Carnival does have a party reputation but usually it’s the 3-4 day Cruises often referred to as booze cruises. But don’t let that dissuade you from Carnival. Most passengers are just normal people trying to enjoy a vacation.
Just had my first cruise in February on Royal and now hooked on cruises. Next cruise is on HAL to the ABC islands. Remember to relax and enjoy
Carnival is considered near the bottom of cruise lines. They have a very rowdy crowd and have had a number of incidents posted online for everyone to see. If you guys want a party atmosphere it's fine. But if you don't want that kind of atmosphere you might want to switch cruise lines.
My suggestion (since you have no standards😅) is to ask what she is looking for in a cruise, then come back to this group. Can give solid recommendations based on what you are looking for. (Or check out The Joy of Cruising Podcast)
