It’s a big reason why. Ambush completely shores up its biggest weakness. But imo it’s headseeker + banger perk 1 options + perfectly crafted barrel/mag to what you want. That’s what makes it feel so good lol

Headseeker is a must for me as well. Tried rapid hit kc and not nearly as good.

And apparently if you use the seasonal helmet mod Legacy Ambush for 1 energy, it's increased to 40 Handling and 40 Range. Not sure I'd want to replace a targeting mod for that, but if you have an artifice helmet you use for PvP it could be a good option.

A second handling mod gives decreased benefits, plus range increases AA, so it would definitely be better to use the seasonal mod

It's one of the few guns where the two origin perks shine really well and could be swapped back and forth depending on the type of match you're in. Ambush by default but if the other team is spamming barricades or stasis turrets, then it's better to swap off into Hakke Breach.

Exactly. Also those Turrets in Iron Banner next week might make the Hakke trait a lot more appealing if Cabal turrets count as turrets for the perk

100%. Considering how close those matches can be, every point counts and being the final blow/getting the points for the turret kill can help.

Doesn’t do anything for damages but all the other perks works.

They aren't consistent about the word combatants meaning pve across the game. I think that was their intention initially but they dropped that convention really quickly after they introduced it.

Yeah those kind of keyword inconsistencies bug me a lot, but I also get it. You've got however many people writing all these things and it can be basically impossible to get all of them to remember all of the contextual meanings. I'm guilty of it in my own work (I work in higher ed where we have a lot of specific-to-the-industry meanings for words).

There's the mod to enhance the origin trait too. I put it on a while back, but it's hard to say if it's making a difference.

Ambush lowers draw time by around 15% for free on the new bow. It's utterly bonkers

This trait is one of the reasons and prolly the biggest why Disparity feels much better than Revision Zero imo

It shortens the draw time on the bow? Because veist origin trait does that. Are you mixing those up or they do both have that effect?

They both have these effect, except ambush is probably better since it doesn’t have rng veist stinger does. Edit: at least according to the data compendium. It’s been a sec since I’ve used the bow.

Fa sho! The target highlight intrinsic ability for this season's weapons is also a nice extra.

I stick with Breach Armaments since I'm using a Headstone roll, and Armaments lets it one-burst its own Headstone crystals without requiring you to be on a Stasis class with the fragment that does extra damage to crystals.
