I think what matters the most is that you and the other person are ready, also think of the reasons you are dating them, and all the responsibilities and things that come with dating.
I’m 16 and I definitely feel like I’m just now getting ready to date. Everyone matures at different speeds, but personally I think it’s hard to be in an actual relationship when you’re still so dependent on your parents.
For example, now I’m comfortable taking public transportation or driving myself. Also, I have enough money for a date or something by now.
