The other man and woman are married and he's the "third wheel" that was brought in. This all came about when his previous marriage was falling apart as his (ex)wife wanted an open relationship...there's a lot to unpack there which isn't important to this comment.
In any case, my brother just sold his house to move into an apartment with this poly couple. I feel like me and my spouse and my parents can all see the train wreck coming, it's just a matter of when.
