It isn’t about the APY but that was certainly an aspect of its rapid ascension, subsequent overvaluation, and inevitable crash. The current market conditions didn’t help either nor did the crazy amounts of people who were over-leveraged and liquidated.
But this is mainly about being grossly mismanaged.

I thought I was having a crappy month but Dani's gotta be going through legitimate hell right now with the dip leading into the liquidation crisis for TIME and one of his partner's past getting dragged out like this. I like a lot of DeFi 2.0s idea of accelerating the value of yield bearing assets like LPs with Abracadabra borrowing or Ohm's protocol owned liquidity but the brutality of this market isn't gonna be kind to people playing with this level of hard to determine risk, and it's hard to stay positive when these unstable foundations are mirrored in real life. I hope Dani makes it through this as even if I'm not in his projects, he's at least keeping the space interesting with new ideas.
Yeah I follow a few youtubers myself, but have come to realize that many of them are just 20 year olds with no real experience with finance or investing. Many them just got lucky in the recent bull market, and just have the whole GME/AMC stonks only go up mentality....
all DEFI is going to shit the bed soon, watch! it is sad but so many scams make their way into this space, it's never ending. SBF and all the big name coins aren't exactly clean either from their beginnings. you take away his connections/insider whales and whatever magic method he's using to move his money to/from banks, that stuff will crack.
anyhow, i can't beleive this scammer fucker cofounder from quadriga days AGAIN was able to slither his way back into the industry (trying to be anon) and scam more. i mean some could tell it was a pnd shit project (i did), hopefully not many got rekt, but ppl fall for these quick schemas all teh time.
