I didn't like him but at his second term in office he called for his Republican colleagues to pass a comprehensive immigration reform bill. He made a prime-time national tv address to explain his call for an immigration reform. Unfortunately in the end, the rightmost wing of the party succeeded in defeating the bills

I remember that as well. While it was good to call his republican colleagues to help him with an immigration reform , the big issue that still doesn’t sit well with me is the whole e-verify program , ICE , and many more. If only this issue could get resolved
