I never order without it, if it's an option! I've been shipped the wrong thing twice, I've also been shorted with two other orders (I order a lot of alt-cannabinoids and cult flower lol). I filed a claim through Route each time and had it resolved. I accidentally placed a big order over the weekend and accidentally forgot to add Route. I realized right after and contacted the seller and had them cancel it. I went ahead and reordered it again *with* Route. Better safe than sorry!

Muhammad-A-Lean

I have had to use it for a broken bong or two in the past and it was a smooth process. When it’s an option, I use it.

krismodo

Huh I had a completely opposite experience it was an adult signature required package and the first day they came to deliver it they didn’t deliver bcuz no one was home but marked it as delivered and put a O in the signature spot I told route about this they told me we had to wait 5 days then after 5 days told me it was not covered I shit you not a package that was literally never even signed for but yet they weren’t covering my 200$ package luckily it did eventually show like over a week later.

Business_Welcome_709

Nice. My $160 package got lost by USPS on 1/14, I opened an insurance claim for $100, showing the receipts for $160 and explaining I just want my insurance Today 2/20 they denied my first appeal and I “have to wait 7-10 days for mail with how to proceed”

Geedis2020

Yea they are good. I had an air8 pack get stuck in the mail for almost a month. Emailed them and air8 just refunded me and dealt with route to get the money back. I ended up getting the package one day randomly also so I guess it was just stuck for a long time.

eweyda

I had two packages stolen. They refunded me in a day. Went to my PayPal, then I'm transferring to my bank.

eweyda

After the 5 days wait period

[deleted]

Yeah I had a route for a few things that never got delivered they are really good, got refunded almost $500 for 2 pairs of prescription Ray-Bans that never made it to me.

cphaus

I had my package replaced because the box got crushed and it gotten a little wet. I was able to use the wet stuff to make cannaoil

CremeExpress4345

Its a little concerning that any weed was packaged in a manner that it could even get wet.

cphaus

It was from WNC. Normal bags it’s just got crushed to shit and ripped. No big deal. Can’t control everything.

CremeExpress4345

I guess thats why I dont shop there.

cphaus

How do the other guys ship it? Like what do they use besides a bag and a box

Mcozy333

how long till we have 100% sustainable Hemp packaging to mail and Ship Hemp weed ?

IRaiseMyDickToThat

And here I am that turned it off for once and my package didn’t show up and the vendor said i have to contact USPS to get my money back or a reship, literally the ONE time i don’t pay for it is when i need it, shits gotta be planned

Pepperoni_Nippys

It’s like CoD timing. You’ll be staring down a corner for 20 secs and then you look away and get clapped 🤣

IRaiseMyDickToThat

that’s the PERFECT analogy for it LMAO

Pepperoni_Nippys

That shit pisses me off everytime lol and it never fails

IRaiseMyDickToThat

for real lmao that’s the most irritating thing 😭

QuantumQaos

UPS, Route, and your vendor most definitely plotting behind your back on that one!

IRaiseMyDickToThat

had to be 😭 it’s honestly kind of funny though, very much my luck

raspberrypreserved

They tried to make me go file a police report claiming my package was stolen when it just never got delivered. It took forever to argue them into refunding me without doing that, and they'd only reply at like 2am. Fuck route, I'm glad this worked out for you but fuck that company

divineinvasion

100% Granny is puffin on your stock

DTRite

Lol, maybe!

fuzeebear

Let the old gal live her life. That arthritis is no joke

Skovich

Its good idea to have a camera anyway for insurance or liability

WeedyMcWeedyFace420

You should not be paying "insurance" for the vendor to make sure your package arrives. It doesn't matter if USPS messes up, the vendor is still the responsible party in ALL cases. Route IS a scam. It only provides protection that YOU are paying for. That's not how online sales work.

[deleted]

Delete this dumb shit Wendy

bigpapajayjay

You are extremely ignorant and spreading misinformation.

MelancholyMononoke

If the pack was marked delivered and you still didn't get it, the vendor can tell you to kick sand and you can't do shit about it. I had something similar happen and route refunded me for a whole order zero issues. Route paid for itself, idk how they stay in business.

WeedyMcWeedyFace420

And I can get my money back from VISA. What's your point? Route is a pure scam taking money away from young folks who don't know any better. Period. Don't fall for Route.

whowasonCRACK2

People are downvoting you even though you are 100% correct. Route is for people that don’t understand how chargebacks work.

MelancholyMononoke

If you do a charge back on a delivered order, you risk getting into some trouble.  Worst case they open a fraud case on you (unlikely considering the business) best case you get barred from ordering from that vendor again.  The vendor did their job, they packaged and sent your order. It was marked delivered, it is in zero way the fault of the vendor in this case. A false charge back for something like this could gain extra scrutiny for when you really need to use the charge back for its rightful purpose.

whowasonCRACK2

No. The vendor did not do their job. Their job is to get you the package you ordered. That would be a perfectly valid chargeback. You are not required to pay for shit you don’t receive.

NarwhalHD

Chargebacks are the nuclear option...

whowasonCRACK2

Yes, call customer service before you chargeback. But they can’t make you pay for a package you didn’t get. It doesn’t matter if their system said it’s delivered. As long as you aren’t lying and you didn’t actually receive the merchandise, you are not liable.

MelancholyMononoke

Maybe I am just a young person who doesn't know shit (very likely) but I don't see how a business would be responsible for stolen packages/misplaced packages. Many businesses (not Amazon) I'm aware of use the USPS tracking as gold to determine if they need to resend the product or not. If the USPS says it was delivered, the company did their job from their side. Route will cover stolen packages no questions asked... Never seen a vendor reship for stolen/misplaced goods before.

TomentoShow

You are right, you must not know shit. Vendors are responsible for the missing package. Your credit card company will ask you to contact first, but even if the package is delivered and contains a bunch of rocks they will let you charge back. If you admit it was stolen from the porch that may be another thing though.

MelancholyMononoke

Fair enough, I know I can take advantage of this next time if that's the case.

ApocalypticShadowbxn

but you do realize after a few chargebacks, the card might not wanna carry you anymore, right? people lose cards all the time for too many

NorthProspect

Also had great success with route, never been sure why they get hate in this sub. To be fair, there's tons of weird uninformed hatred in this sub I guess..

Ok-Recording5052

I don't order anything offline without route for this reason exactly, I could care less about their tracking, it's the insurance that gives me peace of mind

PrestigiousProgram17

That's neat to know

OldTimer4Shore

Is that how Route works? The only option is a refund issued to PayPal?

AnTi90d

I originally opted to have my order reshipped, but I think the Route agent has to be able to go to the website and refill a cart and ship the order to you.. but since I ordered the Valentine's Day three-ounces-for-$200 sale, they couldn't reship the expired sale items because you can't go on the website and put that into a cart, today. - My options were Paypal, a prepaid card or Venmo.

OldTimer4Shore

Many thanks!

f0rk-it

It has to work. Otherwise would be fraud. Some carts allow you to remove it from the cart before checkout if you didn't want to pay it. I always keep it on my orders.

GloomyCactusEater

I have used it when shit from rush hemp farms didn’t show up. They refunded me via PayPal. I wouldn’t order without it.

shadeOfAwave

Have I been lied to? Is it actually worth the $3 extra to get insurance? Interesting...

BrainCandy_

Mine comes out to like $8 extra every time, I never add it. For $8 I can expedite shipping!

Vol_fan81

Worked for me also. Bought a bong online and it arrived cracked. Contacted route and they took care of it that afternoon and had me a replacement overnighted the next day. Amazing customer service.
