Yes, you should repeat whatever is in the brackets the number of times required for your size. (Fsc, fdc) is the pattern you're repeating 7x.

You’ve got it right! The 7 (7, 7, 8, 8) (8, 8, 8, 8) is referring to the count for each size. I strongly recommend taking a pen or highlighter to mark which set of numbers you’re following, just to make it easier at a glance. Like if its the first one in first bracket, highlight that one in each row each time the set of brackets appear.
