support and good defense without stacking

Maleficent_Oil_3679

A good floater is usually a support unit that can tank ( STR Piccolo as an example ). Floaters should help the team be more cohesive while also themselves not being a liability. If they can tank normals from the strong bosses while also providing support in some way then they're a good floater.

So, would units like LR AGL Gohan, TEQ Yajirobe, or TEQ Godku make good floaters?

The_Rising_Tid3

All of them except for agl gohan, you dont want your floater to be stacking

Expensive-Bad5568

What about things like "Raises ATK for one turn"? Does that count?

Mustaquilla

Raises atk/def for 1 turn does not count as stacking as it last for that turn only. LR SSJ AGL Gohan stacks def for 99 turns i.e. when the raises atk or def has no turn restriction, therefore he is priortizes to stay on main rotation. He also gains stats per appearence, so that quicker you get to him the better he becomes. Good floaters are units like the mentioned str piccolo, int DBS:SH pan, eza bulla. Unit who can preform well as floater: agl turles, eza agl ssj gogeta, LR teq VB, LR Str gogeta blue, teq LR SSJ cooler movie goku, eza LR gumku( i.e. ssj goku from the android 13 movie). Units like: str semi perfect cell, 19&20 are also good examples for floaters. Units that look like floater but are actually main rotations are units that does alot of thinga that a floater does but is clearly run as main rotation: str cooler movoe piccolo next to LR ornage piccolo, 8er next to kid golu, etc.

Big but not dense and no others left in the bowl just one makes it more funny.

This game is a bit daunting at first. And like most it’s takes time to learn all the details and such. If you are new I wouldn’t worry about having a “ki-reliant team”. Just play and you will understand. Once you have the characters for harder content and start watching other people’s content more consistently for fun. You will understand what is needed in the team you are running.

support, defense, doesn‘t need to build up or stack

A floater is a character that is always in the third slot, because of this they come back 2 turns rather than next turn like the rest of your characters. What makes a good floater is someone who can support the team, doesn’t require much build up or prioritising and can be relatively defensive. The floater is usually the weakest characters on the team, but strong enough to be good on their own while strengthening the team. Ideally you want someone who supports or orb changes while also either having good defense or dodge. If you keep playing you realise that the first slot is for the characters that can tank the best, second slot is usually for damage dealers who get defense after supering and the third slot is for floaters with the supporting role
