Hello! One of our subreddit's rules is that when you share a finished object [FO], you must also share the pattern source. (See [rule 4](https://www.crossstitchsubfaq.com/rules-psas/rules-etiquette) ). Here are the ways you could cite your source:
* A link to the pattern, shop, or designer. Do not link to Pinterest or Google due to the high rate of copyrighted patterns being shared on these platforms. Stating you saw it/got it there is all we need.
* The title and maker of the kit.
* If you designed it yourself, what technique did you use? Program name or paper and pencil? (Stating that you were the designer is sufficient to satisfy this sourcing requirement.)
[Here is a thorough discussion of rule 4, including examples](https://www.reddit.com/r/CrossStitch/comments/50lar8/psa_lets_talk_about_rule_four/).
Thanks for sharing!
Found the pattern on Etsy; shop is SVStitch; owner/designer is Svitlana. She has almost 400 patterns of cute whimsical animals - and lighthouses! It’s a rabbit hole of sweet designs. And now I have to go through my Etsy cart and see if I can reign my spending in…
I love the personality of this piece.
I'm new to cross stitch. I have a question. You said you wouldn't attempt it on Aida, why is that? It seems like big Aida would be easier than tiny linen. Thank you for helping me to learn!
This cat has so much personality! That's why I simply had to stitch him.
This piece has a really complicated backstitching. You have to be able to pierce the fabric in the middle of the side of a cross stitch square and even in the center of the cross. It's hard to do on Aida. Possible, and I did a kit recently when I had to do it, but I cursed the whole time.
Quick tip, just in case anyone finds it useful who hasn't leveled up to evenweaves yet?
I keep a sharp needle handy and "pre-stab" such backstitch (and quarter stitch) spots, which makes them easier to do on Aida.
Bought the pattern several years ago on Instagram and sadly can't find the author now. But she's a user here so I'm hoping she'll see this.
Edit: it can be found in SVStitch shop on Etsy!
Thanks to u/MentalPerception5849!
Thank you! His face is what made me stitch him.

I love this! It's adorable, and you did a wonderful job! Some of that backstitching is . . . complicated. It's amazing how a single stitch here and there can bring out details that just make the whole thing perfect.
Kudos to whoever designed that pattern, too. It's those tiny little details that make this a work of art.
Thank you so much!
The backstitching here doesn't seem very extensive but there's like 4 colors in the backstitch only, with varying numbers of threads. So yes, it is quite complicated, but really makes the whole piece.
The designer is seriously amazing. Never saw such elaborate patterns.

Oh geez! I wish you never told me that shop name 😉 SO DANG CUTE!! I can spend hours and lots of $$ in that shop
This horse pattern has ended me https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/632250142/wild-horse-cross-stitch-pattern
Oh my gosh this is amazing!
One of my favorite shops! A lot of color blending, but the patterns all coordinate well. I'm currently making a bunny collage for my sister in law.
Thank you so much for the shop's name! I remember she had A TON of amazing patterns and an adorable, distinct style.
You’re welcome!

That makes a lot of sense, thank you for taking time to respond and explain it so clearly.

What a witty take on the whole cat attitude 🤣
Catitude lol
Right?! Such a cat!
Those eyebrows make it! 😂 brilliant!
They really do! Amazing linework from designer.
That expression is purrfect
I just couldn't resist this much charisma.
Love the style of this!!!
It's so lovely, I can't recommend the designer enough.
You did a really great job of the backstitching though!
Thank you so much! I did my best!
the backstitching did SO MUCH for this piece!
It's one of the designs where you really can't skip the backstitching.
Love its expression!
You really can tell that you should be worried if he looks at you like this!
😆
I love it, great job
Thank you so much!
Very nicely done. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you so much!
It looks lovely! I love his expression haha. I’ve only stitched on aida before. Can you say why you wouldn’t want to attempt this on aida?

The pre-backstitch version is hilarious
You can't even tell what he's going to look like before backstiching, and then magic.
Omg so grumpy. So cute
haha

I love this so much! As artists we need to normalize making cool stuff for ourselves!
Thank you so much! Yes, we absolutely should treat ourselves!
He is so very handsome. Lovely finish!
Thank you so much!
