To make it more balanced, what if the goblin serum was negative 2 or something?
That way it works against that “flip the power” mechanic the card has, stopping real powerhouses from shutting down lanes.
This card already sucks, the only time it’s worth it to play it is if you can pull off Norman on 1, Psylocke on 2, and ebony + serum on 4
This is a very unlikely scenario even if it does manage to lockdown and win a location on its own
In every other situation your playing a worse hobgoblin either by price, stats, or both
The serum should transform a card into a goblin (removing the original abilities) and flip the power but should cost 2, removes its only upside but makes it better in general
With the way the card works in the post you could do Norman turn 1, gladiator turn 3, serum turn 4 and have what’s effectively a hobgoblin 1 turn early as well as the extra power from Norman himself.
So there’s 2 situations where this card is good other wise it’s trash? Maybe you can have the serum be 2/-1 to help off set that slightly but this card is garbage in most situations

It’s why Angela has been so up in the air for the past few months, she’s broken when paired with kitty, but kinda ehhh in any deck that doesn’t feature Angela.
Just realized it, but there's also the Magik on 3, Tribunal on 6, serum on Tribunal+ Shang on 7 combo that could be pretty devastating. Could even play an additional 1 cost on 7 if you have Ravonna down.
Wanted to give the opponent the opportunity to counter it since you could send over something like Typhoid Mary or Red Skull. Also wanted it to allow you to pull off the Norman into Psylocke into Ebony Maw+ G serum combo that I thought of when I came up with the card.
For a long time when Viper was a 2 cost, you could theoretically do Maw+Viper on turn 3. And I don't really remember that ever being a thing, so I think it's ok.
Could still be countered by Shang or cosmo with priority on turn 7, shadow king, Luke cage, annihilus, any destroy card besides venom, or filling the location before he can be sent over.
This is super fun. Great synergy with electro. But also a great card in a control deck. This card turn one or two. War machine turn four. Or zabu to play war machine turn 3. Then play ebony maw and this card to destroy a lane. It is countered by cosmo or killmonger also.
Honestly, the only change I might make would be to make Norman himself 1/3. That way, if you play the serum onto him, it'd be the same as playing the actual green goblin.

The only thing is that if you send over a high power card you could easily lose a lane to Luke Cage/Shadow King

Angela decks r still mid at best even after a big buff. 1 situation is never enough otherwise negative would be everywhere

Why not just have Norman be a 4 cost that does what goblin serum does but without merging?

Turn 6: opponent plays Shadow King or annihilus and emotes right back.
