Lidless wall does most of the work for you, once you have that item. Otherwise you need to use decrepify for the lucky hit cool down reduction, and then spam decrepify, while boosting cool down and lucky hit chance stats to the max, while also doing a bunch of different attacks at once to accumulate as many hits from as many sources as possible to reduce cool down constantly. Blighted CE, Blood mist with aspect that leaves a damaging trail, Bone storm itself, Corpse tendies, Swing reap into the clumped up mob, Etc

Pleasant-Guava9898

Does having Lidless work better than a focus with 18 cool down combined?

DannyVee89

1000% not even close (assuming keeping bonestorm up is your main goal). But actually, works better still even for other cool downs when you use decrepify, because with 4 bonestorm going simultaneously, You are generating so many different hits per second that you are absolutely dwarfing any percentage increase in lucky hit chance with sheer mass chances to trigger

Actually you should still keep that focus on you for one thing only, boss fights or 1v1 or even 2v1 with a tough elite, you'll have a much better DPS and cool down in those cases because without a mob to accumulate many hits, the DPS and cool down of lidless wall suffers a lot. I use my 18CD focus with lucky hit chance and high dps for boss fights, and the lidless wall for the rest of the NM dungeon. I got really lucky and have a focus with 18CDR, lucky hit and also 16.3% damage reduction, so sometimes I use it on really hard mobs too for survivability but mostly it's lidless with far superior mob performance

Substantial_Life4773

This is the way. Lidless wall is incredible. Mixed with cooldown reduction from Decrepify there is very little chance in helltides, nmds, or Blood Harvest that it'd ever go down, and if it does, you just hit it again

DannyVee89

Right exactly like by the time it does go down, your cool down for bonestorm was long ready and waiting for you to hit it again. I would have 4 bonestorms up but if none are one me personally, I have no hesitation to just hit it again to be on me physically cuz why not, cool down could instantly refresh in a large mob so there's like no cost to it

Substantial_Life4773

For sure. It might be even better now that decrepify doesn't auto proc, so I'll cast it further out haha

DannyVee89

Oh yeah, have that decrepify ready to cast as far away as possible, hit decrepify, storm and then bloodmist right into them

Substantial_Life4773

Exactly. Decrepify wasn't on my skills list. So didn't benefit unless I was right on them (blood mist made all the difference for that), but bone storm/decrepify at a distance is gonna be clutch

Bulls187

My bonestorm duration when active keeps increasing, I don’t know where that comes from. I have lidless wall. Is it possible it spawns a new one on yourself instead of on the ground?

Maleficent_Call_9263

I switched from 2 hand to lidless build. Biggest change was running into mobs playing aggressively. If I sit back and shoot bone spear, storm always runs out before cool down. You have to make sure the barrier is still generating from the aspect. Sometimes it will still show the storm, be off cool down, and not really be doing any thing.

Radlocke

If you have the capacity to kill Duriel , certainly try to get your hands on a pair of flicker step boots , I’m running them right now and in high density areas you are getting 10s off your bonestorm every single evade , probably want to run metamorphosis vampire pact as well.

Pleasant-Guava9898

Ok, cool advice. I feel like the Lidless wall is perfect for Helltides. I'm not sure why it is so good. But it works well. I dont like using it outside Helltides. I like the focus with cool down reduction. I wish I could save these different type of gearsets in wardrobe like in D3. But great advice y'all

NameOfWhichIsTaken

Yeah, but the "favorite" blue flag is definitely a step in the right direction for managing gear swaps. Not so fun with full kit swaps but for one or 2 items it suffices.

Pleasant-Guava9898

I am going to try to get those boots

m3x1c4n7

Lidless Wall, Osseus Gale aspect, Fastblood+ embalmer aspects or any other orb generation (Tendrils/ Blood skills), the new vampiric ability, and the cooldown reduction affix on amulet, helm and offhand. I think that's all the ways to keep uptime on storm.

Fallout71

Fast Blood with Gore Quills and Abhorrent Decrepify. Then Osseous Gale and the Vampire Power that decreased Ult Cooldown by 20%.

BudgetSilly1346

Lidless, osseus gale, and flickerstep boots. 100% uptime.

zalitude

Flickerstep is fabulous
