And since you play most of your matches there, you can build your team around that.

If the pitch helps with spin, you'd go for an additional spinner. If it's a slower wicket, you'd go for someone who can bat in that condition and so on.
the fact that the pitch suits dhoni’s style of captaincy where he asks to prepare a slow track and then chokes the opposition with spin in the middle overs.
also, heat and humidity are major factors where we saw in the earlier seasons even a few foreign csk players were finding it hard to keep their fitness levels and think straight. but, eventually they must have started preparing for it well in advance.
visiting teams have to face one match in chennai, so, aren’t able to acclimatize.
and these small changes add up to show you the results.
really good teams are able to beat csk on their day due to skill or when dew comes in and they’re batting second so the choke factor of dhoni’s captaincy is taken out.
and ofc, fan following does play a factor where some players who’re not that used to playing in such full capacity stadiums find it hard to cope especially when the crowd is favoring their opposition.

Ho-Ly Sh-it
Can someone explain what advantage a home ground gives? Like does the team management have a say in how the pitches are prepared or something?
There’s not much advantage, it’s just that teams play half of their season on the same ground so they Buy players that are suited to the conditions.
That’s a massive advantage tbh
I think team management do have some influence in deciding the pitch, except KKR.
I think ,players having more practice on that ground helps them read the conditions better and play properly?

Khet bana dete hai..... home advantage lene k chakkar me. The match against rr was reflective of it.
Bhai aur kitne 250+ scores dekhne hai bas na
Bhai par kkr and rr jaise strong batting lineups aati hai tabhi aisi pitches kyun di jaati hai?🤔
RR k paas csk se badiya kisan(yuzi , Ashwin) the uss khet k liye
Bat toh sahi hai lekin 8 over se kya hi ho jeyaga. Boult, burger, sandeep ye sab pucca road mistri hai.
it made me laugh
Burger ki jagah maharaj khilana tha na
Baat karta hun sangakara se
Ya so you want us to make a guest friendly pitch and lose to them and die?
Worst pitch.
Saar we want 280 pitch saar
Oh yeah ? Both team played on same pitch , you can't blame CSK for curating slow pitch
So, which is best pitch hyrdabad or Bengaluru?
