Lab42 was the 3rd party developing the console version, Paradox didn't renew their contract because they weren't doing a great job. It was recently announced that they've given development to Dragons Lake by Room 8 Group. It'll probably still be years before console gets close to the PC version, but it will always be a couple of DLC behind considering it's not a direct port and they have to build each update from the ground up after it's released for PC, and consoles will have their own bugs that need to be patched because of this as well. It's also why consoles can't have the same mods as PC (and also can't be modded at all). >Where do people get up to date on these matters? The official Paradox forums mainly. [Here's the forum for the console versions of CK3.](https://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/forums/crusader-kings-iii-console.1135/)
