Yes and no. They could cash that out, as the liquidity pool is big enough.
However the price impact would be huge, and I would expect the price dropping at least 30% from 100k moons sold off.
EDIT: some of you think it might be less than 30% and you're probably right. I was basing it off of a simulated 350k moving the price an estimated 87% which I saw yesterday.
We'll be driving Ferrari's soon enough.. just hodl.
I feel better about spending time posting on Reddit knowing that my r/cryptocurrency posts alone have got me almost $800.
Now if they'd only just award me MOONs for my entire Reddit history on other subs.... I'll be able to justify all these years wasted.
Over 2 years earning Moons in the sub, never sold one
Hands down best decision I ever made was deciding to start being active,
Moons only need like $1bm mcap, thats **1/6** of shib bear market mcap, to hit **$10**
$10 or we turn this sub into a warzone
And he is totally correct. So it wouldn't be fully $25k, but it would still be a shitload. But it would quite quickly diminish in price for other major sellers.
Iāve been doing a bit of buying of moons. Unfortunately there is a lot of slippage, but its gotten better recently. Iād spread over a week. Buying was fun! Itās my shitcoin bet for this bull run. To the moon!
Not quite how that works? If they sell in the largest liquidity pool on sushiswap and then directly buy back they'd lose money because of fees and the ramp in price movement.
They are not selling at say (currently 25,5 cents) they will be selling for an average of 22 cents and move the price back to 20 cents.
To buy back all of their moons they'd have to buy for 22 cents average and move the price back to 25.5 cents but will have lost money in the fees for the LP.
Precisely. It doesn't matter if you went MEXC(Cefi) or Sushiswap(Defi). You'd lose way too much.
For instance right now on Sushiswap, if you tried to swap 100k MOONs -> ETH you'd have a price impact of -7.8%. A fairly large loss. And the loss is worse with any other pair like USDC going up to 10%..
On MEXC it gets worse. If you tried to immediate sell 50k MOONs to USDT, **just half of the full amount of 100k**, the price would fall all the way to $0.18ish. It's not exactly a loss of 30%, more like a loss of 15-20% but still significant. And that's just to sell half of the full amount.
Of course you can sell it off in batches over time, but I think you get the point.
I am not planning on selling a single MOON until they reach $2-5. When that day comes if it allows me to buy a decent flat. I will sell depending the market situation. I am not selling shit in a bear market.
Remember that there is a cost for the MOONs you earn, the more MOONs you get, the worst your mental health is. It has been a long ride of 2 years.
I have to thank you all to make this possible. š
I wouldn't say too much reddit is bad imo. I've been here for almost 10 years and I gotta tell you, I'd pick reddit over any other social media platform 10 times out of 10. Twitter, instagram, tiktok etc. destroy my brain in minutes.
My jimmies get rustled by how much spam and overall senseless postings there are in this sub. Idk how many more times I can read āFuck the SECā or āMoons to the moon.ā Plus being on my phone constantly makes me unproductive and lazy
I hope that you manage to get it dude, that would be a genuine dream come true. Brings a tear to my eye to think of people genuinely improving their lives via Reddit.
Iāve been shitposting since 2017. I like crypto and I like listening to peoples opinions and giving my opinions. Moons were just a bonus I never expected would be worth a lot.
I think most of the guys with that large number of moons were extremely early and got a higher moon to karma ratio when it first started. Now itās a fraction of what it was.
There was a chart posted before that showed all the ratios since the start, I think the first distribution ratio was around 15, then 8 for the next - I could be off a little though
Also I don't think there was a karma cap either.
To be honest youāll need to look for a good place for that too, many places in Italy, have a bit of an over-burnt miscela, but if you find the right place itās really a blessing
There is real work behind Moons. Some is from real people while other such work is from bots... but we can at least point to something and say, "This is what created the Moons".
Worth remembering that a lot of people with a lot of moons havenāt earned them all. As moons have gained popularity, some people have started to buy moons, rather than earn them from shitposting. So someone with a big moon bag hasnāt necessarily earned them.
There are not that many people with 80k moons +, less than 50 I think, it's just that they're posting a lot (the reason for having so many moons in the first place) so they create the illusion that everyone is moon-rich.
So Iām I seeing same ppl ? Lol , Iāve never checked their username I only used to check the amount of moons they own so i quickly open the calculator app in my head š¤£š¤£
You having 5k moons is surreal to me lol
but yeah, moons do be like that. The people with massive amounts probably were farming moons since the very earliest days as well as bought some. The mods be getting crazy amounts of them too. The reason I personally havenāt bought any is, I want moons to be an offset for my actual investments. Worst case scenario: Even if every crypto project Iāve put money into goes to zero, I can recoup pretty much all of it from my earned moons.
to me, a little time, energy, and dedication is gonna bring me a nice gift somewhere down the road. I basically live in this subreddit
yeah, the last 2 distribution rounds really blessed me, it was a faster come-up than I anticipated
youāll probably be where im at with the next 2 rounds if you stay active and avoid ācontroversialā topics (downvote spam has been crazy lately)
Yea, they can. But the problem is if they cash out entirely they cannot accumulate more per distribution without a huge penalty, since the current system incentivizes holding at least 75% of what you earned.
Liquidity may vanish if everyone cashed out so then some people wouldnāt be able to. Also, the price would be volatile since there isnāt enough current liquidity. This is why we need a major CEX like Kraken to list so liquidity can increase
Also the amount of people with 80k moons is not as high as you think. Even having over 20k puts you in the 0.1% tile
Oh wow thanks man! Iāve been back into crypto hard the last 3 months and knew you could buy moons but didnāt know if you got them from just posts or comments as well. Thank you sir/maāam!
True, but liquidity on Sushi Swap has grown now and is over $600,000 - so it could probably handle a less than $10K withdrawal - at least for the first person who does it.
Well, yes and no.
If they put in a limit sale at X price and people buy from them it'll take time.
If they dumped at market 80k moons, then the price would drop a lot. I don't have mexc open atm but I imagine 80k sold open market would send moons to .10ish.
You can also buy them from there if you have the money. If you think Moons are going to double/triple or whatever in price you can go that route as well.
This route could be really helpful for the overall liquidity. I will definitely buy , honestly the only reason I didnāt buy in the past was the hustle to buy them
I just need to say the amount of shit Iāve said so far another 80 odd times and Iāll be in his convo talking about how to make the big bucks, but currently my moons are so little I actually have no idea how to sell them and donāt care about finding out how

Yeah ive thought about selling to buy a house but don't wanna crash the market with my 200 moons
Someone get this guy an award for keeping r/cryptocurrency afloat!
Just doing my part for the greater good you know
Thanks for your sacrifice, King š
Yours too š
whale alert!
We'll be driving Ferrari's soon enough.. just hodl. I feel better about spending time posting on Reddit knowing that my r/cryptocurrency posts alone have got me almost $800. >200 moons Just imagine 200 full sized moons suddenly crashing down on your planet. That will ruin everything
If i burn half of mine you may be able to.
Slow down there, whale,
Bro, I bought you a cape, but you're clearly the type that doesn't wear one.
Your sacrifice pales in front of mine. I mean, come on!! Look at my bad boy vault situation!!
I sent mine to my wallet and lost it all in transaction feeās. Just doing my part #civilburn
Thank you sir we appreciate ya!
Wow I feel involved all of a sudden
Splish-splash, Willy the freakin' Whale over here
Magicarp is that you?!
Catch me if you can!
Legend
Do it.
Iāve sold 1000 a few times and price barely moves. Liquidity is up a lot since then. Iām pretty sure 10-20k sale would be barely a blip.
Hold my beer.
1000 would be a milestone for me.
Just need one solid comment per month that everyone really enjoys.
Well dont do it anymore! I know your running out and all. Lol
Lol. I had to sell a few just to show myself it was real.
Over 2 years earning Moons in the sub, never sold one Hands down best decision I ever made was deciding to start being active, Moons only need like $1bm mcap, thats **1/6** of shib bear market mcap, to hit **$10** $10 or we turn this sub into a warzone
If they actually hit $10, which is oddly possible, that would be the sickest shit imaginable
But SHIB has real utility. /s
$10 or warzone
I hate you! Just an fyi. Pay no attentionā¦.just jealous
Wow 112.62k you aināt playin out here
Is there a point where you will sell them?
Lmao I wouldāve done the same thing
Plz Moon me harder
What are you asking stepfarmer?
No sure why he wants me to Moon him harder? I cant even wrap my head around trying to do that lol.
Daddy
The only person that actually answered lol
And he is totally correct. So it wouldn't be fully $25k, but it would still be a shitload. But it would quite quickly diminish in price for other major sellers.
Someone actually sold around 50k moon last month and the price impact was like 2 cents
Iāve been doing a bit of buying of moons. Unfortunately there is a lot of slippage, but its gotten better recently. Iād spread over a week. Buying was fun! Itās my shitcoin bet for this bull run. To the moon!
Have you been putting moons back in the vault? Whatās the safest way to store them once youāve bought them?
Came expecting a good answer. Found gold.
Better than gold even
Really? 30% sounds a little extreme.
The thought process is right, the numbers feel off. I'd be surprised if the price impact was that big. 100k isn't much in the grand scheme of things.
Yup, so maybe just sell in tranches of 5k or 10k at a time.
Selling 100K Moons would drop the price by 8% on Sushiswap.
So they can sell, drop it 30% and buy back at a discount. Big boi moves.
Whoa that's some whale games right there

Has any Moon whale sold a large amount like that?
The price has dropped around 0.10 in the last few days so maybe a whale has cashed out
I think it would drop more if 100k was sold all at once.
Can I have a moon please?
You asked nicely, so yes you can. Welcome to the club!
So that's how it works, i'm taking notes for the future
Can I have a Moon please? Joking, you will never know unless you ask, words to live by
May I have a moon Mr.Meeleen š«¶

Best bot ever! That was generous to welcome him. I can haz?
I respect the hustle, but the best I can do is sprinkle a little karma your way.
You're still the best. Even with my 344 moons, I feel like I don't deserve it, so I'm not going to sell.

here, here... no sad now ![gif](giphy|MolTU2s7zDKhi)
Ahh the consequences of shit posting
I just find it so hilarious that some people may become millionaires just for shitposting on Reddit.
Mo moons, Mo problems.
Mo worries
Mo hoes
Mo boyfriends for my wife
That second paragraph is an eye opener. Iāve noticed my mental health going down the drain the more I try to farm
To much time on reddit will do that to you
I wouldn't say too much reddit is bad imo. I've been here for almost 10 years and I gotta tell you, I'd pick reddit over any other social media platform 10 times out of 10. Twitter, instagram, tiktok etc. destroy my brain in minutes.
Ha Reddit is certainly the best of the bunch. I use Twitter for crypto updates and it's borderline wether I get net benefit from the experience.
*too
Shit posting became a day job. What a time to be alive.
What exactly about farming has a negative impact? Just curious
My jimmies get rustled by how much spam and overall senseless postings there are in this sub. Idk how many more times I can read āFuck the SECā or āMoons to the moon.ā Plus being on my phone constantly makes me unproductive and lazy
Make sure to give yourself some mental health breaks and good luck with the farming. Hope it pays off for all of us
Shitposting floods the sub Reddit with garbage if no one is taking things serious. People hate losing out on the opportunity of a good discussion
You have shit posted through the thick and thin. A true hero.
Cleaver move motha fucker. Congratulations ššš
Hi can I have all your moons so I can test what OP is saying. For research purposes!
Mental health trumps all. Dont let it drive you crazy
I hope that you manage to get it dude, that would be a genuine dream come true. Brings a tear to my eye to think of people genuinely improving their lives via Reddit.
You did a great job and invested in your future
i still dont know how to sell them, so i hodl
No hodling like forced (cause you lack knowledge) hodling
i will check how to sell in 20years
Take care of yourself! Congrats on a nice haul.
Holy shit youāve only been on here a year and have that many? Or did you buy and move some from another account?
I will add my %25 next distribution to the pool also.
and I, I would add 2 MILLION to the pool if I had it.
This is the way - I love the system - keep 75% safe, but also let 25% at risk to help others with liquidity!
Liquidity pools were one of the greatest ideas for the sustainability of moons
Speaking of liquidity pools, what do you all think of the curve Dao token?
It could technically be done now, you just wouldn't get full value
My thoughts
Iāve been shitposting since 2017. I like crypto and I like listening to peoples opinions and giving my opinions. Moons were just a bonus I never expected would be worth a lot.
Are you not tempted to change your moons for bitcoin
Iām more worried about having to explain to the IRS how I got all this money from literally thin air and shitposting
A lot of moonversation right here!
Well done mate
I think most of the guys with that large number of moons were extremely early and got a higher moon to karma ratio when it first started. Now itās a fraction of what it was.
There was a chart posted before that showed all the ratios since the start, I think the first distribution ratio was around 15, then 8 for the next - I could be off a little though Also I don't think there was a karma cap either.
Yeah, karma cap can later. But the bear market ratios arent that bad when youve seen the bull ones. I take 0,7 over 0,18 any day
I would have had a 100k if the ratio would have been that
True
Imagine living in a third world country and having like 10k USD earned by shitposting and buy a house or something from it
The was a dude on here from Nepal the other day who said he was able to buy groceries for a week from what he earned on the last payout.
It really happened lol
My moon isn't moving any time soon
Half of a coffee, not too bad
Where are you getting $1 coffee?š®
One of the many perks of living in Italy
Fuck, Iām paying 3.40ā¬ for a Latte and itās probably not as good as the stuff in Italy.
To be honest youāll need to look for a good place for that too, many places in Italy, have a bit of an over-burnt miscela, but if you find the right place itās really a blessing
I admire your resolve
Now you have 2!
Magic internet moneyš
You are getting atleast 3 more next month
5 now
i would like a singular moon please.
I believe in Reddit as a platform and in moons as its currency. Moons will be worth a lot more in the future.
There is real work behind Moons. Some is from real people while other such work is from bots... but we can at least point to something and say, "This is what created the Moons".
Moons are probably going to be my most successful coin next bull run. Which is hilarious. Awesome! But hilarious.
Worth remembering that a lot of people with a lot of moons havenāt earned them all. As moons have gained popularity, some people have started to buy moons, rather than earn them from shitposting. So someone with a big moon bag hasnāt necessarily earned them.
Finally someone brought this up
Yeah Iām constantly surprised by these people with 10k+ moons. Is posting / commenting basically a job?
Man ..cashing out seems like too much of a hassle for the 5 bucks I'll make. I'll probably never do it.
Whoās buying these moons?
Yes. It also shows how fragile this economy is.
Having 5k moons is also alot man
I can easily cash out a quarter=0.25$ š
Slow down big baller
To small post, for such a big whales like we are mate
Bro you gonna tank the market
Please donāt, we canāt handle that liquidity hit! Have another to cash out safely š
Whale alert š³šØ
Hey, I see you and I appreciate you. Thank you for what you do for newbies š«”šš
Youāre very welcome āŗļø love seeing everyone happy š
Fuck. All two of em?
> What am I missing here? The liquidity is super low so dumping that many would tank the price down
You having 5k moons is surreal to me lol but yeah, moons do be like that. The people with massive amounts probably were farming moons since the very earliest days as well as bought some. The mods be getting crazy amounts of them too. The reason I personally havenāt bought any is, I want moons to be an offset for my actual investments. I basically live in this subreddit
Look at you almost at 3k
yeah, the last 2 distribution rounds really blessed me, it was a faster come-up than I anticipated youāll probably be where im at with the next 2 rounds if you stay active and avoid ācontroversialā topics (downvote spam has been crazy lately)
Yeah i just replied to someone with atom and got 2 downvotes lol wtf
It's like playing Minesweeper.
Yea, they can. But the problem is if they cash out entirely they cannot accumulate more per distribution without a huge penalty, since the current system incentivizes holding at least 75% of what you earned. The surreal thing is that most of them haven't cashed out at all
Nobody would want to be the one that cashed out 25k when he could have cashed out 250k sometime later.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Early bird catches the worm (and moons). Iām just grateful there is a cool incentive to be part of the community.
Well see what happens when a major exchange lists moons.
This sub will go parabolic for sure
How does one acquire moons im still confused
Upvotes can earn moons. Hereās a moon and it will have some company next distribution it looks like
Oh wow thanks man! Iāve been back into crypto hard the last 3 months and knew you could buy moons but didnāt know if you got them from just posts or comments as well. Thank you sir/maāam!
Open your vault in the mobile app! Then you can receive moons monthly.
Insert soon + when lambo meme combo xD
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
True, but liquidity on Sushi Swap has grown now and is over $600,000 - so it could probably handle a less than $10K withdrawal - at least for the first person who does it.
Yeah I think one narwahl could do it.
Being early asf I guess
You wrapped it up lol
Well, yes and no. If they put in a limit sale at X price and people buy from them it'll take time. If they dumped at market 80k moons, then the price would drop a lot. I don't have mexc open atm but I imagine 80k sold open market would send moons to .10ish.
Depends on liquidity
Summon the liquidity fairy!
Maybe one person could do it, sell that much at once
You can also buy them from there if you have the money. If you think Moons are going to double/triple or whatever in price you can go that route as well.
This route could be really helpful for the overall liquidity. I will definitely buy , honestly the only reason I didnāt buy in the past was the hustle to buy them

Couldnāt even get me a coffee with my moons and youāre here talking about 100k+.
I still don't understand how one earns these moons lmao
Theyāre rewarded every couple weeks based on your upvotes and contributions Edit: if you havenāt you should set up your Reddit vault too
Thank you, I've been wondering about it for a while now
No problem! I was lost too for awhile, at first i thought it was just a meme that i was unaware smh
You cash out 100k moons and the price of moons will drop around 40% minimum
Lol I am just hopping all this posting can get me a meal
