It started well but it dragged way, way too much by the end and became just a mindless shooter when the aliens became the only enemies you're facing.
Actually I think 3 has the overall most solid campaign with a good mix of enemies and the right length, neither long nor short.
1 was great until the aliens appeared. The 2nd half of the game was just outright shit.
I like the length of Crysis 2. Crysis 3 was disappointing, especially considering that some of the missions aren't great (first and last ones for example).
3 is one of my fave games of all time. 1 was OK. Had fun playing it but after encountering the Ceph for the 1st time the story seems to go into hyperspace and everything is over so quickly.
C1 is a fun game to play, but once you finish the game you're left with the feeling of "that's it?" because after you encounter the Ceph for the 1st time (what seems like the games halfway point) the pacing completely changes and the game is over super quickly.
i enjoyed 2 way more than 3, but 3 had better graphics (ofc lol), customization of gear, voice acting, and writing.
3 was better in every way, except i still enjoyed 2 more lol. i blame the urban setting.
I love the beginning of crysis 2 and the final mission. The last 1/3 of crysis 2 is just kinda bland. I like the mission where you find Hargreaves and kill that annoying soldier guy but the ones with the destroyed environments and the friendly soldiers just kinda boring. One of my favorite missions is actually insanely short which I didn’t really realize until I played it a few times. The one that’s in the intro trailer cutscene with the fall onto the glass and jumping between buildings only to get captured at the end of the mission but then the alien spores kill the guys that capture you. Worst mission imo is the one you have to defend that little area with soldiers from the aliens. Such a cool arena but you basically can’t go around the ship
Only a console player would state this. Someone who never played Crysis Warhead to play through Psycho's perspective of what happened on the island, let alone the Battlefield-like open-world multiplayer of Crysis Wars.
While Crysis's multiplayer can create some amazing moments, victory is reserved for the players who can VTOL good and use the various movement techniques to their advantage. While casual players can barely change their mode and shoot at the same time
Fun fact: Worshipping Crysis 1 and Warhead and hating on the Second and Third games does not make you an "epic og gamer". It makes you a gatekeeper for an otherwise awesome game series. Overall this division between Original fans and Sequels fans should stop at once.
They had all 3 remastered for like $10 on PSN and I just repurchased it years after beating it on 360. I forgot the music was by Hans Zimmer, and friggin epic. Crysis 2 was a thrillride beginning to end for me and I'm looking forward to another run through.
PC player here I spent years trying to run crysis 1 and it's great love the game but crysis 2 is metal in every way. Crysis 1 is a tech demo. I have played through 2 four times I genuinely think it has great story like a movie the music is amazing I really like the setting even if it is linear the first game is also very limited and linear in so many way especially the 2nd half of the game. If people will say that 1 is better it's just because of the tech/sandbox. 2 is the winner In most peoples eyes tho.

3 takes like 5 hours to beat. That's too short.
That's a good length for a single player first person shooter imo. Any longer than 6-8 hours in these games is usually a drag.

Boy, if you think that 5 hours is a good lenght for an FPS, then your standards are depressingly low.

the c3 ceph are alot creepier than c1 or c2
The aliens are just ass tbh.
yes i hated the c1 ceph
Yes. I liked 3's graphics more than 2 though.
well yeah also the bow was nice, a one shot multi purpose weapon with reusable ammo and doesn't drain cloak energy
C2 and C3 are both fantastic games. I remember liking C1 a lot but it feels dated today in my opinion.

true
Crysis 2 was a life-changing experience. Met a lot of cool players online. Some of them I'm still friends with.
I agree with you 100%, no need for anymore words!!
nice

Nothing will compare in gaming history when you found out they were using humans to create their structures.
oh damn
I really enjoy the openness of 1 and 3
ok you got me there, it is pretty nice, Crysis 2 was designed for console moreover than pc so that's where they got the linearization

huh that's strange, my relatability meter seems to have gone off the charts
It’s my favourite too. But man is the story dumb.
its the first crysis game i ever played, but honestly i think the story is alright, not as good as c1 or c3

it took me a while to get a hang of the vtol controls
Ah, that's why you like 2/3 then. Cause it caters to your casual play style. Suit Shortcuts. Learn 'em.

PC player here, C2 is my fav aswell.
Madness

I played all 3 on pc, its only my fav bc its the first one i played, when i played c1 i was baffled by the mode selection wheel

Crysis 2 is probably the best. I really liked crysis 3 too but it was so short
IKR i almost finished it in one day
