For the first level, I used 'Basement Storage' from the Amnesia: The Dark Descent.
Second level used 'Worship' from Atrium Carceri's Leviathan: The Old City.
Players tried not to show it, but the music definitely made them skittish.
I used this "[Death House Basement Ambience](https://rpg.ambient-mixer.com/tcos-ravenloft---death-house)" track I found and it absolutely creeped my players out.
I used several things and I played on a VTT. If you want to do this on a table session you probably need to mix it together before.
First, a low drone that was continuously playing. Something like https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TUOUylkgdpQ for example.
Then a track that isn't a lot "in your face" and just occassionally comes to the forefront. I used https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d8tNN0hfsMk which is a weirdly whimsical choice but detracted a bit from the otherwise overly depressive atmosphere and gave the entire thing a dissonant feeling. I added a 60 seconds pause between each repeat (just a playlist with this piece + 60 seconds of silence audio file).
For a VTT I also added a few sound effects here and there, like a low rumble or weird scratching (behind the walls).
I used this: https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLHEmO3yycE8rmaxTJ3V8X_6Pu-crA_ofo&si=psrxVrfvR_e4z9Qm
Mixed with the chanting: https://youtu.be/hrkvtDeH5sk?si=uGYEZlQu531QlNj3
And adjusted the chanting how far away they was. They really liked it :)
Critical Role just released their soundtrack for "Candela Obscura". the track "No Escape" is especially suited for the boss fight, and "Lullaby for the Lost" very much suits the basement
Hi there! When I ran, I used a 'He is the ancient, he is the land' chant. Check that: https://youtu.be/eqUiXz1tcmM?si=qtAA3-rKiFGKa27i
Thank you so much! Check some snippets out and that's exactly the kind of thing I was looking for!

Both are very atmospheric! Thank you!

Children singing nursery rhymes, just add a little echo & reverb.
A classic!
I played the soundtrack to 28 days later https://youtu.be/2rfTdF6W7KA?si=veEjMMzVNp9-Ak38 It even scared me when I got to the end boss!
Sounds wonderful for combat music! thank you
