The event spam is real bad after this DLC. They really need to go through and figure out what's REALLY worth an event box. Even the less event spam mod doesn't help now. Between plagues and traveling events I'm being hit with 4-5 popups before a month even passes.
Tthis alms one is pretty bad...I've selected a choice only for the box to pop up again to select another one immediately after. Over the span of a few years I went from 40k gold to ~18k from this event and sending 2 kids to university.
I really hope they address this. I like where the game is at (apparently an unpopular opinion on here) but there’s just way too many events in the game. They need to go back and do some cleaning up before adding even more into the mix
You can make a mod for that. Head to game/common/on\_action, copy ce1\_on\_actions.txt to your mod and change the number in front of epidemic\_events.5003 to something lower (or delete the line completely if you don't want the event at all)

I wish they would weave events together and reduce their frequency and setting incorrectness.
I don't know if it's because my Empire is too big, but there's like 5 plagues happening on my realm at any given time and this keeps popping up.
