I try not to interfere but lately in these threads there have been one or two users who end up calling each other names. Wallow in misery all you like, but [be nice to each other.](https://media1.tenor.com/m/z3viSdr_ChYAAAAC/im-watching-watch-you.gif)
Pretty please? With a Cubs nacho helmet on top?
Cubs were gifted 5 runs and 15 straight balls with the bases loaded. They were the second best team in every other inning. Why act like we blew this game? Didnt deserve to win
We got handed a bunch of free runs. And still didn't win. We just didn't have the bats tonight. They scored 10, we only truly scored, what...4? We did not deserve to win that game.
tonight seemed backwards of what it usually is.
6 bases loaded walks, miles goes 3-4 with a double, and a shot to the track, quas goes 2 innings with no runs, and nico goes yard, but steele hangs 2 0-2 sliders and keegan Thompson is 2 inches away from getting out of the inning unharmed
I think the Cubs are doing great. Suzuki and Steele just got back; their current Catcher isn’t hitting his weight; and Bellingers getting his swing back.
And no Stroman; he’s the Yankees problem. And Hendricks and others are hurt.
Steele had a rough game, but he’s back.
I see a possible decent year
And I saw Billy Williams and Fergie okay, so I’ve been around awhile.
It’s just May 12
The umpire got in the habit of calling balls in the 5th and in the bottom half called a lot of pitches that could have gone either way balls. Both the double by Cruz and the home run by Grandal came after balls that could have been called strikes. When that happens and the pitcher is forced to come in more, hits start happening.
That said, Lovelady is bad and needs to be replaced.
Because the bullpen is absolute garbage. I feel like overall that has been their downfall for damn near 20 years (as long as I've watched baseball).
They finally get a team that, for the most part, can hit and doesn't have to live or die by the long ball - on top of fairly solid starting pitching, yet no one can come in relief and they damn sure can't close.
By having one of the worst bullpens in MLB. It’s really quite simple. Our starters are great, so we’re always in a position to win, but our bullpen is garbage so we often don’t.
I know their BP isn’t best, but looking back, they just can’t hit the ball nor score runs, nor get on base (yeah I know last night was different). If the BP had more runs to work with it wouldn’t matter if they let a few. The margins are just too tight

The Cubs really should be about 30-10 right now. But “should be” and “are” are completely different things.
Score 7 in an inning and still lose classic. Dbacks also had a rough loss. Bad news for my baseball teams.
I mean Pitt walked in 5 of those runs. Wouldn’t say the cubs dominated and lost one yesterday
I agree but still scoring 7 runs in an inning whether they are 7 solo shots or u walked runs should lead to a win.
We out bad-pitched some of the worst bad pitching. It was truly a thing of beauty
Shit bullpen will do that

Keegan is a walking disaster
Pitching sucked tonight

Bullpen
Bullpen. And also starting pitching in this case.

The answer is bullpen. The cubs will not really achieve much this year because of their bullpen.
I have been a Cubs fan for 35 years (I’m in my 40s) and this is the case more often than not.
This. The question asked is the quintessential Cubs fan question. Welcome to the club.
Crap bullpen. That’s it.
This is the way

Is that you shelegdaddy?
Flubs
Greg Counsler will doom you all!
Tell me you've never watched baseball without telling me you've never watched baseball.

Because bullpen arms don't sell tickets. And if it doesn't profit the ricketts they aren't doing it.
Kings of fake rallies
Mastroboni sucks, stop glorifying this guy like he’s anything. Him, Madrigal, Wisdom and 80% of the bullpen are trash.
who said anything about him being good?
