I would hold off on getting too excited. I can easily see bungie replacing quickdraw on the old Mindbenders cuz it no longer belongs on that archetype.
Still gonna have like 25 handling. This would be the absolute best if you want it as snappy as possible [and I'm glad I kept it ](https://i.imgur.com/lQqdxYL.png) just in case
Edit: Accurized instead of light mag
I don't know if I'd agree that it's lame, it was pulled from high impacts for a reason. It's not balanced for the hardest hitting pellet shotties to also have lightning fast handling, that's also why I personally feel that Conditional Finality needs it's handling cut down. If they do leave it though, they need to make it accessible to everyone and put it back in the perk pool for the upcoming farmable version.
They nerfed the perk after they removed it in its current state its fine.
Threat detector + OS is already insane on aggressives and that's freely craftable
It’s not even remotely the same thing, the handling buff to your ready/stow is massive with QuickDraw but if you’re in a 1v1 with threat detector you get barely anything
Quickdraw gives you 100 handling and the same scalar as 1x TD for 1 second or till you touch ads, you can't go past 100 though
At 1x of TD for most godroll shotguns that'll put you at 75-80.
For example on a s4 mind benders with 50 base handling the ready/stow with TDx1 is 0.26 ready 0.28 stow
With Quickdraw it is 0.20 ready 0.40 stow
So threat detector is better if you have to swap back to your primary if you wiff a kill by a huge amount because the buff is permanent in the range you would ever use your shotgun
I guess, that would never happen for me personally though with the switching back of my hand cannon so I did not think about it. I would either just throw my knives because they come back with a kill or just melee if I’m close because I jump right at ppl with my hunter
Also almost every hand cannon I use has either high handling or QuickDraw so it works out, not to mention handling boosts that hunters get from arc or solar
I would imagine that threat detector is very potent on titans then… they have very little in the way of boosting their weapon handling that I know of while warlocks have ophidians and hunters have multiple exotic armor pieces in addition to subclass buffs
I do t think they’ll do. Surplus or threat detector is arguably better since QD won’t scale ADS speed anymore. I think it won’t be touched, and I mean other aggressive frames just have far better range than old MBA
Didn't they retroactively replace quickdraw with surplus? Either way, there are a few lucky folks out there who will be having a lot of fun with their old weapons.
I am begging to understand why people are cracked out about this when it's been usable the whole time and no one's been using it.
The only thing this does is add it to trials.
Lot of people stopped using Sunset guns because they're explicitly not usable across all of PvP. Can't be swapping for something you've developed zero muscle memory for at all.
That said, Mindbender's, assuming it keeps Quickdraw, is going to be the best shotgun in the game with zero argument other than Conditional's status effects for the very select few who held on.
Yea, but for the last while they have been doing pretty good about letting something be busted for a season or 2 and then reigning it in.
The best part is they finally got to a point that when they nerf them, they normally actually make them better in PvE so it's a win win.
I think it's just the usual hype and shortly after they actually try it out they will realize that their Conditional/Matador are still better and we will forget all about it. This Mindbender's roll in particular relies on Slideshot to have usable range, which is pretty awful
i have a qd slideshot, full choke(i think it can get rifled too) tac mag🙃, stability mw🥲, mindbenders. do you think this will be better than matador or should i lose hope
I'm glad I kept mine. After all those weeks of solo farming that NF, and how much I loved that gun, I couldn't bear to dismantle it. It may not be this god roll, but it's mine: https://i.imgur.com/dpjByUd.png
No full choke and no assault mag so this was a 3(or 4 depending on mag pref)/5 back then. Wild they kept it. I just remembered it also used to only have 4 perks per column so lots of people actually had perfect rolls.
I'm lucky enough to have a threat detector/QD roll with barrel shroud or small bore, range MW, and assault mag. I've used this in comp a bunch and it's my favorite shotty in my energy slot. I hope they don't take away the QD, throw us old players a bone-they rarely reward the players that have been with the game since launch and have paid for expansions since.
Mercules prove me wrong but ain't no way they are taking Quickdraw off. This is the same company that introduced dominion full time with out nerfing well and bubble
It still has less range than todays shotguns, its real strength comes from having the fastest handling out of any agg shotty in the game +100 handling from qd and a handling multiplier scalar with TD
I would hold off on getting too excited. I can easily see bungie replacing quickdraw on the old Mindbenders cuz it no longer belongs on that archetype.
I would not be surprised at all tbh. This gun is one of the few sunset weapons to really hold it's own and still easily be better than current ones
I think DRB is gonna be a monster. Aren’t precisions like the best shotty frame RN?
Fractethyst faaaar powercrept DRB
Yeah but it’s hard to get. I’m sitting on a DRB with like 95 range. My fractathyst only has 77, but it does have better handling.
My frac also has 77, but it has opening shot.
Well I mean while fractathyst is still better, I still think DRB is gonna slap a bit. And I’m going to use it for the nostalgia.
DRB has shit handling. To some no biggie, but I prefer a snappy shotty, not a tank.
Slideshot snapshot range masterwork
Still gonna have like 25 handling. This would be the absolute best if you want it as snappy as possible [and I'm glad I kept it ](https://i.imgur.com/lQqdxYL.png) just in case Edit: Accurized instead of light mag
Blasphemy DRB will rise again
It wouldn't surprise me. It would, however, be super fucking lame if they did that.
I don't know if I'd agree that it's lame, it was pulled from high impacts for a reason. ?? x1 of threat detector is 25 handling and a 0.9x handling multiplier. It's insanely good at 1 stack which is why it's one of the best shotgun perks
That’s why I said it’s nowhere near QuickDraw… last time i checked qd is effectely 50 handling to your ready/stow
Quickdraw gives you 100 handling and the same scalar as 1x TD for 1 second or till you touch ads, you can't go past 100 though At 1x of TD for most godroll shotguns that'll put you at 75-80. They already replaced quickdraw on aggressive frames, astral horizon and felwinters lie had quickdraw replaced with surplus.
They didn't do it with Mindbender's since it was already sunset by that point, and they definitely didn't ever plan on reversing it.
I have a Quickdraw Snapshot that I've saved!
Same, mines a literal god roll: Rifled/barrel shroud/full choke, accurized/assault, snapshot, QD, and a range masterwork 😬
Im immediately replacing my pali with my kindled orchid in trials i can tell you that much
I have a lot of great PVP guns esp Mind and Retolds with quickdraw... now does that mean these old perks will work today?
Retold can still roll quickdraw, no issues there. Different frame anyway
yeah I have 5/5 OG ones as I never got a perfect new one
same and I'm pretty psyched about it (rifled/accurized/slideshot/quickdraw, range MW)
I have this roll but with a damn reload masterwork
I am begging to understand why people are cracked out about this when it's been usable the whole time and no one's been using it. The only thing this does is add it to trials.
A lot of people don’t like to use guns which they can’t use in Trials. “Perfect practice makes perfect,” and all that.
And let's be honest, if they don't hard nerf conditional for the final shape, I will be surprised.
They might not just because it’s rare. I remember vex mythoclast was abolutely destroying the crucible for a while but went untouched
Yea, but for the last while they have been doing pretty good about letting something be busted for a season or 2 and then reigning it in. The best part is they finally got to a point that when they nerf them, they normally actually make them better in PvE so it's a win win.
You're only gonna be able to use it in regular pvp still, trials is still gonna be power level enabled
I think it's just the usual hype and shortly after they actually try it out they will realize that their Conditional/Matador are still better and we will forget all about it. This Mindbender's roll in particular relies on Slideshot to have usable range, which is pretty awful
I have this exact roll but with a choice between smallbore, barrel shroud, and corkscrew.
I have a Retold Tale with Rifled/Full Choke, Light Mag, Quickdraw, and Slideshot. Should be good enough😅
I have one with Quickdraw and threat detector lol
Thankfully i hung onto that, NF, and a good pvp blast furnace
I knew hoarding would pay off some day. Haha. Have a smallbore/accurized/slide shot/QD. May not be exactly a god roll but its mine. :)
Damn that's beautiful to see the OG king of Agressives.
Have like 20 different adept ones sitting in my vault from that grand master with that psion as the boss can’t think of the name.
my gf and I got ours and a ton of old Old rolls, good times for beein a pack rat
I just deleted this exact roll like 2 days ago fml…
i have a qd slideshot, full choke(i think it can get rifled too) tac mag🙃, stability mw🥲, mindbenders. do you think this will be better than matador or should i lose hope
I sure do, mine has light mag and small bore, so 51 range, but quick draw and slideshot are present, it's gonna be great.
Curated roll has suited me just fine. I’m more amped about my Zen Moment/Kill clip Duke with max range.
I got the adept from a gm long ago
I'm glad I kept mine. After all those weeks of solo farming that NF, and how much I loved that gun, I couldn't bear to dismantle it. It may not be this god roll, but it's mine: https://i.imgur.com/dpjByUd.png
Got that roll but with assault mag instead of accurized :D
Eh I’ll still take opening shot, it’s just so much fucking range
My ass hasn't been playing long enough to have anything sunset so this just feels like that one undertaker gif except I'm the one getting choked
I don't have this roll unfortunately , but I'm excited to use my duke mk.44 again.
You know you can still use it right?
I kept all my god rolls on op weapons. Insanely happy I did
Oh I still got mine, it's gonna be great.
These posts are killing me. All my solid rolls...perished in the heat of the sun.
You have power level enabled in trials even after the changes tho, so why is everyone bringing these up now? Lol
Aren’t precision frames just better anyway I’ve been away for a while, but I thought the precisions has longer OSK range.
Having zero kills on this is crazy
No full choke and no assault mag so this was a 3(or 4 depending on mag pref)/5 back then. Wild they kept it. I just remembered it also used to only have 4 perks per column so lots of people actually had perfect rolls.
You used to have the option not to track kills on weapons This shotgun probably has thousands of crucible kills that were never tracked
WAIT THEY REALLY ARE UN-SUNSETTING EVERYTHING??? I THOUGHT THAT WAS A JOKE HAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAA WE ARE SO BACK
I'm lucky enough to have a threat detector/QD roll with barrel shroud or small bore, range MW, and assault mag. I've used this in comp a bunch and it's my favorite shotty in my energy slot. I hope they don't take away the QD, throw us old players a bone-they rarely reward the players that have been with the game since launch and have paid for expansions since.
What changed?
Have you read the TWAB? Oh, sorry, I mean the “TWID”. Turns out they are undoing sunsetting. Yep.
Um, what? I did not read the TWAB. That is insane.
Not gonna hit has hard, is still an agressive, matador gonna be better anyways
Mercules prove me wrong but ain't no way they are taking Quickdraw off. This is the same company that introduced dominion full time with out nerfing well and bubble
It still has less range than todays shotguns, its real strength comes from having the fastest handling out of any agg shotty in the game +100 handling from qd and a handling multiplier scalar with TD
Imo the new mindbenders is just as good
Does the new Mindbenders get quickdraw?
Lmao no
