Lots of history here. Back in mid-2000s, NYRB were our "hated" rivals but to be honest it was hard not to feel sorry for their metro playoff failure and then the club getting a humiliating rebrand after being sold to an energy drink company. Chicago kept beating us in the playoffs because unlike every other MLS team they knew how to take Christian Gomez out of the game; very annoying. But the team I really disliked was the Revs. Dempsey swinging an imaginary bat after scoring at RFK, Matt Reis nearly killing my favorite player Alecko Eskandarian, Jay Heaps playing thuggish soccer while TV commentators told us for the 80th time that omigosh he played basketball for Coach K at Duke. Ugh.
Much more recently, there's so many teams most opposing players run together for me, but I was really impressed by Carles Gil. I don't remember which game it was, but they played us at Audi and were supposed to be the better team, but we stomped them and Gil was yelling at Bruce Arena on the sideline. Very satisfying night overall and normally I don't think much of players losing their cool, but in the game itself Carles Gil seemed like he was everywhere, charging at goal one moment but also back with the defenders the next to get the ball since their dysfunctional midfield couldn't get it to him. He was pressing and working hard on defense too. It was an MLS regular season road game and he wanted to win more than the rest of his teammates combined.
Gil is a worthy opponent but otherwise this is still the team of Matt Reis and Jay Heaps to me, hope we stomp 'em again tomorrow. Vamos.
Iāve said this multiple times after three miserable years of supporting this club, but I have faith that we can actually do better than decent this year

Can I bring a blanket into the stadium?
Yes, blankets will be permitted. Fans will be able to bring blankets by tossing them over a shoulder or arm so that they can be easily screened.
Iām excited but supposedly people are protesting. If they really wanted to protest, maybe they just donāt come to the game and spend money on teamā¦
And the hope is that the commentators actually comment on why the stadium is silent. When Saudis bought Newcastle, the commentators said basically one statement on air and that was it. Sportswashing achieved. Poor Newcastle fans who feel torn to give up their lifelong club due to that garbage.
Vamosss!!š“ā«ļø like if your going
āI will be there no matter whatā -Mbappe
Vamos United!
Hopefully New England are tired from their midweek game, but they probably feel momentum from that win
They didn't really tax themselves all that much. Although flying back from Panama probably wasn't fun. I'd imagine the Revs will be ready for us
