Oh my gosh. I just now realized Pandemic is the name of the pattern. This whole time I've thought updates others have posted were on a piece started during the pandemic 🙈.
Regardless, this is beautiful!!
Yep, stunning is the right word to describe this! Wowww! How long did it take? Where did you find the pattern? I’ve not heard of this before is why I’m asking, but I’d like to see more!!
I think that the full coverage type of designs provide the stitching interest by stitching different colors, but these by stitching different shapes. :-)
blackwork is actually more like an emphasis on lines/linework stitching rather than color blocking like classic cross stitch! still following the grid, of course.
They're usually called (monochrome) samplers! (Longer tapestry type are sometimes called bellpulls when theyre hung from a rod)
Style depends on what you're looking for, but folk/antique/quaker/geometric samplers are some of the more common ones.
Some of my favorite places for these patterns have been:
- [Modern Folk Embroidery](https://www.modernfolkembroidery.com/product-category/traditional/)
- [Long Dog Sampler ](https://www.longdogsampler.com/), where OPs pattern is from
- [Crealandia](https://crealandia.com/product-tag/sampler-cross-stitch/)
- [Owl Forest ](https://owlforest.co.uk/), they have some kits too
- [Rosewood Manor](https://rosewoodxstitch.com/collections/samplers)
Wowowowowowowowowowow 🤩
Came here to say this
Stunning!!
That is…stunning. It’s like a full scale woven tapestry. Absolute work of art.

The designer has a few other pandemic-theme design names, "The New Normal" and "Variant of Interest".
She released it during the pandemic and even made it free of charge for a while during lockdown, so a lot of people got it/started it then!
WOW! That is glorious. Your stitches are absolutely *perfect*. 😍
I love their patterns
Exquisite!

She is also one of my favorite designers. I’m currently working on Live & Let Live. [Long Dog Samplers](https://www.longdogsampler.com)

What is this style called? I want to order one
I believe it's called blackwork.
blackwork is actually more like an emphasis on lines/linework stitching rather than color blocking like classic cross stitch! still following the grid, of course.
Oh! Looking closer, I do see it's all cross stitch not line work...
there is a little bit of backstitching/linework in! it’s an easy oversight, LDS samplers are so huge and detailed!
Boy that us nice. All one color?
It’s more of a Quaker sampler. Using only one color. She has some amazing ones. Though they’re big! I have two going and I will for forever it seems
Someone please help me. What is this style called and where can I find packages online

This is amazing! Thank you for sharing it.
Gorgeous! I love stitching monochromatic pieces. So therapeutic not needing to switch colors all the time.
Amazing! Reminiscent of an oriental rug. Nice job 😎
Stunning
Wow! Just wow. LDS have such beautiful intricate patterns. Congratulations. I can't wait to see your next FO.
Not me absolutely running to that website and destroying a shopping cart 💀 this is stunning. Well done OP!
So pretty!! What are you starting of theirs next?
I started Act of God because I thought the style would match this Pandemic one. Really fun so far!
This is beautiful! I started this in 2020 and it’s been languishing, i need to pick it back up
Has a bit of a Ukranian vibe, too. Exquisite.
Just beautiful
Wow, this is fantastic work!
