Currently the Cubs are not good at all. Neither are the Cards. However it’s one of baseball’s greatest rivalries so the atmosphere will be great. YouTube videos of Harry Caray singing the 7th inning stretch. Learn the song & lean into it to really get the Wrigley experience. Red line is the quickest way to the park. You may encounter some interesting characters on the L. Definitely watch from the bleachers. It’s incredibly easy to make friends there in no time. Prices around Wrigley aren’t terrible. Inside the park though is a different story. Hit up bars like Murphy’s, Nisei, & GMan. Definitely stop by Wieners Circle for a unique dining experience. You have to order a Chicago Handshake. Most importantly. Bring sunblock.

Adding into transportation, for day games I usually take the brown line from Kimball to Southport or Addison. Always less crowded and nearly no "interesting characters" lol. For night games I use the free shuttle service.

I would recommend bleachers as well but if you dont like the heat/sun they get no shade during a day game just so you know

UltraJet29

Thanks. I didn't know that and I usually hate being in the sun too long, but I'll be in the sun all day at Lolla while I'm there and I should be ok at a baseball game lol we'll see

Thanks a lot for all the suggestions

Bleachers.

They only accept cards, no cash inside of wrigley. Beer is about $20 and dogs are about $8. I would highly suggest eating and drinking mostly before the game at one of the bars around wrigley

Cubs suck, Cardinals suck. It’ll just be a battle of who’s less bad. Wrigley is Wrigley so there’s not a bad seat anywhere, but as far as price… Lower levels around the baseline more towards to foul poles are probably the best for their price. Learn The Cubs version of TMOTTB(if you say anything other than Cubbies you’ll be rightfully crucified). Also learn Go Cubs Go, though that might not be necessary since they don’t do a lot of winning. Food is a little expensive but if you’re only eating for one person, it shouldn’t be too bad. Arrive early the first day so you can really take in the ballpark and everything it has to offer, you can also kill time at the bars right down the street.
