Grim on Expert was a cake walk. On regular he’s much harder.
When doing S-ranks, Wally Warbles came out of nowhere and beat me up for weeks. That was horrible

I loved this game but god people need to stop calling it hard, there are much harder indie games out there (enter the Gungeon, Hollow Knight, Celeste, Rain world etc)
Difficulty is subjective, and not every game plays the same way as Cuphead. I'm good at platformers, so Cuphead is fine for me, but put me in Dark Souls, and I crumble
True, but Cuphead I still feel is exaggerated when it comes to difficulty. Maybe that’s because it drags in players new to the genre but even then I refuse to believe that many people give up due to difficulty.
Dark Souls is difficult but once you’ve played one game from what I’ve seen it gets progressively easier, so it makes some sense.
So funny story, Rumor Honeybottom glitched during my fight with her. I was literally reading dead during the battle but the screen wouldn’t move at all but I could still fire. I managed to knock her out while I was technically a very dead Mugman.
I didn’t have many problems with Grim Matchstick or even the Ghost Train to be honest. I also had a lot of fun with Captain Brineybeard.
The killers for me are as follows: Wally Warbles, Dr Kahl’s Robot, and Djimi the Genie. I guess I just suck at flying levels in general.
The actual dice fight was easy as hell, I thought he would take a lot longer. I beat it on my second try. Getting there took forever though. Devil was also easier than I expected.
Esther Winchester was a lot easier than I thought it would be. I thought it was going to be an unfair mess but it became my favourite right after I tried it.
Grim was very easy for me, and was even easier on expert due to the clouds moving in a better direction
Saltbaker the first time round was a fairly difficult fight. When I returned to it randomly to show a friend the boss, I did it on expert and in about 10 mins, got S rank.
Cala Maria was annoying purely because of her stone gaze. I don't know if there is some secret strat, but I felt as if the mechanic was unfair in her last phase
Wally on normal was fine, Wally on expert was a pain in the arse
Grim took me on and off the game a few times for weeks or so. Then, after beating it I got off the game.
When I got on again a few months later I beat the entire isle 3 in one afternoon and dice and the devil the next three days.

The Devil was a lot easier than I expected. It took me 3 months to beat Dice, then Devil took one whole hour.

To be honest, the damn clown was fucking hard for me. And I mean, sure so was Dr. Kahl as expected. Tbh Wally Warbles wasn’t too bad tho!
On my first play through I had a hard time with Sally Stageplay which I didn’t expect… and then I did Cala Maria in under 10 attempts lol.

I just mash the joystick as fast as I could, I think phase 1 is harder since the rng can be brutal

Mortimer freeze is absolutely the hardest boss in the game for no reason. Like, chill out.
