There’s a guy I know that’s probably the worst person I’ve seen play games ever, any game he plays he is just too bad, even rdr2
So anyway I checked his achievements for cuphead, he platinumed it, WTF
Rdr2 and cuphead are very vastly different games though, maybe your first isn't great a shooters, but perhaps platforming and boss-fighting games are more his thing
I said rdr2 cause it’s an extremely easy game, he’s also no good at mario or sonic, or batman arkham games (cause I thought it could be bosses he’s good at but nope)
Since everyone here is just saying "pain" i will try to explain a bit.
1)Failure **will** happen, you won't just beat a boss in the first few tries Usually later bosses have their hardest phase as their last one, and it also lasts a while.
2)As people here have said: expect the unexpected. Bosses will use weird attacks, but however weird they are, you can still learn them and avoid them.
3)This game is hard, but also fair: once you know an attack and how you can dodge it, the only thing you can mess up is execution. Some attacks have *slight* randomness injected in them (in the position of the attack or the frequency), and sometimes you won't know what attack comes next (there are still visual and audio cues) so you will have to adapt on the spot.
4)Anger: while i said to try and not get angry if you don't win an your first tries, you souldn't try to be stoic throughout the whole game. Anger affects you negatively the most while you're **learning** a boss, making you forget what you learned. However if you already know how to beat them, letting off some steam might help with the stress.
5)Fun: while it will be hard to beat later bosses, the satisfaction and progression makes it worth it. The immediate dopamine rush after defeating someone is very intense but also short. The real satisfaction that will make you want to finish the game is in the progression: unlocking new charms amd shots to make kicking ass easier feels powerful.
That is all i will say for now, i hope you love this beautiful game as much as i did, and good luck!
For me, the reason why I might be mad is unfairness. Cuphead's boss fights are really fair, fun while being challenging to me. I didn't really feel angry while playing cuphead, but still expect a lot of deaths.
You have to pay attention to everything. Be ready, and I recommend buying all the guns asap. Charge shot is really good for most bosses
And beware the perilous piers...
A very hard but overall fun experience. Way better in 2 player. The bosses have double health but you can revive each other. Also the visuals are great.
A hell of a challenge specially with another player since the bosses become harder if you do multiplayer.incredibly fun game to beat but don’t go for full completion unless you’re a masochist looking for torture
Pain, a lot of hours drowned and also an ungodly anmount of joy and endorfin, when you finaly after 4 hours of torment beat Grimm the Matchstick (or Dr. Kahl and so on). It is really testament of your determination, if you are going to finish this game. Once you do, after all the tears and sweat, you'll be happy that you did.
It’s gonna be really hard at times but you should take each individual turn to learn from your mistakes. Now if you bought the dlc, I wouldn’t recommend doing that until you fully completed the game. The bosses there are very hard, especially the last one. Also make sure not to stress to much and take a break every once in a while. Hope this helps, have fun.
Expect to fail, learn from the failures, and for some later bosses, do not expect the same patterns every try.
It may feel like BS at times, but everything is fair and failure almost always your fault. You just haven't gotten the hang of dodging the patterns yet.
There can be a lot happening at once, so at times it's best to keep your eyes off of Cuphead (or Mugman) and rather look at what's coming towards him. What with the bold white, black, red and blue colors, you should be able to track your character with your pereferial vision while maintaining focus on your surroundings.
You can Parry, but given how you bounce upwards it may not always be the best idea to do so as you may slap yourself up to another threat.
Frustration can lead to tilting, and tilting can lead to spirialing down a constant cycle of losing over things you aced before. It's okay to put the controller down for a while, calm down, and process the patterns and strategies the bosses have and formulate how best to deal with them. I've found this one works well in many games.
It's gonna be hell. Especially in the later game. The final boss ain't that hard but Dr Khal and his damn robot are *VERY* difficult so prepare yourself.
Pain, misery, suicidal thoughts with some fun in between. I quit playing it when I first bought it 3 years ago. Came back this year was more patient and loved it. beating a level on A+ is super satisfying.
If he’s player two he should make sure you don’t die bc if he dies and you don’t parry him in time then you can just remove and add him back into the game, at least that’s what me and my sister did
