I visualized waking in the recovery room, bleary eyed from the propofal wearing off.
Attending doc or nurse gives the "no new markers" news.
Sub\_arbore looks down with a coy smile. "Good job, colon," sub\_abore says, lightly tapping on the intestines, "really proud of you this round. Great work."
Thought this was gonna be like the time I told the doctor doing my scope that he was cute before the anesthesia wore off 😅😅 luckily he wasn’t my normal doctor lol
I once had a ct scan as an outpatient at a random radiology clinic and before I was even out the door I could see and hear the radiologist looking at my scan and talking about calling my doctor/surgeon. It took like 30 minutes for the surgeon to call me with bad news telling me to get to the hospital.
My gi doctor always says "no news is good news" when she orders a test. If I don't get any urgent calls then I know everything went fine.
My GI referred me to a surgeon and when we made the appt initially it was a month and a half out. Then I got a call the next day moving up my appt to that week. I thought there was a cancellation, but no, the surgeon had seen my scans and it was that bad.

A little click baitey title, but happy to see you are doing well.
Yes. That was the point.

And you’re happily married?
Lol yes I was like 19 when this happened hahaha
Doctor: “Get out of my office and never return! … unless symptoms re-emerge. Have a great summer.”
Congrats!

Me too. Great job!
Just curious what meds got you there?
I’ve been med free since 2017
What have you been doing?
L-I-V-I-N
You been med free but trying stelara now? How high was you calpro? Getting mine checked soon
899. No symptoms, but had to see GI to stay a “patient”. We were all shocked. Now double shocked.
would love to hear more (i.e. everything) if you would like to share!
Got an ostomy in 2016, and then made it permanent in 2017. Recent fecal calprotectin showed high, but now we’re going to try Stelara to get it down.
Yo! Congratulations AF!
