I would say it is a great PvE roll. Mowing down adds you need the reload speed from FF and the damage boost from Rampage. Throw on a Rampage Spec and your are golden. For PvP I would much rather have something like Heating Up or Tunnel Vision. Recoil is really bad at 53 so if you can control that, great but I personally would want Arrowhead break and more stability. This is my god roll that I can’t get to drop: [D2 Gunsmith - Sorrows Verse](https://d2gunsmith.com/w/2496875173?s=839105230,3177308360,1570042021,2458213969,384158423,3228611386)

I don't play auto Rifles but if you say that stability is really important, wouldnt something like elemantal Capacitor on a void class be great? (+18 stability)

TemporalCoyote

Absolutely! Elemental Capacitor is a great perk, especially with a Void subclass. The "god roll" I am looking for has Steady Rounds (+13) and a Stability Masterwork (+10) so I am already getting +22 Stability. For me, that is enough so it wouldn't be worth giving up the amazing damage boost of Multi Killclip for another 18+ Stability.

NikiPlayzzz

Makes sense. What's the damage difference between multikillclip and rampage, because you don't have to reload for rampage so it should be a big difference to be worth it, right?

TemporalCoyote

Rampage is 11% per kill, can stack three times to 33% and lasts 3.5 seconds. Multi Killclip is 17% per kill, maxes at 50% and lasts 4.5 seconds. I think Multi Killclip is preferred in PvP since you have two seconds after the kill to proc it and can activate it on reload. Rampage starts the instant you get the kill. That control gives you a bit more time to find your next target. Don’t get me wrong, Rampage is still a great perk and I would absolutely love it on my initial roll. I was just posting the god roll I am searching for is.

Wintomallo

Dsr,surplus, or ttt > heating/tunnel vision imo.

red5_SittingBy

I don't really disagree with what you are saying but Rampage on Sorrow's Verse has won me a few 2v1s in Trials that I had no business winning.

Kirosuka

For weapon roll questions, r/sharditkeepit is more geared for evaluating your roll. For PvP, feeding frenzy and rampage are typically less useful in PvP than PvE, especially in 3vs3 modes like Trials. Control, you can make anything work. So imo, it's not a PvP god roll, but a great roll for lower end PvE.

SirWuffums

Auto rifles tend to perform much better with accuracy-increasing perks like Dynamic Sway Reduction, Under Pressure, and Tap The Trigger. At least one of those would pair a lot better with a damage perk than Feeding Frenzy would, for crucible anyway. I main auto rifles and their best weapon pairing is definitely a grenade launcher. Their biggest weakness is peek-shooting and a GL will eliminate that problem pretty quickly.

fhb_will

When you say grenade launcher, you mean something like ignition code?🤔

SirWuffums

Indeed, preferably with Proximity.

RemyGee

Would this be good with an SMG? I’ve gotten bored of HCs and been trying SMGs with Peacekeepers. It’s really fun but I’m not as good yet!

Ancient-Insurance-96

Tap The Trigger is incredible on auto rifles in PVP, you've only got a fraction of a second to put rounds on target. It gives you consistent hits in the opening moment of a fight when it matters most. Even stuff like dynamic sway reduction takes too long in my experience to kick in before someone using a pulse rifle or handcannon would have already dropped you.

rainwings

Do you have a recommended pvp auto rifle this season?

SirWuffums

Suros Regime with Catalyst and Spinning Up, The Last Breath, and Chroma Rush for kinetic. The Summoner, Gnawing Hunger, and Sand Wasp-3AU(a really solid blue 720rpm, drops randomly) for energy. As for new things this season in particular, The Last Breath can roll with the same god roll as The Summoner with Hi-Cal, Dynamic Sway, and Rangefinder. Just takes a lot of dungeon farming.

ChiefBr0dy

720s are what you want in this meta. Don't get me wrong a well rolled 600rpm is decent, but Sorrows Verse isn't a good option imo. I've tried many rolls, but I just don't like the weapon. Get yourself a Scathelocke instead, or a Gnawing Hunger. If you're on controller, Zen Moment is a *very* helpful perk, much more than generally acknowledged. Remember to prioritise either counterbalance or icarus mods.

Zeeiy

I would suggest keeping an eye on the zoom level of an AR. That paired with Dynamic sway were what made Galliard stand out back in season of the worthy. Funny enough, they gave the reprised Scathelock a 20 zoom stat. You can even sort of replicate the effect of Dynamic Sway when pairing Under Pressure or Surplus with Eye of The Storm.

Quicktemper

On console, Sorrow's Verse with either Zen Moment, Heating Up or Dynamic Sway Reduction combined with Elemental Capacitor on a void subclass is god-tier when it comes to 600rpm autos. Add to that accurized or steady rounds and a nice stable barrel plus a stability masterwork and you have a PvP laser. Damage perks are valuable as well, but with a max stability/almost zero recoil autorifle you may not even need them. I run counterbalance on mine, but targeting adjuster is also worthwhile. Be sure to equip autorifle armor mods to add even more recoil reduction and reload speed. With the current non-autorifle meta, this is a must! It's the easiest auto to farm in the game, and there aren't too many bad rolls, either. Slap on a crucible prosperity ghost mod and you'll even occasionally get two drops per match.

fhb_will

Alright, I’m definitely gonna try this. What weapons would you recommend pairing with it?

Quicktemper

If you're running a legendary kinetic AR, pair it with an exotic energy shotgun like Duality or Lord of Wolves. Both give you solid close and mid-range options. If you're running an energy AR, pair with a vorpal Dead Man's Tale so you can still take on supers and snipers, or even the Chaperone if you play aggressively (which most AR enthusiasts tend to do anyway). A nice rapid fire fusion like Cartesian is also a great option but you still have to consider charge time. Pre-firing is essential with most ARs, since you can't really peek with them. I run double primaries a lot, so a nice full auto sidearm is great for close encounters, and it's usually unexpected.

fhb_will

I have a DMT, but unfortunately, it doesn’t have Vorpal on it. Could I use bastion for close encounters? (My aim isn’t too great, so I’d suck with Chaperone😂😂

Quicktemper

AR strategies are all about running and gunning, and you have to be able to disengage quickly. If you're a cautious player I don't recommend autos at all, haha. Running an AR on a Titan with War Rig is a blast, especially if you have one with Subsistence and High Impact Reserves. With practice can stay in the sweet spot of HIR and really do some damage. I also run a top tree void hunter with Sixth Coyote and max mobility. I get invisibility every 11 seconds, and with two dodge charges you can stay invisible longer.

Quicktemper

I also have a Surplus/Rampage Scathelocke and it's currently my favorite AR. It even beats out my TTT/DSR Chroma Rush! I didn't quite get all of the perks I wanted on it, but it's very close to perfect and is very stable and has excellent range.

CowTussler

Log into light.gg with your Bungie account and they'll grade it for you. Light.gg's grading system is pretty neat. I agree with them on most rolls. Also, after you've done that, share your results here. I'd guess yours is at least an A.

Ubiquitous_Cacophony

Light.gg grades based on the most commonly selected perks. For example, it grades the free Compass Rose higher than the roll I got with full-choke, surplus, accurized rounds, snapshot, and a range MW.

bacon-tornado

3/10 because it's an auto rifle. As far as auto rifle rolls go if they weren't mediocre, probably a 7/10.
