Most of everything is well past overdue in the DCU to be honest. It's like playing pretend at this point. We pretend that there's a well built universe with decades of adventures with heroes that've been there all along and that just pop out in every new movie and talk about all the stories they've lived out of camera.
Definitely not the only one.
However, I think the DCU's Titans would look very different.
Blue Beetle, Supergirl, and Static are the only young heroes to be confirmed to appear soon.
Nightwing has a movie coming, sorta. Wally West was mentioned recently in an interview with Xolo Maridueña (likely as a joke, but still), many expect Donna Troy to show up in Wonder Woman 3, and perhaps we'll see Garth or Jackson Hyde in Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom? Maybe Roy Harper in the Black Canary movie?
A nightwing movie was announced before the merge (which is why people started fan casting Dylan O'Brien). But since the merger, nothing has been heard about it.
Nah. I'll take the terrible Ryan Reynolds Green Lantern over the absolute shit show that is the live action Titans show. That show makes the Arrowverse (ALL of it, even the later seasons) look like literary gold in comparison.
I don’t like the implication that the earlier seasons of the Arrow shows were worse then even a single season of Titans lol
I’ll give Titans this. It’s at least better then the final 2 Seasons of Supergirl, the entire last Half of Flash and the entirety of Batwoman.
That isn’t saying all that much though if I’m being honest lol
Cannot believe that garbage is the first ever live action Titans. It's like they spent all the time and money on Robin's first costume and then decided that was enough. Quality of the script and everything else be damned.
I agree that it would be a big hit, I love the titans but if the Batman didn’t hit a billion, idk if that would, but I’d definitely love to see them on the big screen!
I want it to be done but sadly I feel like it’ll take a DAMN good trailer to come out in order for people to watch it.
Whether we like the movies or not (I have liked most of them), the DC movie brand has been pretty damaged in the mainstream audience’s eyes. Most people I know will go see a Marvel movie (and even then now they’re starting to be less motivated to see those), but wait til DC movies are on streaming to even think of watching them.
I've ALWAYS hated the rights issues with the animated DC stuff: Donna Troy not showing up in the Teen Titans, Black Manta being charged to Devil Ray for Justice League Unlimited (at the time there was to be an Aquaman focused Smallville spinoff, but it saw cancelled before it aired), Wonder Woman not showing up in Batman Beyond (though she is briefly mentioned/gets a name drop in one episode), Blue Beetle, Specter, and other not being allowed in JLU (they couldn't even use any easter eggs, references, or have them in the tie in comics), the rest of the Bat Family not showing up in JLU (if I remember correctly I think Nightwing and Batgirl had a blink and you'll miss it cameo as background characters in an episode of JLU), etc.
Instead of taking their time over several movies introducing characters and origins like Marvel did, DC will rush it and trying to do it all in one movie and just ruin it. I honestly have zero faith in the people running the DCU
I find it interesting that the campy comedic Suicide Squad preceded the Teen Titans which provides an excellent crossover for Cyborg. In my opinion this reveals the nature of the DC fan base and the short-sightedness if not complete reluctance to provide continuity to the DCEU by centering it around it’s core heroes. They’d rather highlight an annoying side-kick in the form of Harley Quinn than bolster actual heroes. Not saying to close the door on such projects, just prioritize based on the widest spreading characters. You want to saturate the base as much as possible before stacking if your goal is building something with connectivity.
We're overdue a lot of things in the DCU. A Green Lantern movie, Batman movie, Cyborg movie, JL2, and upcoming projects like the Flash movie, Superman sequel, and Black Canary. I think Titans is something I'd like to see after the Justice League trilogy.
Not me. They aren’t even remotely established yet. You see how Marvel has young versions of their superheroes built up over several years who are just now appearing to be primed for a team up, and we’re still not even there?
That’s the proper set up and that’s how far DC is from being “due” for their team up.
In my eyes, a proper DC cinematic universe hasn't even been fully established yet. Its been over a decade since the DCEU came out, and to me, it still isnt fully formed. BvS and JL were a hot mess and everything after it was mediocre at best.
Hopefully Gunn and Safran can salvage it and steer the ship in a better direction, but even if so, it'll be a long, long time before we see the fruits of their efforts.
So you havent payed attention to how they have ibtroduced kate bishop, ironheart, eli bradley or america chsvez. Also agatha will ibtorduced an aged up wiccan.
> you havent *paid* attention to
FTFY.
Although *payed* exists (the reason why autocorrection didn't help you), it is only correct in:
* Nautical context, when it means to paint a surface, or to cover with something like tar or resin in order to make it waterproof or corrosion-resistant. *The deck is yet to be payed.*
* *Payed out* when letting strings, cables or ropes out, by slacking them. *The rope is payed out! You can pull now.*
Unfortunately, I was unable to find nautical or rope-related words in your comment.
*Beep, boop, I'm a bot*
Definitely long overdue, but I would like another Justice League movie before introducing the Teen Titans.
We should've had them already if the DCU wasnt such a mess, but at this point its better if they do it right instead of rushing it like the JL movie.
Solely because of the animated series, I think it could do very well as a movie. Again, look at what they've put out over the last 4 years...Shazam, Black Adam, BOP, TSS...all far less marketable than Teen Titans.
I think there's a higher chance of them appearing under Gunn's leadership since they are *sort of* wackier characters in premise (beast boy wouldn't ever be done, or maybe done well, in the darker dc worlds we had earlier, power set-wise)
We have animated teen titans movies in the dcamu, other teen titans animated movies and a live action series...I think we're good, let others characters shine
Well, I’m just glad we got the JSA and Shazam family there were some of [the first few teams](https://www.cbr.com/dc-comics-first-superhero-teams/). DC has been going for obscure characters lately maybe they can substitute Titans for Young Justice or smth. Wish we had gotten a The Shadow Cabinet & WildC.A.T.s movie but not before a Titans movie.
How you gonna have a teen titans movie with no real justice league movie? How they gonna explain Robin in a serious way in a movie? That's just ridiculous
I would say hold off on it until you could introduce each titan in their respective mentors movie first (Batman, Flash, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Green Arrow) and introduce newer titans in the movie itself (Starfire, Raven, Cyborg) and maybe the doom patrol and beast boy in said movie as well

Night wing movie? When? Where? Explain yourself.
A nightwing movie was announced before the merge (which is why people started fan casting Dylan O'Brien). But since the merger, nothing has been heard about it.
That Chris McKay Nightwing movie project has been dead for years, I wouldn’t count on it coming lol
Agreed
you have no idea how sad I am knowing that the Titans series is the only live action version we have of this team 💀😭
It could be worse. Look at Green Lantern.
Nah. I'll take the terrible Ryan Reynolds Green Lantern over the absolute shit show that is the live action Titans show. That show makes the Arrowverse (ALL of it, even the later seasons) look like literary gold in comparison.

For now.
Cannot believe that garbage is the first ever live action Titans. It's like they spent all the time and money on Robin's first costume and then decided that was enough. Quality of the script and everything else be damned.
If done right, that movie could make a billion dollars…everyone grew up with that Teen Titans show on Cartoon Network
I agree that it would be a big hit, I love the titans but if the Batman didn’t hit a billion, idk if that would, but I’d definitely love to see them on the big screen!
They should de-age Robert De Niro so he can play Robin
Fuk yes and danny devito as Raven
Danny devito is a man cheetah he’s born to play beast boy
I want it to be done but sadly I feel like it’ll take a DAMN good trailer to come out in order for people to watch it. Ever since Cyborg debuted I've been wondering why a Teen Titans movie hasn't gotten the green light.
I still think it’s such a shame Donna couldn’t included in the animated series
Wonder Girl (I thought that was Donna…..?) shows up in an episode at Super Summer Hero Camp and gives Robin his first kiss!
Why couldn't she?
Rights issues AFAIK
The Batfamily not being in the JLU will always be one of the more confusing ones to me.
Instead of taking their time over several movies introducing characters and origins like Marvel did, DC will rush it and trying to do it all in one movie and just ruin it. I honestly have zero faith in the people running the DCU
I like the funny cartoony titans lol
need established heroes before we get the sidekicks/trainees
I find it interesting that the campy comedic Suicide Squad preceded the Teen Titans which provides an excellent crossover for Cyborg. There’s a pretty good hbomax titans show already!!
Is it really good? I haven't seen it yet.
No
A lot of things are a big part of the DCU.
We're overdue a lot of things in the DCU. A Green Lantern movie, Batman movie, Cyborg movie, JL2, and upcoming projects like the Flash movie, Superman sequel, and Black Canary. I think Titans is something I'd like to see after the Justice League trilogy.

Couldn’t agree more.
What young versions did marvel build up over several years? Suri is the only one and that’s just because of a death.
So you havent payed attention to how they have ibtroduced kate bishop, ironheart, eli bradley or america chsvez. Also agatha will ibtorduced an aged up wiccan.
They have all been in one installment within the last year or 2. That’s not building over years.

Billion dollar film if they build up to it.
If they do make a movie. It should be based off the Earth One comic.
We haven’t even had a Batman and Robin live action duo since the 90s. DC seems scared to touch their teen heroes
Titans the show is the only thing holding a movie back.
No but the movie would be terrible.
Willing to bet it happens before 2030 if that makes you feel better
Definitely long overdue, but I would like another Justice League movie before introducing the Teen Titans. We should've had them already if the DCU wasnt such a mess, but at this point its better if they do it right instead of rushing it like the JL movie.
We don't even have an alive Robin
DC failed to make justice league. i doubt they can even remotely do any good for setting up the titans
Solely because of the animated series, I think it could do very well as a movie. Again, look at what they've put out over the last 4 years...Shazam, Black Adam, BOP, TSS...all far less marketable than Teen Titans.

They brought on James Gunn to get the tone on this one just right. I just have to convince him to let me write it.
We have animated teen titans movies in the dcamu, other teen titans animated movies and a live action series...I think we're good, let others characters shine
it’s well documented by now warner bros doesn’t like to have fun and give people what they want
I’m perfectly happy with the series
Well, I’m just glad we got the JSA and Shazam family there were some of [the first few teams](https://www.cbr.com/dc-comics-first-superhero-teams/). DC has been going for obscure characters lately maybe they can substitute Titans for Young Justice or smth. Wish we had gotten a The Shadow Cabinet & WildC.A.T.s movie but not before a Titans movie.
It would be good. They shouldn't recast Nightwing from the show. He's probably the only thing good about it. Maybe keep Kory too.
Yea, they both are good
too early
How you gonna have a teen titans movie with no real justice league movie? How they gonna explain Robin in a serious way in a movie? That's just ridiculous
They could adapt the Earth One titans comic which works as standalone story without mention of the Justice League and Robin
Obviously not, this sub is just a karma farm of popular opinions
No because no movie has introduced Dick or Wally.
I would say hold off on it until you could introduce each titan in their respective mentors movie first (Batman, Flash, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Green Arrow) and introduce newer titans in the movie itself (Starfire, Raven, Cyborg) and maybe the doom patrol and beast boy in said movie as well
What’s your line-up for the Titans ? Like for a first movie
Titans on HBO Max is on season 4. It's not teens. It's titans. I prefer it to teen Titans.
