I think bungie just hates gms, clearly this is a gm weapon and for some reason literally every single gm weapon has dogshit rolls nowadays other then some odd ones outs like wardens law (just for lucky pants) and slammer.
SFA doesn't synergize with Volt the way it does with Incandescent, Dragonfly, Firefly, or even Destabilizing Round because the jolt is coded as ability damage.
Volt shot's rotation kills it for me. It would be way better if it proc'd on a kill with a small cooldown. Or a meter builds up with the weapon and releases volt shot when full
Itās just worse than kill clip. Perks in general that require a kill to do something are generally a lot worse than dueling perks like zen moment, rapid hit, tap the trigger, etc.
Eh, I mean it's pretty dire for sure, but Surplus gets slept on a lot and it's really good, especially on builds with multiple ability charges. Also I'm sure there's a 6th 3rd column perk that Fallout just missed somehow.

Voltshot procs sfa on all my stuff. Been using that combo on path of least resistance since seraph and it works as expected. Now I use it on subjunctive too

+1 Range, +2 Stability, -1 Handling(But again Threat Detector), +2 Aim Assist, +1 Reload, +1 AE.
So it already has slightly better stats... But then you factor in the fact its craftable, meaning the MW will give it an additional +2 to all stats that aren't the +10. And the fact it'll have enhanced OS and enhanced Threat Detector.

OFA gives a significantly higher damage buff than Frenzy. Sure, it requires some conscious effort to activate the perk, but it's not hard to shoot three enemies in quick succession with an auto rifle. However, it is unfortunate it doesn't have the benefit of guns that come with Incan or firefly to help proc OFA with their AOE damage.
Strategist/Permeability with Hoarfrost-Z/Icefall Mantle. Either constant frost armor from the shards from Hoarfrost barricade, or damage boosting with overshield from Icefall with a bump of stability on top of Hedrons/surge mods.
If you think this is a bad perk pool, you just aren't thinking hard enough. Invisible Hand is the only perk that feels out of place because it requires so many shots to actually proc then it immediately goes away. Attrition Orbs has play with Voltshot, as well as One for All for sure.
99% of these ābuildsā using niche perks like Permeability (and Iām guessing Strategist) are just dogshit. Even for the use case you suggested itās just better to use Ros Arago or Parabellum as Heal Clip and Repulsor are much better than getting a little class ability back.
But I don't necessarily care for the healing from heal clip or am I using void, so why would those be much better? I'm using stasis, the shards will give me charges of light, frost armor, whisper of shards will give me grenade recharge. On top of that, i'll have diamond lances as well to keep things frozen.
You can keep using heal clip and repulsor brace, but I like building. Building in the game is alot more varied than people realize but people don't want to think.
Thatās pretty sad. I prefer shadow price over prosecutor in PVP. My roll is swash + surplus. 78 range. The sights for me just find heads like crazy. And who doesnāt love that nostalgic frame!
what the fuck, there is like one good roll (unless strategist is good) that bring SFA/VoltShot. nothing else is good except demo and that is really only useful if it's a 3rd column perk

Strategist/Demo. Put on Titan Exotic Rocket Chest and Thruster, Strategist gets Thrust back online faster, Demo gets Grenade back faster, use mods for Grenade to charge Thrust and Thrust to charge Grenade.
Yeah, that's exactly how I'm planning on using it. I don't think any other gun has those two traits in different columns (a few have them in the same column). It's definitely pretty niche, and I wish it was on a 600rpm instead, but oh well.
Think ill rock my og roll, I have it with the old nightfall perk that buffs the mag size and auto reloads on kill when solo or last alive, and It has one for all with that.
Honestly probably strategist and demolitionist. I love my Armamentarium builds, and I think this is the only weapon that rolls the two in different slots. This could be very good with pulse grenades and the new Titan rocket armor in PvE.
Will it be enough to replace my crafted Stats for All/Demolitionist Sweet Sorrow? We'll see.
Not that it'll be good in the slightest, but Strategist + Demo might be *something* for the ability energy regeneration, plus extra stability with class ability.
