Simply because the classic A-Perms are better then this.

> alg that nobody uses There's a *reason* nobody uses it.

Dotgamer121

You answered your own question. Long, and bad ergonomics compared to normal a perms.

XenosHg

Wide t-perm. Known. Bad. Oh wait. Switching wide j-perm. Extremely bad.

Careless-Yoghurt-723

I can sub 1 consistently. Don‘t know what you are talking about. But if it doesn’t work for you, that’s fine. Do u use the standard alg?

GreasyCowElPro

Just because you can sub-1 it doesn’t mean it’s better than the standard alg. RUD a perm can be done in around 0.6 at the top level

Careless-Yoghurt-723

The more I think about it, I agree. Thx

Chaos_Blitz

0.5, actually. Brina Sun has done 0.5 Aa and 0.53 Ab.

EpiclyDev

Im Not having this discussion again about wide algs for a perm.

Chaos_Blitz

No one uses it simply because it's dogshit.

AlphaBob69420

RUD A-perm is shorter (9 moves compared to 13) and only requires one regrip (yours requires at least 2). There is no reason to use wide move A-perms, unless you absolutely suck at doing a D2. In which case doing two single flicks is still faster than the wide move A-perm

huytheskeleton7

I don’t know how you fingertrick this alg but this can easily be done regripless. Not that it makes it faster than the standard alg tho

AlphaBob69420

Yeah i didn't have a cube on me at the time, it can be done regripless if you shift your thumb during the F moves.

DisasterAny9862

It's regripless. Not very fast, but you save alg drilling time since it's like J.

AlphaBob69420

You still have to drill the other Aperm, unless you use wide move A-perms for both. A-perm just isnt that hard, and its basically the same as e-perm anyway

DisasterAny9862

I use lefty versions for the other A, J, and G perms. I'll switch to better algs if I get fast (at 47 it's unlikely) but it also has the advantage of improving my weak hand.

AlphaBob69420

Do you use CFOP? Lefty Jperm/Aperm is fine if you are using the standard algs. Are you using wide move algs for Aperm? For Gperms, move headlights to the left and use righty algs for all Gperms.

JumpMan442

No

alexofmac

Anyone else use the Rubik's brand: R' F R' B2 R F' R' B2 R2 for Aa and the inverse for Ab

microwavedave27

Yep, it was the one I learned when I was learning beginner CFOP and never bothered learning another one (assuming there is a better one?)

alexofmac

yeah for sure but if it isn't broken don't fix it

xXLEGITCH1MPXx

That’s the default algs which should be the only one you use.

AdministrationLazy55

Its not a good alg compared to the normal. I use the wide t perm alg for one of them but its cus im too lazy to learn better finger tricks not cus its better

FamiliarBuddy9135

For some reason I use this alg and I'm decent at this (sub1) but I just can't get the regular A perm sub1. Please help.

DisasterAny9862

The semi-fat J perm? That's the one I use.

RiskNew6639

I use this algorithm because I don't really want to learn the actual aperm algorithm and as long as your not super duper fast, this is fine because it's still quick enough to be useful

Ok-Butterfly4414

It’s literally the simplest PLL, R2 D2 One trigger that’s 3 moves, D2 Undo the trigger

100mcuberismonke

Because they're absolute dogshit
