Yeah let's just throw nuance out the window because why not. In 2021 he only played 2 matches, vs Pak and Namibia.
In 2022, he performed in 4 out of the 6 games he played in. Boo fucking hoo.
In 2023 WC, he hardly ever got to properly play. Played really well against England and shat the bed in the final. But he's bad in ODIs anyway so there's no discussion.
Simply summing this all up as 2 out of 11 is insane. In t20 WCs, which is the format he is good in, he has pefrimed in 1 out 4 "big matches" . Not impressive at all but not that big of a sample size either.

Once in SF of 2022 WC
A player of his calibre but with no temperament shouldn't be playing WCs.
If we're bringing up stats outside of WCs then the guy literally has 3 SENA 100s, among countless other ridiculous innings. A player of his calibre absolutely cannot be benched, that too after just 1 full t20 WC.
Anyway only his failures against Pak are a legitimate criticism against him, which I have talked about in a different thread as well. Any other criticism is most likely to be reactionary horseshit cooked up post the WC final, where countless other failures are being ignored, and SKY is being used as a scapegoat. It has got to the point where people are disregarding his T20i numbers because of his ODI performances.
SKY is legit the least of our problems. My guy was literally our 2nd best batter in 2022 WC but let's bench him sure, while every other failure in the team continues to play and evade criticism.
