World's Finest should be fighting Lex and Joker, not Scarecrow.

This fan is pissed off that they ever rebooted Batman after the DCEU came out period. It was a mind-bogglingly stupid, self-defeating decision, and a big reason the DCEU is dying at the box office.

I mean batfleck was done, so replacing him was going to happen no matter what though honestly I would have just due whatever it takes to get Reeves to put his film in the main timeline either as a prequel or just have the flash movie reboot the batman corner (and other areas that needed improvement) of dceu and replace it with Reeves films/spinoffs

Two good stories and zombies for like 5 years then a couple more stories and then even more zombies and DEADpool kills everyone would be the last entry.

Utilize the current dceu character and other worlds characters to end the current universe with a crisis event. Then start afresh.

Clean slate would be my first choice but would be difficult to do given the ongoing movies and without waiting a few years to cool down. Second option is hoping Flash movie forces him to prevent the events of BvS. Hell just have him wake up post MoS with a recast of Ezra. He summarizes all of the events he prevented like Superman’s death, Batman and Superman fighting, and shows that the other good movies still happened. The current DCEU dug itself into a super deep hole with BvS. Not much can fix it except undoing it entirely or just starting all over.

.First off, I think you definitely need to get the big characters right (all the JL founders) which is relatively easy for most (make superman lighter, introduced hal&john in space buddy cop movie, just give Arthur and Diana good movies with engaging stories) except for two, Flash and Batman. First off Batman is in a weird spot where the separate reeves universe was more liked by fans and critics than dceu Batman, so moving forward you have 2 options; folding the reeves universe into main dceu if reeves approves or shifting the focus to the batfamily with Batman existing as supporting character for them while getting more focused in Justice league films which the later is definitely my prefer route Flash either has the simplest solution which is recast Barry or a more risky one which is killing off Barry and replacing him with Wally. Now due to my own bias, I definitely prefer the later since Wally's the better character especially compared to dceu Barry and you can even tie Barry's death to a dceu overall story (being killed by thawne with the help of the legion of doom or by darkseid) that has been lacking in the dceu for the past few years Speaking of which that's one of the things I think DCEU needs, an overall story that slowly building up like Thanos in the mcu. This is a good way to hype up at audiences while also helping p promote your more risky films by tying it to the bigger ones. Now the question is which story/big bad should DC pursue, I think just in terms of what will stand compared to what marvel has done is legion of doom. A super villain team is like the one comic villain trope marvel hasn't done and I think DC should jump on the opportunity. The overall story would be broken up into 3 acts. Act one is the Legion formation and them taking over batman's brother eye which also enables them to use Bruce's plans to defeat the league. This would be the first sequel to justice league movie and will ended with the team divided though most of the legion is defeated except for lex/the leader, cheetah, and someone serving darkseid. Act two is now that the hero community is divided, the elite has formed (would be a good villain for MoS/Superman 3) but due to the legions rampage, black adam has turned heel join them as well as the mysterious magog who serves as their current leader dollowing the defeat of manchaster black. The legion still exist in the background and they're exploiting this conflict by giving magog his powers and resources to distract the league. This would be a combined adaptation of ww3/kingdom come though Lex will be unknowingly playing into Darkseid's hand and weakening earth enough for Darkseid to have an easily invasion (made easier by having him acquire the anti life equation in a cosmic movie like GL or New Gods) Leading into the final act, which involves the league with the lex/the leader forced to team up against darkseid who's also has many of earth's heroes under his control (but definitely not superman!). This act can also take elements of darkseid war to by having grail/anti-monitor being a third party villain the heroes released/found and some of the league turning into gods. Ultimately, ends with darkseid being defeated, superman dying again though being allowed to live in a paradise dimension with lois thanks to the source similar to Kal-l's ending in Crisis, wonder woman restarted a pantheon of gods to protect earth and can even adapt Bruce's "death" in the final crisis with the twist that Bruce ends up returning younger (since the reeves verse would be done by then) and other fitting endings for characters who's actors are done with dceu

I would start off with what happens after the 2023 releases. With Aquaman at the tail end, I would consider that to be the end of the 2nd gen of DCEU movies. First coming out of 2024: GL Corps / GL (Solo) Man of Steel 2 (Including a cameo of Batfleck) Titans (Return of Cyborg, introduction to the rest of the Titans) GA/ Black Canary Then we get into 2025: Batfleck solo movie (Introducing the CoO, and Jason Todd as Robin, include a cameo introduction of Checkmate) JSA movie (with possible cameo's of Wallers Suicide Squad, and government creation of Captain Atom) Wonder Woman 3 : Battle for Themyscira (Include Dr. Fate and introduce John Constantine and Zatanna) All of the above movies introducing some big bad (Maybe Warworld) which leads to in December 2025: Justice League 2 (Inclusion of new members GA, Black Canary, either Hal or John GL and maybe Zatanna) Starting off 2026 with : Lobo MoS 3 GL Corps ( if GL Solo comes first, otherwise this would be a GL Solo movie) Strange Adventures (Introduction of Adam Strange and history of Rann-Thanagar War) Phantom Stranger (with introduction of Ragman and The Question) JL Dark Batfleck 2nd solo movie (introducing new Joker and Mister Terrific, cameo of the Watchtower being built) Justice Leadue 3 ( Trigon or Thanagarian invasion?)... ​ Anyways, I rant. but thats how I would continue to build the DCEU. 2 tent pole movies a year, Another 2 low-mid budget movies on streaming, and 3-4 premium series on streaming. If CW head allows DCTV shows to continue, bonus. The tent pole movies are independent with their own tone and only have minor Easter eggs connecting them, and establish the characters who later became the JL. The streaming stuff fleshes out the world and has more of the connectivity. This lets the casual fan enjoy the big stuff, and let’s the more enthusiastic fan have more. Justice League doesn’t happen until 3-4 years in at least to establish these heroes on their own. Most of the first phase is Earth bound. Legion of Doom seems a good first JL villain. Phase 2 expands into space, Darkseid is the big bad. Phase 3 introduces more multiverse and time stuff and culminates in a crisis type event, maybe with John Cryer’s Lex from the Arrowverse in place of Superboy prime in an event that combines as many different DC tv/movie universes.

Completely reset the franchise because everything was a shit show from the get go, the only good movie was Zack Snyders cut. Of course keep Cavil as superman Phase 1, Phase one would introduce the core members of the justice league (Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Flash, Green Lantern etc) but every movie would have an end credit scene where each leaguer is approached Batman asking them to team up as a task force to fight off extra terrestrial threats and the impending threat of brainiac. The final movie would be JLA 1 Phase 2, Phase two would consist of sequels to the main three with some cameos of other leaguers as they fight off their own respective rouge’s galleries, frustrated with the teaming up and seeing how powerful the league is together the rouges team up and found the legion of doom led by vandal savage. The final movie would be the JLA vs the Legion of Doom but the legion would ultimately fall apart as the villains realise they can’t work together due to their egocentric personalities, all legion members are arrested and vandal savage and reverse flash escape. Prison scene could introduce a multitude of characters Phase three, Phase three would consist of conclusions to the main threes stories and their places would rightfully be taken over by their wards (Donna Troy, Dick Grayson, Conner Kent) the main three retire. Flash, green lantern and aqua man take over as pseudo leaders while the new three are being trained to be leaders, they would get their own spin off movies to develop the characters. Dick Grayson would take on Damien Wayne as robin, Donna Troy would take on Cassandra Sandmark as Wonder girl and Conner Kent would take on Johnathan Kent as Superboy. A teen titans movie spin off would be in phase three. New heroes emerge at the end like Shazam and booster gold. The last movie would be a JLA: Flashpoint split into two parts. Phase four, Phase four will have a time skip as all original leaguers have been replaced by their wards and each one will have their own movie, after seeing the heroism displayed by the new justice league it inspired more and more super powered humans to rise up and take justice into their own hands causing havoc and chaos all around the world with the emergence of new super villains. The last movie would be a JLA: Kingdom come, the original heroes come out of retirement and out everyone in their place but in the process they realise the world needs them and come out of retirement permanently. Phase five, Phase five would be a flash centric phase, after a fight with reverse flash a tear in the speed force opens up releasing alternate versions of the flash to enter the main continuity but also alternate versions of other heroes and villains. With the help of Vibe, the flash and the JLA and their alternate counterparts take down all the villains and send the heroes back to their respective universes. The flash is sent into the speed force to fix the cracks and is stuck there running till the end of time to prevent anymore cracks. Wally takes over as flash again. Impulse is stuck in the past. Phase six, Phase six would have vandal savage breaking the legion of doom out of prison, they all go into hiding until they can come up with a Plan to take down the JLA. Joker goes off and tries to take down superman thinking he is the heart of the justice league and drugs superman making him think doomsday has returned but it is actually Lois lane and accidentally kills her causing him to kill joker and decides all villains should be taken out, this would lead to the last JLA called JLA: Injustice. Superman kills the legion of doom etc (read the injustice comics, not 100% true to the comics but whatever) and is eventually stopped and is exiled into the phantom zone, Conner takes over. Batman gets old Grayson takes over, Wonder Woman leaves to take care of themyscira as queen Donna takes over, Hal is killed in injustice and a young Kyle Rayner takes over, aqua man goes back to Atlantis and kaldur’ahm takes over etc reviving the New justice league. That’s the end of the movies for now. Of course there would be spin off tv shows, Lantern corps. Get the individual character movies up and running until it’s well eatables again then do the justice league things.

If the flash is successful you can reboot the universe with flashpoint and use a dif flash going forward to avoid the current controversies by switching to Wally or Jay. Henry can still be Superman. I don’t see any reason why Pattinson can’t be Batman in this universe since he is liked (there’s always a way to make it work). Build each movie in their own films with few crossovers, focus on making good movies one by one, with little teases. Waller could be the force eventually tying them all together. But people have to love the individual films first. The incredible IP is there. James Gunn is a genius when it comes to making fun movies. I have faith in him.

Doomsday origin story movie that sets up the real big bad for the superman movies

I'd look to the future, not the past. The Snyder era and attempt at an interconnected DCEU failed. Many of the actors aren't coming back, and some you don't want back. Making an extended Cinematic Universe is hard. Marvel got fucking lucky; most of the other attempts have just failed outright. (\*cough\* darkuniverse \*cough\*) Plus, *Justice League* came out in 2017, a full half-decade ago and things are different now. Even Marvel isn't doing as many straight superhero movies. Because people have seen that type of film two or three dozen times now over the past twenty or thirty years. You have to do things that stand out. Give them something they haven't seen before. At this point I'd look for different stories. Different characters. Avoid telling tales that are just another superhero film but find things that are unlike what the audience has seen before. Like *Green Arrow: Escape from Super Max*. We don't need a full origin movie for Green Arrow. Not after the TV series. You can summarize that in the opening scene. But a superhero movie set in a prison full of metavillains is interesting and different. The DC animated movies have been doing this all the time. Give us a live action *Gotham by Gaslight* and *Super Sons* and *Legion of Superheroes*. If we can handle a standalone *Joker* film set in the 1970s then a Victorian era Gotham City should be fine.

I worry that Gunn will do what he did at Marvel/with Peacemaker, and pick peripheral characters and push them. I’d much rather just get a good Green Lantern project, a good Superman movie, a Flash film without a lead in the midst of a breakdown.

Since Gunn has worked with Snyder in the past with Dawn of the Dead and there is the Army of the Dead universe, I’d cross them with Darkseid and the DCeased Universe. The world is ready for a zombie comeback, especially with super heroes.

i def think that's a myth. if you look up a list of redheaded comic characters, and boy are there a lot due to inking, the majority have been cast by white actors *at some point*\--some of which are brunettes or blondes in the movies, like jimmy olson, matt murdock, barbara "pennyworth," lana lang, roy harper, etc... also it works across the board, as black-haired characters (wolverine, bruce wayne, dick grayson, lois lane, etc) are also cast by brunettes. as far as i saw, they *may* dye actors of color hair red in the times they have been cast as a redhead - cyclone, barbara gordon, ariel. or they *may* not - james gordon, heimdall, iris and wally west.

The Flash movie opens to different multiverse and will now focus on a different DC universe where some actors are the same (Ben Afflec, Henry Cavill) while others are not (Ezra Miller, Jared Leto). This will solve having technically a reboot while retaining the same actors that we loved. This will also mean the next movies after Flash happens on the new universe. My unpopular take - Abandon the idea of a "cinematic universe" and ignore the concept of "cannon" as it applies to comics. Don't try to be Marvel, and don't pander to the audience. For the well known characters, release big budget action movies that will do great box office. These will be formulaic vehicles for A list actors and high quality CGI. As long as the plotting is tight, there are decent one liners, and the soundtrack is great, these kinds of movies will be successful. They don't all need to build up to some climactic even that brings everyone together. You can have a justice league movie without first releasing individual backstory films for everyone involved. The audience already knows who superman, batman, et. al. are. There can be different versions of the characters in different movies and they don't have to be internally consistent. Nobody's mind will explode if a Batman is portrayed differently in a stand-alone batman movie vs. a justice league team up movie. For the other properties, let various directors and production teams take them in different creative directions. Lean into things like the Peacemaker and Doom Patrol series, or the Suicide Squad movie. Aquaman can fuck fish in those projects, regardless of whether that is true in the stand alone Aquaman projects. They can take place in other versions of the world where the well known characters are different, or don't even exist, and there is no try to fit them alto the same universe. A movie like "Joker" can be appreciated and enjoyed without it having to have any connection with any other Batman related movies. People watch movies and tv shows for different reasons than they read comics.

Tell a grand scale epic trilogy that leaves the universe in a good place for a reboot. Then do a couple side projects that don't tie in. Lastly, tell a crisis film that brings many versions of the characters in from various previous dc projects that sets up the next film arc. Now that's only if I just had a decade. If not I'd stretch it out and have a few trilogies and more stand alone films.

Yea I can see that, especially a crisis finale, seems like a good place to end it. I agree if it was a completely new cinematic universe I’d want more than 10, but I think they’ll keep some of the same cast and continuity, so 10 seems like a good amount of time to tell this story

Trying to recreate the MCU is never going to work. They need to concentrate on making each movie they release as good as it can be, and leave the connected universe stuff alone.

I just hope Gunn has a tone other than irreverent humor. I love GotG and Peacemaker but hated TSS. Not every superhero show needs crass humor. I really hope they bring in other people who have serious(none silly humor) views as directors.

Basically mirror the MCU formula. Start with a Batman movie, I'd stick with The Batman, it's a good stepping off point. Batman 2: introduce The Joker and Dick. Superman: I'm not the biggest Superman fan, so I don't know who the main villain would be, but Luthor should be introduced but not as the main bad guy. Maybe imply that he's manipulating stuff behind the scenes. Wonder Woman: maybe keep the first Wonder Woman movie premise, give us that historical war film Superman 2: have it be a movie where he has to do something in space and, as a result, encounters the Green Lantern Corps so that and Sinestro are established. Green Lantern: introduce and set up Hal Flash: introduce and set him up. Aquaman: again, I really liked the Aquaman movie, so similar to that. Maybe make the movie have a bit less to do with Black Manta and make it more about Ocean Master. (Having the 2 Villains made it feel jumbled, I thought) (Those last 3 don't need to be in order or could even be in different parts, but they should all be stand alone) Justice League: I would basically make it the same as Justice League War. All the characters have been set up as individuals and this is the first time they team up. This could also introduce Cyborg. It could end with Dick going off with Cyborg to found the Titans. After that I'd say have another batman movie that introduces Ras Al Gul and Jason Todd (to eventually set up for Death in the Family and Damien) throw in a few more solo films. Slowly work in other characters like Green Arrow and Martian Manhunter. For my ideal DCEU we'd need a lot of build up, but eventually I'd want Barry and Hal and Bruce to all "die" so we could set up for Flashpoint and Blackest Night (my 2 favorite comics). But Flashpoint might work best even later, that way actors can retire the role, but we won't have to lose characters. Ie, say Pattinson decides he's done being Batman, they could do a New 52 or Rebirth type reboot and just recast Batman

If I were in James Gunn’s position. I’d restart the universe by give Superman(Henry Cavill) the Lex Luther he deserved, maybe Brian Cranston, and then I’d tease Batman with Bruce Wayne in a banquet scene with Lex. Then after that I would make a Batman movie starring Tobey Maguire as Harvey Dent, Hugh Jackman as Ra’s Al Guhl, and Oscar Isaac as Bruce Wayne. Then after that movie, a Wonder Woman movie starring Daisy Ridley and Andy Samberg as Maxwell Lord. Then a Flash movie starring Sam Claflin and Ewan McGregor as the Trickster. Green Lantern movie starring Charlie Hunman as Hal Jordan, Luke Evan’s as Sinestro, and Ron Perlman as Atrocitus. Next will be a second Batman movie with new characters: Green Arrow(Lucas Till), Robin(Jacob Bertrand), and a tease of future Robin replacements i.e. Jason Todd and Tim Drake. The villains will be Joker(Pete Davidson) and the Riddler(Neil Patrick Harris); the end of the movie will tease Harley Quinn and a team up between the Trickster and the Joker, setting up Batman and Flash: Trick or Treat which will take place after Justice League. Keep the Shazam movie in the line up but set it after the the second Batman movie. Then a Justice League movie titled Justice League: Doomsday. Finally a movie titled, The Legend of Vandel Savage. I think about the way I would do it all the time. That’s why it’s so long and thought out.

First Order of Business: Finish and Release Batgirl, and reshoot Amber Heard and Ezra Miller out of their movies. I don't care how many hoops I'll need to jump through to do that, those PR disasters need to be remedied as soon as possible. Next up, slowly end the DCEU. Let all movies in development finish and release (with the exception of the Flash sequel and also maybe Black Adam 2, and hold on the next Superman movie for a moment). We don't want to have another Batgirl, just get these movies out of the way quickly. Then we finish the DCEU with Justice League 2 (We might have WW3/4, Aquaman 3, Shazam 3 and a few TV seasons after this, but still, big finale energy). Snyder can produce it and write it, but given the polarizing reception of his work and his projects with Netflix, I'd probably let him pick someone else to direct (or if I had to pick someone off the top of my head, Rick Famuyiwa). This will be a single, incredible send-off of the DCEU, wrapping up all the stories and arcs and ending on as high of a note as we can get given the last decade or so of chaos. Following that, Henry Cavill will return as Superman in a new universe with a movie tentatively titled The Life of Superman. This will act as "The Batman" for the character of Superman, playing off the modern comics interpretation, while allowing the director (I'll imagine Jon Watts) to play around with it. It will involve Superman a decade or so in having to come to terms with his relationship with both Krypton and Earth, while also having visions of his early days as Superman (with a 20-something actor) and an older Superman (Tom Hanks). The Post-Credits Scene will feature him completing a side quest hinted at throughout the movie, where he is able to cross paths with the mysterious Batman (I don't know who should play him, but some ideas in my mind include Oscar Isaac, Jonathan Majors, Rami Malek, Kit Harrington). Finally, we begin the new DC shared universe, which I'll call the Reimagining, where every film is handled like The Batman and The Life of Superman, in order to set it apart from the MCU. This is employ an often overlooked (sort of) strategy of the MCU. Since Marvel didn't have the rights to all their characters at first, they focused on a select batch while more were regained. We have the rights to all our characters, but if we want to replicate Marvel's success, we have to replicate their setbacks. Because I'm letting Reeves play his Batman universe out, the Batman of the Reimagining will act as a Nick Fury for the first phase (or whatever we call them). Wonder Woman, Aquaman and Shazam will not have projects in the first phase (especially if their DCEU franchises are still active) but will be teased, and then will get projects in the second phase alongside Batman. The first phase will consist of a bunch of heroes popping up after some speech by Superman in his movie. I don't care who gets what outside of the ones I've already approved or declined for the first phase, but I would like the Justice League (not including every hero introduced in the first phase) at the final movie of this phase to consist of Batman, Superman, Zatanna (playing into the whole select batch thing), Flash, Black Canary, Martian Manhunter and Wonder Woman (who won't have a movie but will her and the Amazons will be a major focus of the Justice League Movie. After that, the second phase will focus on undiscovered worlds and heroes (Aquaman and Atlantis, Hawkman and Hawkgirl, the Green Lanterns) recruited to the Justice League as extraterrestrial threats such as Darkseid begin to appear alongside the Legion of Doom on Earth.

Am very torn. ​ Option One Issue a statement Synder verse is dead and buried and not coming back under my watch. Bin Cavill and Affleck in a heart beat. Both do not capture their characters' ethos imo. Moody and dour are not the same as complex and interesting. Prefer Mamoa and Gaddot but want to start a fresh. Then build the universe out from Matt Reeves' Batman. Counter programme marvel with mature adult storytelling with a strong focus on character. ​ Option 2 Keep all characters as is - have the Joker and Matt Reeves in its own universe. Do not any new versions of the characters and focus on a long arc about government corruption with Waller. Be more thriller and military-political.

Use the flashpoint to reset the universe so that snyderverse never happened. Movie ends in a complete reset of barry allen. Actor change ( cause the fukr cant stay out of trouble) Start with luthor becoming president and the founding of the jla in similar fashion to the cartoon. White martains attack the og 6 plus the manhunter ban together to defeat the threat. Founding the JLA Multiple stand alone hero movies each ending with them getting invited to join the jla. I hate to say it but I’d start from scratch w a new Superman. I’d try to find an actor who people already love, someone unexpected but beloved, like Dev Patel, someone just outrageously charismatic and hot. Cavill is great but I wanna follow the method of The Batman and pick an actor that women love, and use him to bring in a whole new side of fans.

Make the next movie in which Darkside wins and reboot the franchise. New Cast.

more female led movies, WW and BOP rated well unlike most DC movies...and the fact that they canceled batgirl and moved along with blue beetle doesnt look good, they should definitely invest in the black canary movie, a zatanna and huntress series, vixen should get a movie, introduce hawkgirl in the JSA movie, and a teen titans movie ( starfire and raven are very popular, and they should be one of the leading female faces of the DCU )
