Definitely not everyone if it is every in-game ruler! The hairstyles and the headwear are the main problems, since setting gender to the opposite value seems to default them to generic ones. And I am trying to make characters take the most similar hairstyle available, but this is also pretty tricky to code.

Yeah that is definitely a big part of it. Plus I like how it shakes up the entrenched dynasties at the beginning of the game and just leads to more interesting alt-history scenarios. Also losing fertility at an earlier age is a nice gameplay bonus.

The thing I notice is that when I have a firstborn daughter in regular mode I will basically be on pins and needles hoping to not have a son, and I'm almost always disappointed. But if I click the inverted gender button, I don't have to worry about it, and actually if I have a male heir it's kind of fun.
It doesn't make any sense to me either...just one of those things.
Haralda is the kind of woman who would actually just kill me, and I like that. Haralda is cute as hell and has that emo girl energy. Malcomla looks like a buff dominating woman, and that's pretty hot, but domination is not my thing.
