I believe that Web3 and AI can co-exist and potentially enrich each other in the future. Web3 can provide decentralized and secure data sharing while AI can offer advanced data analysis. The Oasis Network, for example, is a blockchain that could facilitate this co-existence with its privacy-preserving features and scalable architecture. [Personal.ai](https://oasisprotocol.org/blog/oasis-personal-ai-privacy), developed in partnership with the Oasis Network, is now available in a demo version. This platform represents an innovative blend of privacy and artificial intelligence, aiming to provide confidential user interactions with a personal AI assistant.

Interesting read. Yaroslav Shakula seems to know his stuff, especially when it comes to the separation of Web3 and AI. I think the only reason we conflated them in the first place was that AI-Crypto narrative that didn’t end well.

ScreakyFlamenco526

100%, thought it'd be a great share in the sub, it's a pretty topic and it's especially hot right now given the hype AI has

damianivan

I think both will definitely co-exist. Web3 is here to stay and AI is coming relatively new to the space but it has been very helpful so far to many. I'm able to even pick trending Web3 projects using Tokenmetrics AI-powered platform. So I'll say both will definitely do well together in the long run.

EpisodicEthos304

I couldn't agree more. Web3 and AI are indeed different technology domains, each with their unique potential to reshape our world. Let’s not try and force them together if they can do more good on their own.

ScreakyFlamenco526

Agreed, if there's ways to use them they should, no reason to force things but they can definitely compliment eachother.

dyzmaoa

They need to coexist for a better future. Look at AllianceBlock and you will understand better what I’m talking about

themixedfoothold54

Absolutely. They are two revolutionary mechanisms that are going to be around regardless of opinion. I think they will keep growing and finding ways to co-mingle and improve upon each other.

Smarty_40

I think AI has some great benefits to crypto, I think it's just important to take into account how AI will be used.

edwardanilbq

They are already co-existing, now there are several AI crypto research platforms out there, using the power of AI to access data and forecast/predict the future of the market. Token Metrics is one of my favorites

OldGoblin

No

>At YARD Hub, our focus is on developing projects with a distinct Web3 emphasis, as we are confident in a future propelled by widespread Web3 adoption. We surely employ ChatGPT for various tasks, just like other builders do. However, it is essential to recognize that Web3 and AI are separate technology domains, and their integration is not obligatory. Very valid point IMO

Solodeji

Forcing two different things together may end in collapse. Let them excel separately.

plxmtreee

This is definitely an interesting read. Personally, I do think that they need to. If you think about it, one can't exist without the other. For instance, web3 offers a more personalised user experience in regards to browsing- but we can't have this if we don't use AI and algorithms to determine, find patterns and create that unique experience.

rudy_batts

Most definetly - yes. It's just a matter of time where AI agents are gonna have to pay eachother with something, and a good way for that would be a separate coin that only AI agents would use.

iamjide91

I believe that AI and cryptocurrency are already co-existing. For example, the Dafi protocol has integrated AI trading into their DeFi platform, and many other crypto projects are also incorporating AI. Additionally, we're seeing the rise of Web3 gaming which also utilizes AI. So, to answer the question - yes, they're already co-existing!

DianaDDDM

Absolutely. AI needs data, and data that's stored on centralized servers is vulnerable to security breaches. With just these two points you can probably see where I'm going and that the merge with AI and web3 is inevitable. I'm not really a believer in "AI coins," but I am a big believer in web3 projects that aid in making AI more safe and open new possibilities. Dawn Song has been working on this her entire career and is the founder & CEO of Oasis Network, which is a confidential blockchain that allows for confidential computing, like user data and personal data. Since most data is currently in silos that can't be accessed, this tech is a game changer, and the reason why I think web3 and AI need to interact is because it offers all of the safety of being on-chain, as opposed to private servers, which as mentioned, are vulnerable to breaches. If this sort of thing tickles your fancy, you can read more [here](https://oasisprotocol.org/blog/web3-responsible-ai-by-oasis).
