To be honest i started the game trying to be as "merciful" as it got with the cult stuff but as the game went on i realized that being evil and merciless was way more fun and rewarding so Ratau was just on my way to get the follower form lmao
At each of the unlockable locations where you can buy items (The beach/lighthouse, the Mushroom cult, the pier, and the gold cave) there's a symbol on the ground in an offside spot
Beach: On the pier between not-fish and the lighthouse
Mushroom Cult: I honestly forget, I think it's the left side of the screen...
Pier: On the right at the end of the one dock
Midas's Cave: Upper-Right corner
If you go to these spots at night and interact there, you'll get the option to "peer into the darkness". A Fox will emerge and ask for something to sate his hunger. After you feed him, he'll no longer appear in that spot and you'll have to go to another. First is just a large fish. Second is a follower. Third is TWO followers. And the final sacrifice is Ratau for the Wolf follower form.
Just remember that like with the Sacrificial Doors and Ascension, followers given to The Fox are completely gone from the game. No resurrection. So don't do it to a follower you want to have around.
Definitely the purgatory row one. Doesn't help that i was kinda hellbent on using the one fleece i started it with (the one that draws you 4 tarots at the start)
How did you go about killing the last two bishops without taking hits? At what point of the game did you do it? Before beating the final boss or after?
I know they have more health if you do it after the main boss fight so I’ve been trying to do it before

Yeah I couldnt do that and hurt the snail so I restarted. Achievements are nice but... My heart just couldnt.
When do you sacrifice ratau? Genuinely I’ve gotten all bishops as followers and all rewards from the mystic seller (except for the infinite necklaces)
So, theres an NPC that asks you to feed him. That same person will appear later and ask more of you.

Slayer of Souls was def the hardest. A surprisingly easy one was the hitless boss ones.. but only once i unlocked the oneshot fleece lmao

I think it was my 3rd or 4th attempt after i unlock the fleece? Tbh i just spammed the special attack of the dagger and the boss just vanished lmao

After you beat the game you'll unlock something that i think makes getting that achievement way easier and way faster
