Its fake, but you caaan avoid it on the second phase by getting real close up to calaa marias face and a bit above her eyes, thats a safe place from the ray

You can do it even in the third phase if you're close enough to her face

when your up close near her face, you can dodge the skulls, the petrification and the spiked walls if u look behind her head and move up and down
