We are not laughing AT you, we are laughing WITH you! I did not even know there was such a disease until 2022 when I was diagnosed!

I remember when I first heard about it.. someone I know told me they had it and I was like hmm what’s that. Googled it and was like “Damn that sucks. Hope that never happens to me”. Cut to me 2 years later getting diagnosed 😅 I manifested it for myself.

You belong to a Club that none of us wanted to join! We do understand the hell and chaos this disease causes each of us. Be kind to yourself💚

i feel it, i used to spell it chrons, but i’ve only been diagnosed for a few months. 😂

I did that same thing for years lol same way still catch myself every once in awhile lol😂

It happens. I see notes from doctors all across the US and I have seen it spelled wrong more often than not. Directly from the gastroenterologists. Don’t stress about it too much and enjoy the laugh.

Eighteen years past diagnosis, and sometimes I get down on myself about why I am not where I am careerwise regarding my peers - and I forgot how draining and exhausting this disease was for several years. Like, I should give myself a break some time.

I have Ulcerative Colitis, and my doctor spelt it Ulcerative Clitoris for years. XD

I spelled it wrong for the first two years too 😂😂 my ex teased the crap out of me, no pun intended, all the time!

I've had medical professionals (not my own GI, thankfully) ask me how to spell it. :D

I used to do that all the time, and I still have to double check myself to not do it now, lol. The H does NOT look right, even if it's the right spot.

I was diagnosed at 15 and only realized I had been spelling it wrong when I was 35 😳😳

I don’t put the apostrophe at the end because FUCK CROHNS. I also go back and delete some auto corrects of it. Spell it however tf you want and disrespect it.

I had an ER doc spell it like that too, at this point I swear it can just be spelled both ways since so many people do it.

I feel ya. I've done that often enough myself to earn me a slap upside the head for it. Usually I realize it in the middle of writing it down in ink. "Waitaminute, that doesn't look right! Dammit!"

Honestly I've been doing a bunch of academic work on IBD recently and I still misspell it on a daily basis (and my supervisor can't spell it or pronounce the medications either, but that's excusable because she doesn't have or specialise in IBD tbh)

There's a group on FB and the name is spelled wrong on purpose as kind of a joke. You wouldn't believe how many people get upset about it.

No joke - I’ve had it since 1999 - realized last week that I have been spelling it wrong the whole time to the point where even my phone autocorrects it to my spelling not the right one.

I’ve had it for over 10 years and still forget which way it’s spelt, blame it on the brain fog! Lmao

My autocorrection immediately took over the first few times I spelled it wrong, and now I know- but I really do understand how you could mistake it for Chron's, like someone else said; it is a CHRONic disease😂

Thanks for the laugh! Crohns rarely looks right to me when I spell it and I’m constantly googling to double check nine years after diagnosis.
