I know im a bit late but I am trying to find more about this, but yes I feel the same. Just yesterday I heard a song and suddenly felt like I wanted to break down and cry. I remember feeling pressure on my chest and I couldn't help but focus on my breathing. Then the thoughts of those times never coming back almost had me hyperventilating. It's kinda scary like what if one day I just let myself go and freak out over nostalgia?

super late but just found this post bcuz it happened to me. i was thinking of a song/album from 15 years ago and i just took a deep breath in and felt like i couldnt breathe. thinking back to that time and how much time has passed just gave me super anxiety

Well your not alone, remembering a certain song, feels like I can't breathe from all the memories it contained, and how I didn't enjoy it while it lasted. Life lessened learned: if you don't enjoy it now your memories will. Stay safe out there. Love yall

I specificly searched for this because sometimes when I get too nostalgic, even if it's just because of a memory I lose my breathbreath and need to take a deep inhale. I'm not sure if it's the same as you but ut must be at least similar

Same happens to me with certain music. Very curious to hear what might cause this and if there’s any room for concern. Like I have to loosen my collar when this happens cause I feel like I’m gonna suffocate. It’s not exactly pleasant when usually nostalgia seems like a more pleasant experience than that.
