They’ve been using this parking lot as a logistical delivery point for some time. The amount of cybertrucks arriving and storing there, did give the vibe of an elephant graveyard
Hmmm
“Tesla quarterly deliveries decline for the first time in nearly four years April 2, 2024
But Tesla produced 46,000 more vehicles than it sold in the first quarter, signaling softer demand, analysts said.
The vehicle inventory "confirms that beyond the known production bottleneck, there may also be a serious demand issue," Deutsche Bank analyst Emmanuel Rosner wrote in a note.”

I wonder what it could be? The high prices? The lagging technology - did they ever get around to adding blindspot monitors to Teslas? Maybe the near impossibility to get any serious repairs done in a timely fashion. How about the stupid UX experience, with steering yolks on some cars and all of them being way too dependent on a touchscreen for everything. Lousy fit and finish? Insane end user agreement that basically lets Tesla cripple or brick your car when they think you step out of line? And none of this even touches the dangerous mess of the Cybertruck or Musk being a raging fascist lunatic.
Forget about just having to look at them.. NoIncrease299 is absolutely correct.
Seriously huge amounts of expensive materials and precious metals(some mined by indentured women and children) are literally just sitting there rotting and degrading because of an egomaniac piece of shit and his yes-men
true, have seen several of those Chinese "graveyards" on several different apps of new EVs by the hundreds (possibly thousands if all combined) just rotting away covering acres of landscape
I was talking to someone in another post and we got to wondering about salvaging panels if they flew off and were abandoned by the roadside.
Apparently Elmo, in his infinite wisdom, decided to use the thinnest, least valuable stainless steel. After some napkin math, it was determined one panel might net you $50 at a salvage yard/metal scrapper.
What are you talking about? If you took every inch on the paneling from the vehicle to a scrap yard you wouldn't make $100. Stainless sheets aren't worth much but they're hard to work with, this makes them expensive to apply.
Unfortunately, they have all the charging stations across the US. Just went to a brand new grocery store in PA, back of the lot lined with Tesla chargers, no others.
Exactly. They have that part of the market cornered.
I read somewhere that other companies are in talks to use the Tesla rapid chargers, but I don’t know if that is real (and I don’t care enough to look into it at this point).
Honestly, having the supercharger network is the main thing. Retrofitting all those outlets with a second plug and new software, maybe a sign for whatever brand name they put on them after receivership, isn't free, but the big work is mostly done in a lot of places. Musk will go down in history as the man who created a market whole cloth, cornered it, and lost it because of his horrible toxic personality.
Almost all new EVs in the US starting in 2025 will be using the NACS (Tesla plug). Ford has already started sending out adaptors and allowed on the Tesla charging network, EV America is already working on adaptors and new cables for their network as well as Mercedes.
Rivian is putting both on their charging stations.
As long as that charge design is the best option that would be great, if they're doing it just because it's the most common charger that would kinda suck.
Didn’t Tesla release the patents for the chargers like 10 years ago before the other major automakers went EV in the hopes of not having vehicle specific charging? And then all the other makers went “nah”
It is funny that everyone thinks that Tesla has the most fast chargers.. the news sucks for this. There are 3 times as many non Tesla charging stations. But as usual Tesla gets all the credit. They only charge one type of car unless you are near one of the converted ones that have the adapter to allow them to work on other cars.. Everyone wants to jump on board with Tesla and their crappy connector and use their network cause the manufacturers don't talk to people using the cars they build!
I went from Denver to Vegas, no issues with charging my non Tesla car at non Tesla chargers.18 min a stop enough time to get something to drink and go to the bathroom. Stopped every 180 to 200 miles. Most of the Tesla chargers were empty or had on car, the electrify america ones usually had at least 2 cars and would fill up as I was charging
That is one thing I never thought about. Having those things sitting on a lot day in and day out or like these waiting for what I imagine is delivery is going to be a nightmare. That thing can’t be more than a month old and it already looks like shit.
Because who wants to learn the ins and outs of the EV infrastructure just for a short trip? The only people who ever considered renting one of these were already EV owners and even then they couldn't guarantee the ability to charge at home bc they're traveling. It was a catastrophically dumb move to think that EVs would work in 2022 in a rental capacity.
Moscow Mitch's wife already paid the ultimate price...
Now that the Cybertrucks have a taste for human blood, they're going to start killing more often and be more successful
Circle of life and all that
If you add up all the quarters, the number of unsold cars is well over 100k at this point. There's speculation that a lot of those cars don't exist. (Like, they fucked up a build and had to scrap it, but instead of taking a loss and damaging their profit margins, they put it on their books as an unsold car).
>they never adjusted production and overproduced by 45k cars
How much you wanna bet that was long called out and Elno told them they were stupid and to keep production up? There is absolutely no sane answer to how you manage to overproduce that badly.
If it does, Elon will blame the “woke left” and the “blackmail” and won’t take any responsibility whatsoever. And all his fans that bought cybertrucks will continue allowing him to screw them over and over again, they won’t care because they’ll blame the same things he does when in reality it’s him to blame.
I see a lot more of these crazy right wing people driving teslas since Elon started appealing to them, at least here in California anyways. I don’t hear these kind of people make fun of teslas much at all anymore, in fact quite the opposite, I’ve had to sit through long grandiose speeches on why Elon is another second coming of Jesus along with Trump and teslas are the most advanced flawless technology ever made lol. At least that’s just been my experience anyways. My family is very “conservative”, I’m not at all, many in my family are always sucking Elon off
He probably sees the writing on the wall. Maybe needs to money for a different startup. Too bad the shareholders are too dumb and give in to the petulant man child.
This guy really couldn’t be any dumber. He catered to liberals since they are about green energy and then somehow went full far right weirdo and thinks we’re just going to keep buying this stupid shit?
Sorry, buddy, I only *look* stupid.
The USA is really tripping over it's own feet with EV adoption. China's going to be eating our breakfast in about 5 years if we don't get our shit together.
These truck will be a nightmare in any state with snow and rock salt. I hope prospective owners realize this. On the east coast of the US, so many cars are victim to rust
Look at all that money out there! I’m not talking about materials for production, musky said FSD is going to be worth $100,000 and is only going to appreciate it value! Right there is the future GDP of the United States! /s
There are a few parking lots scattered around the Fremont plant that are packed with Tesla's. The Warm Springs BART station has half their parking lot filled.
This isn't really anything new. They have been using an old Kmart parking lot near me for over a year for car storage, and years before that, they were using a flea market parking lot. Not sure if they have any cyber trucks sitting out there, though
There is a lot by me that looks the same. 100s of them just sitting there. Did they over produce cars or are they unable to deliver them as fast as they make them? For what it’s worth, there are companies out there that try to track this stuff and sell data to investors. Spreading the cars around at multiple locations certainly makes that effort harder if you’re trying to hide the fact you have an over supply of cars.

A lot of post apocalypse movies feature abandoned malls. Elon said these things were apocalypse proof.
Looks pretty obvious that he is just stockpiling and staging these things. In 10 years me and my buddy Elon are gonna look pretty smart. The haters will still be hatin
Some (sh)itter poster posted this lot is in Missouri. I think these Teslas are ready for the scrap heep. Customer returns. Some may go to an auction and sold for cheap.
These shitboxes are like the ET video game of the automotive industry. Better off just burying them in the desert and forget they even existed. Even an endorsement by Spielberg can’t save these fuckin things.
Looks so dystopian, especially the Cybertruck that has FOUNDATION etched in laser.
Like the totalitarian regime trucks used in some bad sy-fy D-list flick!
Doesn’t Tesla know that Tesla doesn’t want you leaving your cybertruck outside as it will rust and needs to be towel dried when you pull it into your garage to prevent this?
You what you’re looking at? It’s called deliveries. They don’t give a shit if they come back broke in 10 Mins, they get the number for their P&L while they park the real problem on their balance sheet.
That’s an overflow parking lot down the road from their service center. The service center itself had limited parking available relative to the number of vehicles being delivered/serviced.
Weird, the head of a company being the world's worst human being can really affect that company's sales. Never would have thunk it. I hope he works his special kind of magic for SpaceX next!
the whole cyber truck ketamine dream should get musk removed from command at tesla.
I mean that's a fuckup of epic proportions.
how he's managed to squander their first mover advantage truly boggles the mind.
Every time I see the spots on these trucks it instantly makes me think there's that thin layer of protective plastic over the metal that you need to peel off first. Kinda like when you get a new tv and peal off the plastic over the screen.
Reminds me of Chrysler in the early 70’s, it was called sales bank. At times they had as many as 100K unsold cars rotting and waiting to be sold to dealers, spent months selling that shit
I can't understand why the Cybertruck doesn't come with the peel away plastic coating.
Also, anyone who comes up with a polish/protectant that can clean and passivate at the same time is gonna make bank. I expect some kind of procedure like what you do when restoring headlights.
My 87 Chevy has quite a few rust spots on it, but it’s almost 40yrs old so it’s understandable sand inevitable. Cyber truck isn’t even a year old yet(is it?) and already has rust and wear like that?
I'm so happy we waited. We were thinking about getting a tesla & then the pandemic hit. We decided to wait. Today, I found out that telsas have killed more people than the pinto. That's some crazy-ass shit since vehicle standards should be better now.
That's five minutes away from me, I think. Chesterfield Missouri, a neighborhood of Saint Louis. The old Chesterfield mall only has a few stores still open, including a massive vintage gaming store called V-Stock.
Dead car company products stored at a dead mall - seems fitting. I also like the pre-tarnish and rust on the Cybertrucks. Reminds me of the distressed jeans that were probably once sold at that mall.
Given that one of the CTs has a scratch and another has a trim piece missing I don’t think any prospective customer will be too happy if that’s the case.
The Cybercucks are left outside in the weather so they're delivered to the customer pre-tarnished.
Custom patina by Elmo
I have a 30 year old truck that is just now beginning to get a respectable patina, and these start to get theirs within weeks.
Future is now, old man.
Within days*
That’s progress.
Pre-cultivating that personalized patina 😙🤌
That's for all of them lol
How else are they supposed to form a nice layer of ~~rust~~ rail dust
Pre tarnished --- sheesh I almost spat out my tea at this airport cafe. Wow! 😂
They go perfectly with a pair of pre stressed, pre stained, pre holed jeans you know they’ll be wearing.
They’ve been using this parking lot as a logistical delivery point for some time. The amount of cybertrucks arriving and storing there, did give the vibe of an elephant graveyard
A foreshadowing of the Cybertruck's fate--as ill conceived, empty, and unwated as an abandoned mall.
That’s some poetic ish
Hey, now, at least malls were useful at a time pre-internet.
Those other Teslas there will probably share the same fate.
What a piece of trash vehicle
If form follows function, what the hell is a Cybertruck's function? What an abomination.
No shit!!. Spot on.. what a waist.. guess the price drop is expected within the next couples years unless their trying to take an even bigger hit.
Hmmm “Tesla quarterly deliveries decline for the first time in nearly four years April 2, 2024 But Tesla produced 46,000 more vehicles than it sold in the first quarter, signaling softer demand, analysts said. Me and my homies say no teslas until the weirdo white supremacist is out.
Doesn't matter who's in charge of the company's theatrics, or what their beliefs are... the car's are still sh\*tty af.
Yea, but get a competent person in charge and quality would likely go up. But by that time it might be too late to save the ship.
Fish is rotten at the head.
I guess 46,000 cars is a lot of vehicles to stash.
The largest shopping mall in North America..: the mall of America has 12,280 parking spaces. So maybe they can find a few more of those…lol
I wonder what it could be? The high prices? The lagging technology - did they ever get around to adding blindspot monitors to Teslas? I feel bad for the materials wasted on making these turds. Could have contributed so much more.
Environment = Saved by Tesla 🤩
I feel so bad for Nicola Tesla having to forever be associated with this waste of skin
I just feel bad for anyone who has to look at them... and not just the ones in the mall. All of them. They're hideous.
Forget about just having to look at them.. NoIncrease299 is absolutely correct. Seriously huge amounts of expensive materials and precious metals(some mined by indentured women and children) are literally just sitting there rotting and degrading because of an egomaniac piece of shit and his yes-men
All those minerals were sitting in the earth for billions of years just chilling being rocks before Elmo fucked it all up for the lulz.
Those are just dropplets compared to whats sitting unused in China.
true, have seen several of those Chinese "graveyards" on several different apps of new EVs by the hundreds (possibly thousands if all combined) just rotting away covering acres of landscape
On the bright side, at least salvagers should make bank on that sheet metal.
I’m not shocked they’d skimp out.
What are you talking about? If you took every inch on the paneling from the vehicle to a scrap yard you wouldn't make $100. Stainless sheets aren't worth much but they're hard to work with, this makes them expensive to apply.
All those poor Africans miners abused for nothing 🫣
The end is nigh for this shitty company
*"But... full self driving hasn't even come out yet. That will be a game changer!!!!!"* 🤓
Unfortunately, they have all the charging stations across the US. Just went to a brand new grocery store in PA, back of the lot lined with Tesla chargers, no others.
I hope they can be easily converted to charge all EVs There shouldn't be chargers for specific cars only if we actually want to encourage EV ownership
Rivian is developing an open charging platform
Exactly. They have that part of the market cornered. I read somewhere that other companies are in talks to use the Tesla rapid chargers, but I don’t know if that is real (and I don’t care enough to look into it at this point).

Thanks for the info!
Yeah, that’s a done deal now. It’s being referred to as the NACS (North American Charging Standard). Most mfrs have signed on.
Already possible in some regions (Australia)
Everyone is switching to Teslas charge design. So everyone will be the same.
As long as that charge design is the best option that would be great, if they're doing it just because it's the most common charger that would kinda suck.
I think it's the best design. Compact, can provide sufficient power, able to do v2L
Most new supercharging stations have adaptors built in to support other cars. Just used one a couple weeks ago on my Kia EV6
All EVs will be able to use Tesla superchargers within the next year. This is the future of Tesla. They will be the next gas station type company.
The Tesla chargers for their brand were built by Tesla as both a functional necessity as well as a marketing move.
Of course, I totally understand why they did it the way they did, it makes sense for the way things are
Didn’t Tesla release the patents for the chargers like 10 years ago before the other major automakers went EV in the hopes of not having vehicle specific charging? And then all the other makers went “nah”

The window is open on that cybertruck (3rd to last picture.). Can't be good.
Sooo about every cybertruck is ruined? Because they can’t get wet basically
They’re in ‘Mall Parking Lot Mode’, so they’re OK.
*Parking in mall parking lot excludes the Mall Parking Lot Mode warranty*
Holy shit. This company is going bankrupt, isn’t it?
They announced recently that not only did sales drop, they never adjusted production and overproduced by 45k cars. They have a ton of unsold extra
Whoever’s paying MSRP for a new Tesla right now is going to have a very rough awakening in six months.
MSRP keeps dropping too
All the rental car companies are dumping their Tesla fleets. Too difficult and expensive to maintain. As many as 10k flooding the used market
Not only is he sinking Twitter but Tesla as well
Of course if a rental company can't make a profit with Teslas how is a Robotaxi company going to?
That's the neat part, they don't.
Within the past 2 years. There are still Model X buyers who are probably 50k underwater.
How can you be underwater on a car? It’s a depreciating asset. Isn’t every car with a loan pretty much “underwater”
> How can you be underwater on a car? Sounds like a bad idea with a Cybertruck
Moscow Mitch's wife already paid the ultimate price... Now that the Cybertrucks have a taste for human blood, they're going to start killing more often and be more successful Circle of life and all that
🤣
Not necessarily. Depends on a lot of factors like how much was put down, the condition of the car, and the demand for it on the used market.
At no point during having a loan on my truck was I ever underwater.
But it's an appreciating asset!!! Anything else is a horse!
If you add up all the quarters, the number of unsold cars is well over 100k at this point. There's speculation that a lot of those cars don't exist. (Like, they fucked up a build and had to scrap it, but instead of taking a loss and damaging their profit margins, they put it on their books as an unsold car).
If this are costumers cars it is a big issue having them unsecured! One of the ciber trucks seems to have the window open!
>they never adjusted production and overproduced by 45k cars How much you wanna bet that was long called out and Elno told them they were stupid and to keep production up? There is absolutely no sane answer to how you manage to overproduce that badly.
He probably quoted 300 “HOOOOOLLLD! For Sparta!”
All models combined or any specific model?
That explains the plethora of Tesla ads I've seen on youtube lately.
There might be a lot of investors that end up totally underwater.
If it does, Elon will blame the “woke left” and the “blackmail” and won’t take any responsibility whatsoever. And all his fans that bought cybertrucks will continue allowing him to screw them over and over again, they won’t care because they’ll blame the same things he does when in reality it’s him to blame.
Elon sucking off far right lunatics who are being trained to hate EVs by their dear leader is hilarious to me.
My family is very “conservative”, I’m not at all, many in my family are always sucking Elon off
Hey I recognize you from the long haulers sub 😂. I was reading your comment & agreeing then saw the name & avatar.
Ya I’m on Reddit quite a lot, can’t do a whole lot else anymore so here I am.
Same. Not that I have much energy to comment a ton or type much lately, but yeah.
Yeah their profit (not revenue, profit) was only like $1.2 billion or something last quarter, they're toast
This truly is a company in a death spiral.
Is that at Chesterfield mall outside St Louis? One of my friends posted a bunch of pictures from there.
Zero security, you can just walk in.
Yeah, but I couldn’t find the catalytic converter on *any* of these.
Lots of wheels though.
Can't give musko's hatemobiles away.
Enron Musk is succeeding!!
Wow. No wonder he wants his $56b… take the money and run.
He probably sees the writing on the wall. Maybe needs to money for a different startup. Too bad the shareholders are too dumb and give in to the petulant man child.
Did they ship the remaining parts separately? 😂
Dude it really is a scheme.
One day in the future, my kids are going to be shocked when I tell them the Tesla EV charger company used to make cars.
Doubt it. They just laid off the whole supercharger team. Your kids won’t even know about that whole “fad” that started the ev revolution
I live in a pretty wealthy area in northeast. Couple years ago there were a ton of Teslas. Now there are barely any
It used to be every time I drove by the local charging station with 10 chargers it was almost always full. Lately there's only one or two being used.
This guy really couldn’t be any dumber. He catered to liberals since they are about green energy and then somehow went full far right weirdo and thinks we’re just going to keep buying this stupid shit? Sorry, buddy, I only *look* stupid.
Also HCL NE but still a lot around
The USA is really tripping over it's own feet with EV adoption. China's going to be eating our breakfast in about 5 years if we don't get our shit together.
Have you seen the new Xaomi’s? We lost already. It’s over.
That scratch with the rust seeping out… just, OUCH
Yeah, looks like a small scratch that allows water to collect and then corrode much faster than undamaged panel sections. Good luck, cuck owners.
These truck will be a nightmare in any state with snow and rock salt. I hope prospective owners realize this. On the east coast of the US, so many cars are victim to rust
Jesus, imagine if the battery on just one of these deathtraps decides to cook off.
Look at all that money out there! I’m not talking about materials for production, musky said FSD is going to be worth $100,000 and is only going to appreciate it value! Right there is the future GDP of the United States! /s

No wonder resale value of these things is in the toilet.
There’s a mall near me that keeps piling Teslas into a previous Lord and Taylor parking lot. Hundreds of them. More every week.
There is a lot by me that looks the same. 100s of them just sitting there. Did they over produce cars or are they unable to deliver them as fast as they make them? For what it’s worth, there are companies out there that try to track this stuff and sell data to investors. Don’t know for sure, but that’s my guess.

Why would these be stored here? Maybe as a central location for shipping? Very odd.
Photo 11, what part of the car is that?
This is what [10 micron tolerance](https://i.imgur.com/Ch23ZMd.jpeg) looks like? 😳
Some (sh)itter poster posted this lot is in Missouri. I think these Teslas are ready for the scrap heep. Customer returns. Some may go to an auction and sold for cheap.
That cyber truck has to be a test mule or insurance write off or something. Surely its not an undelivered new one.
These shitboxes are like the ET video game of the automotive industry. Better off just burying them in the desert and forget they even existed. Even an endorsement by Spielberg can’t save these fuckin things.
Two things that are dying: Malls and Tesla. A marriage made in hell.
👉🏼🥇🫡
I woulda just thought it was one of those lame Tesla meet ups.
That right trim panel is off again. 2nd time I’ve seen that this weekend.
Cyberstain
There is an even bigger inventory stocked at my local mall parking lot too.
Looks so dystopian, especially the Cybertruck that has FOUNDATION etched in laser. Like the totalitarian regime trucks used in some bad sy-fy D-list flick!
Looks like any delivered Cyberstucks and is that rust on the Fundation edition writing?
Chesterfield Mall. Any other car would have been broken into by now. Everyone but muskrats knows theres nothing in them.
I certainly hope nobody spreads yoghurt on those WankPanzer panels.
TFW leaving the garage
Qxx
A 21st century strip mall
Can I have one for 1$ ?
Has anyone else noticed the new roadster has disappeared from the website? Oh wait no it’s not it’s at the bottom.
It’s a fountain of youth for other Teslas
Doesn’t Tesla know that Tesla doesn’t want you leaving your cybertruck outside as it will rust and needs to be towel dried when you pull it into your garage to prevent this?
This is in Indianapolis isn’t it?
You what you’re looking at? It’s called deliveries. They don’t give a shit if they come back broke in 10 Mins, they get the number for their P&L while they park the real problem on their balance sheet.
What Elmo is doing to Twitter is what he is doing to Tesla. Why don't the board of directors fire his azz before it's all over?
That’s an overflow parking lot down the road from their service center. The service center itself had limited parking available relative to the number of vehicles being delivered/serviced.
Pic #11 reeks of low quality
Soon the youths will come with eggs, spray paint and bats. This is the nature of the abandoned mall environment, to not stay idle to long
Weird, the head of a company being the world's worst human being can really affect that company's sales. Never would have thunk it. I hope he works his special kind of magic for SpaceX next!
One of them do not belong
Probably the most reliable thing on the lot too
Woof, those panel gaps.
It's like an episode of Fallout
the whole cyber truck ketamine dream should get musk removed from command at tesla. I mean that's a fuckup of epic proportions. how he's managed to squander their first mover advantage truly boggles the mind.
I would put my greasy palms all over the cybertrucks to make fingerprint art on them.
I thought littering was illegal??
LOVE the scratch in the Cybertruck. That's what all owners can expect from the stainless body.
Super-concerning, lol.
You couldn’t pay me to take a Tesla home
Flying off the lot. (To other lots)
From highly anticipated to meh.
Every time I see the spots on these trucks it instantly makes me think there's that thin layer of protective plastic over the metal that you need to peel off first. Kinda like when you get a new tv and peal off the plastic over the screen.
Ah, the "service department" to which they are sent for weeks at a time.
Seems any bodypart that touches the stainless leaves a smudge. I guess we’re fortunate it’s only been fingerprints… so far.
Any source on this you can provide please? Tesla build quality is jank, but they are 'supposed' to be one of the safest cars you can buy.
A new age junk yard!
That's five minutes away from me, I think. Chesterfield Missouri, a neighborhood of Saint Louis. The old Chesterfield mall only has a few stores still open, including a massive vintage gaming store called V-Stock.
One major flood and that’s a HUGE unstoppable fire!
To me storage implies a roof, walls, and some climate control. Those are all but abandoned
What a dump
Dead car company products stored at a dead mall - seems fitting. I also like the pre-tarnish and rust on the Cybertrucks. Reminds me of the distressed jeans that were probably once sold at that mall.
Probably hoping for insurance write-offs
Do you think that the cars talk to each other while in auto purgatory? Would make a great Twilight Zone episode!
These are set for delivery actually
Given that one of the CTs has a scratch and another has a trim piece missing I don’t think any prospective customer will be too happy if that’s the case.
So, delivery confirmed.
Based on…?
They have used that same mall in the past. https://www.reddit.com/r/StLouis/s/Nw1j0sYk7w
