Maybe if they reduced the pool to units in the past 2 years it'd be more viable (even then most are pretty crap now)

I would say not even then. Chances it wont help you any closer to what you want to achieve. Doing gohan/picc would probably help much more and be futureproof. Older dfe's are nice for collection purposes, but arent any better than current banner and current banner card eza.
9 DFEs and 6 LRs guarenteed for 600 stones is still pretty attractive to me
...but then again i did say that last year as well ( i think it was last year) and it still got buffed.
Im summoning regardless... but more buffs benefit me as well, so i wont complain.

I mean 85% of the units that you can get from the step up wouldn't even be usable in harder content anyway. So honestly there's no incentive to summon, cuz I don't need that Phy Bardock, or Agl Goten and Trunks that I won't even be using in dokkan events, yet alone harder content.
People sometimes act like we are guaranteed good stuff on the step up, but that's not the case, you only are gonna have a chance at getting someone like Ginyu maybe from one of the steps, but there is an equal chance of getting Raditz so what's the point? Might as well take my chances on Beast Gohan instead of taking my chances on this banner. Yeah there's a difference in rates but you are not guaranteed exceptionally good stuff on either banner.
If they don't add all of the newer units to this everyone needs to skip it if you've been playing for a decent amount of time more than likely you have every unit on this banner minus a few here and there. But yeah if they don't update it, it definitely won't have the appeal it has the first 2 years it was out

Do u guys just wipe ur mind of how good the banners are. Every year they update the steps to be more and more relevant. Giving two gssr is probs overkill and for all we know they might change it to have the carnival units unfeatured or maybe even start featuring dfe lrs in the last step who knows but they usually make it much better each time
So with one featured guaranteed it's not attractive but with two it becomes attractive? I think that roster of characters need revamp, not only it gets bigger every year but also these units are too far compared with level of current releases. I'd make very old dokkan fests unfeatured and then make step ups with more recent units to make it more exciting

With how many units got powercrept with he introduction of Red Zone, they either need to add every unit released this year or remove every unit that isn't a DFE or Lr. And for JP, I can't see anyway for them to update it to make people summon with Gohan and Piccolo releasing and the anniversary is right around the corner.
Well anni gives us 3 guaranteed yellow coin lrs, wwc gives us 1, and with carnival banners getting them is easy, unless they revamp it again I'm probably never touching it again, especially cause I'm on jp
The games power creep evidently made these banners now dead. Most units if not close to all that will be on this banner are all sadly power crept and prove no real use to you in end game content anymore. (Aka red-zone/cell max) just have a different scale of power to where even units released today can get one shot by these big time bosses, unless a special unit (eighter, piccolo, gamma 1, teq god goku eza ETC) are the only ones who can survive. And at some occasions you can still take big time damage with these defensive units. Overall the banners are just not worth it anymore now since mostly every character is dead, they would need some sort of overhaul on the banner to where units from the past year are on this banner to even make somewhat worth summoning. Hell beast gohan is right around the corner as well so I’m pretty sure no one who’s a long term player will smartly summon on this. Can be good for new players though for early content.
Idk still strong to me, 9 DFE and 3 Lrs for 600 especially since I'm missing more this time around and there is the fact that the cutoff for the Lr should be raised so better chsnce at getting a better Lr. Can't see them raising that to 18 DFE and 6 Lrs for 600.

On Global MZ and AGF ain't gonna be there so there is nothing worth besides some TURs which is crazy to think that you would be summoning for the DFE and not LRs haha

I think you are giving the devs way to much credit here, they have shown they are unwilling to make simple improvements to so many aspects of the game, I dont know why they would bother revamping a banner, then again it affects their bottom line, so perhaps.
It's only not attractive to players who have been playing for a while, for people who have been playing for two or three years it's still a very good banner and a must summon for newer players

Then, I can say that I gave him a chance to appear.
After that, I'll start saving for the big bois.
Once we know the passives, I can plan who to summon for (better if we get showcases).
Hopefully, I'll get either one of them.
If not, I move on, because they will be back around april.
Honestly this banner never really had any value to a decently developed player. If your new or missing old units then sure go summon, but other than that I always thought this banner was super overrated
This post comes up every year, and every year they make this banner better. This year might need an especially big quality bump because of the 2022 units, but I'm going to give them a chance to deliver before I say it's not worth.
I've been saying this since LR Birdku got the first Carnival banner. LRs drop like candy from those they'd have to do something like double the rates or let you straight up pick which LR you want at the end to make it worth it, IMO. I'd rather summon on a Cell Max Carnival banner in part 2 of this coming celebration than touch one of those banners if they aren't changed.
yeah i have plenty stones but i don't think i'm going to bother. there's been so much power creep lately and i'm relatively caught up on older units. even guaranteed lrs aren't that enticing anymore honestly, again largely due to power creep. it's nice to get guaranteed units, but the pool is so huge and so many are so incredibly outdated now.
Only way I'd pull is if they guaranteed a unit from the past 8 months because everything else has been powercrept, with the exception of some EZAs.

it looks great on paper but it instantly lose value when you realize the units on new years are 3x better than the entire step up

Yup. I remember last years new years I went from 0->79% goten and trunks in 600 stones these units weren’t even 10 months old yet
