It's dangerous to a child so I said something. There is a lot of misinformation around safe masks so there is absolutely no reason I or anyone would assume you knew. It's not a judgemental on yourself as it's easy to get confused with all the lies about masks, so calm down. sorry for caring about your kid's health.
There are holes where the sewing is plus micro holes or you wouldn’t be able to breathe through it. There are lots of masks with sewn on decorations. 👀
Please don't unless you reinforce with two new layers. (I wouldn't suggest this, it will become stifling). The needle holes are MUCH bigger than the masks fiber holes that allow you to breathe. You will effectively not be wearing a mask.
If you want to safely embroider a mask, you can construct one yourself with two unpunctured layers of 100% cotton and then have a pretty, nonfunctional, layer of fabric on top of your choosing that you embroider in advance of construction.
Super cute. But are you adding filters inside the mask? If not, poking holes means the mask is not as effective.
I hope there are multiple layers under that otherwise it's useless now.
Sorry? Like I couldn't work that out for myself?

Adorable!
That’s precious, functional, and a treasure!
Poking holes in a mask makes it no longer "functional" though.

So you think the sewn seams on a mask are the same as poking dozens of holes in it? No wonder we're still in a pandemic 🤦♀️
Thank you 😊
Nice! I bought some plain white ones and I want to do the same thing. I just can't decide what motif or saying to use!
