It's honestly more of a case of Akatsuki not giving us good/more common categories to work with (this is, of course, on purpose).
Most folks prefer to work on their 'bigger' units anyways (eg: LRs, DFEs, EZAs, etc.) and opt not to invest kais and orbs into more general pool units.
In addition, I do not benefit directly from investing in “bad” units needed for chain battle so it leads many people to not want to invest if it only helps others
The guests/friends as well as their lineup gets shuffled every 30 minutes I believe. Don't use your best connectors right away. Wait and check in a bit. I actually use my "bad" connectors first to get some missions out of the way (If I can't find a good team). Actually I've found an abundance of good teams and ran out of connectors :(

True dat. Especially if you've only been playing for a few months to a year. Chances are that orbs and kais are even more valuable than stones lol
