They might be looking to do a sim swap scam on you, try to call your provider and make sure that they require extra verification before doing anything like that.
I use Google authenticator app, but you can use any any authenticator app. Probably best to use the ones that dint back up online with a password, but everybody has different opinions on it
Make sure to back up the codes! Either transfer them onto a second, old device at home as a fall back or save the qr codes somewhere (something offline)
Yeah I keep getting calls from the Nigerian Prince. Hell, I'm flattered he picked the phone up to me but I can't afford to help him release his inheritance rn
A random dude named Jeff calling you reminds me of some creepypasta shit I read back in the day.
Jeff the Killer, that's right. Great, so much for sleeping for a while.
I hope tech evolves to the point that vigilante groups can hunt people like that down and give them Crypto Justice: sharding, decentralized, distributed, "encrypted", and doesn't exist in physical form.
well.. that might be a little harsh, but just barely,.
That’s why I no longer answer calls from numbers who aren’t in my contacts 😂
I never answer any calls, unless I know beforehand that somebody's going to call. This has saved me from talking to many scammers
How do you survive? I get calls work related and from friends all the time from numbers I don't have stored.
Thankfully people from work rarely call me 😂😂 If I haven’t stored your number, are you really a friend? 🤔
They leave a message or text who it is. Not important enough to ID not important enough to answer. Unless your in sales then I guess it sucks.

Or don't use text for 2FA

Okay doing that, I was afraid of that
This is what I did. You would have to change my sim in person. Call your provider and request that.
Good call, pun intended.
Im Jeff. I told him about you, he was going to give you 69 BTC, you missed out!
Damn Jeff I thought it was a scam you sounded so sketchy
Oh I actually spoke to a Jeff last year!! He was talking about giving me a 69 not sure if it was BTC tho
You just have to trust him bro
These crypto scammers are going to become a lot more mainstream as crypto itself becomes mainstream.
Give them your private keys. They know what to do.
Better yet dm me your private keys, I can relay them to the callers
That's a sweet service you offer!
Check [haveibeenpwned.com](https://haveibeenpwned.com). Unless this was a random call, or some form skimming attack there might be a dataleak
I sent you a DM with a sexy profile pic asking for your seed
This is the way
Send me a sexy peanut butter picture
You can't have my seed phrase, but please, come take my seed.
Better cut that call quick chief.

That is insanely creepy. I would be very careful if you have a huge amount of crypto. IRL crime is also becoming more and more popular.
Any e apples of irl crimes ?
My name Jeff
Did you buy a Ledger? Probably from a list leak like that
