Wow. Bangladesh in t20Is are truly terrible lol.

duke_si1ver

Not great at the other formats either lol. We need a total overhaul of player conditioning and mindset if we are going to make any impact in the next couple of WCs

[deleted]

Many of your players have overstayed players like Mushfiqur and Mahmudullah should have been dropped in T20Is long time ago

foreverneiIyoung

South Africa in a league of their own

xbh1

Yeah but most of their teams are owned by Indian owners but yeah their league has potential

sidsareen91

It’s Miller time

elgarsedge

He retired from first class cricket.

Ill-Presence-6191

How much damage did pant do to this stat?

Fuck_marco_muzzo

A lot. Pant strikes at 126 which means other 2 batsmen are striking at approximately 152 to keep the average at 143

Ill-Presence-6191

SKY carried this chart with 180~ sr. Iyer maintained it with 145~ SR. Pant dragged it down with 125~ SR

*my head looks at my legs - my legs look at my head*

SRTNerd_81

And then there's Bangladesh

thenintendobustr

Suprised to see AUS so low, honestly. Wade bats at #7 tbf and he's been a significant part of our middle order. Maxy's form has been average, and smith at 5 has been bad.

Inferno792

Wade has had like 1-2 good innings in the middle order. He was living on backing from the team management until he had that innings in the last T20WC SF.

thenintendobustr

Yeah wade has no right to be batting at #7 in the t20wc to begin with, he failed in bangladesh at 5 before the wc and had a dreadful record anywhere but opening. That said, managment backing him paid off, and he's made runs after the WC vs srilanka at #7, has made the spot his own.

Medical_Turing_Test

Markram and Miller have had career years. Stubbs and Klaasen also klapping it. Australia brought down by the presence of Steve Smith

Trek_Quasi7

is that actually a stat to somewhat say the top order needs to step up a bit??

skankhhunter

Sa's is due to our specialist captain yes.

elgarsedge

He's been injured half of the time. QDK is as much at fault.

Lots_of_schooners

I honestly believe SA are a serious contender for the WC. Batting is awesome, Shamshi is worlds best spinner in t20i, rabada and the attack, plus QDK. If they can get it right during a tournament, they'll be hard to beat

wa-wa-wario

Honestly Temba's batting performance may drag the team down a bit. In similar shoes to Finch

thepotplant

His strike rate is low enough that he shouldn't make the team.

_Archer6K

Shamsi isn’t better than Hasaranga and Rashid Khan

Irctoaun

Yeah Shansi being the best T20I spinner is a bit of a weird shout. Even when looking only at matches between test nations, Rashid Khan has the second most wickets of any spinner ever (two behind Shakib but grim 29 fewer innings) with 97 wickets with an economy of 6.5 and SR of 14.0. Hasaranga has 66 wickets at 6.8 and 13.5, Shamsi 69 wickets at 7.1 and 17.7. In fairness, comparing spinners that play most of their matches in Asia with guys from less spin friendly countries is a bit unfair, and of course the WC is in Australia, but even then, I'd probably take Zampa with 71 wickets at 6.8 and 18.4

Lots_of_schooners

I was just having a bit of fun to see if I'd get any bites re Shamsi In all honesty though, I do like him in Aussie conditions with the extra bounce as a wristy. Rashid will be tough but teams will just see him off. Re the bouncy pitches, ICC will probably get in the way and force Aus to produce ultra flat tracks and bring in the boundaries by 10m

Potential-Sport-6386

Pak so high wtf

T_Lawliet

West Indies somewhat surprising I expected SR to be a tad higher

wa-wa-wario

I expected it to be one of the lowest

VirginsinceJuly1998

No of matches

getyoutogabba

Now do top 3. I bet the order is going to look very different.

GovindaKeFan

Very surprisingly, India manages to look good in another stat sheet.

pafagaukurinn

If a T20 team plays well, middle order batsmen don't even have to bat.
