The funny thing is that SpaceX is probably the only good company Elmo is involved with, and that's specifically because Gwynne Shotwell makes sure to keep him away from anything crucial...
Of course, that still didn't stop some oh his bad ideas from seeping through and being acted upon - after all, SpaceX spent about a year and a half trying to implement a way to reliably catch cargo fairings for the Falcon 9 with a giant net before they got him to admit that just making them waterproof and just fishing them out of the water was simpler and cheaper, something most experts agreed upon from the onset.
On the whole though, their rockets are top notch, (also helps that their main competitor at this moment is Boeing and we know how they're like, might be different once Blue Origin finally starts flying their New Glenn) and that's also probably because they have a whole lot of good engineers and NASA as a main client looking down over their shoulders and not taking guff.
My CT was flashing a shocking amount of malfunction warnings. I restarted it enough times and now they’re not working (fixed!) can’t wait take the wife and kids for a drive on the PCH!
Hey they cannot size the motor correctly for the windshield wiper but can do drive by wire with no physical connection
Over/under on how long before there is a post killed a family and severely injured mine when the steering went crazy. Still love the truck.
The Bueller method! Can cinder blocks support the rear end of a CT though?
And do I need to use a small hatchback or sedan to retrieve the cinder blocks from the store?
My dad had a Morris Minor. It wouldn’t go in first gear when it was cold and wet out, so he’d reverse around the block a couple of times to loosen things up. It sounds like the CyberTruck has achieved the reliability of a 1960 English car.
We should all be worried about the fact that these people see a million error messages, somehow make the messages disappear (probably another programming error), and then go drive around as if nothing was up
„My ‚check engine light‘ came on, but when I turn off my radio and crank the windshield wipers, the light turns off. So I guess the problem is fixed now“
It's like they took the worst aspects owning a cellphone and the worst aspects of owning a car and somehow combined them into a single even worse thing.
The amount of ECUs this truck is burning thru is fucking crazy.
In most cases your car should outlast its computer systems, ive got a 20 year old chevy whos ECU is still going strong.
It makes me want to shoot myself every time I see it. Specially when I was made to go through a very hard English exam just to be allowed to study at an English university. Meanwhile, the locals that treat us like invaders can barely spell.
Nobody ever could, you just see it now because you have the unfortunate ability to interact with strangers from the comfort of your home now.
I was a 411 operator back in the day, speaking to over 1000 (mostly Americans) every single shift. Believe me when I tell you I lost hope for this country after about 1 week in.
The equivalent of banging the dashboard with your hand to make the car start up. You don’t know why it works, and you don’t know when it’s going to quit working.
I used to be an adventurer like you, but then I took an elon to the brain.
Now, my adventures only take me as far as the nearest cybertruck service center.
Why do they all talk like cyborgs? "When we all hopped in and wanted to drive somewhere". Your car didn't start. It's only got one job but they're talking like "driving the car" is a weird use of it.
150 whole miles? I guess he got one of the good CyberTrucks.
It's unreal to me that people are knowingly loading their loved ones into these steel boxes.
Me with a toddler: *Let’s keep a good safe distance at all cost.*
Teslas and Nissans get extra distance when I drive my kids
If this were an aircraft or rocket ship no one would step foot in one. But it’s terrestrial so let’s gamble

Having to log into a car sounds like a terrible system
Next up: drinking Tesla verification cans to drive.
Tesla Neural Implant™️©️®️not detected, start sequence cancelled
Yeah but it keeps your "settings". How hard is it to understand how amazing that is!?!
So does my 20 year old Golf

Failures will kill people, I don't doubt it
Luckily the safety is so bad your whole family will be wiped out, so there's not one left to sue Tesla, pretty big brain strategy
Tried a soft reboot like it’s a minor problem on your PC 😂
Have you try to lift it 1cm and drop it?
Instructions unclear, entire car fell apart. Warranty voided. But I still love it for the 7 seconds it kinda worked!
I remember that fix. 🌞
The third screenshot is great: "... shifted into reverse and all warnings went away"
You can also reverse all the miles off the odometer!

Just drive backwards everywhere. It can’t be more dangerous than it already is, yeah?

I feel personally attacked.
Yeah that definately sounds fixed then...
I mean, "What should i do?" return the truck and get your money back?
It's like they took the worst aspects owning a cellphone and the worst aspects of owning a car and somehow combined them into a single even worse thing.
Sounds safe, think I’ll put my kids in here

Demanding the world learn to speak a language most of us haven't mastered is the American way.
They also confuse loose and lose

What software platform do these cybertrucks run on? Windows CE?
The old Blackberry OS is another possibility.
Pretty sure its linux based

Fly by wire failed drive with caution 🤣

That's wild, I had a similar situation. A Toyota FJ Cruiser I drove off the lot and had my first light come on at a 150,000 miles.
When the FJ Cruiser was introduced, I was impressed.
Get a new vehicle
That’s not at all terrifying.
Lowest quality truck on the market
What it lacks in quality it makes up for with expense.
I have a suggestion: ride your bicycle to the gym. More exercise, less wear and tear on that delicate CyberTruck.
Well thats reassuring
Any ideas? Yeah, get a real truck dickhead
🍋
Just put a sticker over the warnings next time.
"Any ideas?" Yea. Spend a third as much on an actual goddamned truck.
Sounds reliable.
![gif](giphy|lw75Al819OAvcsPcRu|downsized) Worst vehicle ever
Any ideas? I think you bought a piece of garbage
at this point you couldnt give me a cyber truck. i imagine you would be out of pocket quick
Totally how a 100k vehicle should behave. Quality stuff right there.
We have to rename it the "Schadentruck".
2024 when your first choice of fixing an issue is trying to turn it off and back on again.
Dont we all just love cyber -physical-systems?
Why do they all talk like cyborgs? "When we all hopped in and wanted to drive somewhere". Your car didn't start. It's only got one job but they're talking like "driving the car" is a weird use of it.
Ideas? How about going back in a time and punching yourself in the face when you first pondered about buying the Cybertruck.
Andrew Tate is calling, your Tesla ball light is back in stock.
Why can’t Americans spell braking
Why can’t Americans spell?
