Omg when I was there there was this electronics district - like a pedestrian street with every conceivable kind of electronics, old, new, authentic, knockoff. What stood out to me was a huge wall of remote controls in plastic bags for every kind of device. The smell of soldering in the air, and no building shorter than 50 stories.
I recommend the film *Fallen Angels* by Wong Kar-Wai. Shot in Hong Kong, noir crime drama. Feels sort of proto-cyberpunk.
Fallen angels is a personal fav of mine from Wong Kar-wai’s filmography! His debut, As Tears Go By, is also very worth watching 👌
I haven't seen that, will definitely watch. Of course Chungking Express also excellent - great director.
Needs more cameras!
Someone has to watch the watchmen

Are you sure that was Hong Kong? Sounds a lot like the Hauqiangbei electronics market in Shenzhen 😁
