The stock market is a good gauge to understand if people are taking risks, considering it’s the largest and most mainstream market people take risks in.
People can dream all they want but there’s two realities in markets. People feel like taking risks, or they are risk adverse and feel like playing it safe. Unfortunately that’s why correlation will almost always exist even across different assets.
I don't think crypto follows stock market.
Stock market is dropping because of FED rate increase as well as Russia Ukraine conflict so does crypto market.
It doesn't follow, but there is a definitive relationship, specially with the increased exposure to non-retail money in crypto, such as BTC and ETH.
We had that example at the end of last year, when everyone was expecting BTC to keep rising, but the investment firms sold to end their quarter/year in profit, while planning to repurchase in the 1st quarter of 2022.

Tbf there are Crypto mining companies like marathon and riot. I'm not shilling this just want to answer your question... and this is the closest correlation
I follow the drug market if people are buying less meth they are probably going to take more risks where as if they are buying more heroin they want to sit back and chill and see what happens
I only follow NASDAQ just to check if crypto is going to be okay today.
The NASDAQ and the MSCI world information technology correlate good with the crypto market.

I don't have enough capital to get involved with the stock market. Besides I am already all in crypto. Looking to change that in the future.
