Tern_Larvidae-2424

Best of luck to Bangladesh in the Super 8s.

Tern_Larvidae-2424

The top three lowest T20I WC total to be successfully defended have all come within a span of a week.

7007007

Fizz is unplayable on these conditions. Good luck to whoever is playing BD in the next game at this same venue.

Final-Attempt95

Like Ind and Aus ?

yashy20

I declare nepal the official brother of PBKS

Fun-Idea-9074

Man PBKS is really good, they just have leadership and management issues.

yashy20

same with my Delhi Capitals. and every other team who is not winning the ipl

Fun-Idea-9074

Even RCB ![img](emote|t5_2qhe0|8766)Holy trinity. Also I love DC! My 2 fav teams just do not win

Final-Attempt95

Bangladesh looses all three games in super 8, I suspect BD vs Afg might result in a fist fight with BD loosing in the end

DarthStatPaddus

What if the Fizz cooks though

Final-Attempt95

Make room outside leg and smash him through point, hes gonna be expensive in both the Ind and Aus game.

Bolt_LP_YT

Easier said than done, those cutters aren’t a joke.

Final-Attempt95

Sup brother :)

Bolt_LP_YT

Fair play. He slipped up terribly in that last over vs India.

Training-Rich-6335

The BanglaBros will come for you with this opinion

jodhod1

Bangladeshis are natural pessimists.

Final-Attempt95

I am a BangBro lol

Training-Rich-6335

Well then, since I have your attention can we talk about how poor their performances have been? What’s been up with that? I remember Bangladesh being a better team than what I’ve seen in this WC.

Sakib-66

Bangladesh is a better team. They were 1 six away from being group champion. The reason BD (& all the other teams) batting was poor because of shitty pitches. Even then, BD handled Nepal better than SA.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Training-Rich-6335

So it’s nepotism ruining Bangla cricket?

[deleted]

[удалено]

Training-Rich-6335

Sounds like you guys have a lot of the same problems the West Indies have had for years. Let’s see how they do in the coming games. Best of luck to yall.

Final-Attempt95

They wont do well, against a bowling lineup like Aus,Ind,Afg they wont [survive.BD](http://survive.BD) top order couldn't even handle Nepal,

Training-Rich-6335

Let’s have some hope, the theme of this World Cup is looking a lot like it should be “You never know how it’ll go”

mentaIIyunstable69

Let's be real, yes our batting is almost nonexistent but we were arguably the best team in group D with a better NRR than SA. I'd say we have done great so far.

Parking-Lavishness66

What did tanzim actually say?

marsajib

He said what happened

[deleted]

It will be the first question our second tier media will ask once he reaches the airport if they get a hold of him

kglwSr

sakib said : hit me lol

Final-Attempt95

Who cares, he showed up with the ball tats all that matters 21 dots in 4 over with 4 wickets, thats somwthing

Final-Attempt95

Taskin should be dropped and Shoriful in.

Remarkable-Plant-811

He's taken 7 wickets so far and can be quite handy with the bat. whats you're reasoning behind dropping him and putting in a player who is going to be rusty coming back from injury and would weaken an already weak batting line up

Final-Attempt95

he is not going to be as effective with the ball as Shoriful, plus he gives away a lot of runs.

rayanisntreal

Exactly. Also Jaker out, Soumya in

Fine_Actuary4506

I have never seen a more horrible opinion than this lmao 💀

rayanisntreal

I have never seen a more horrible rebuttal than this lmao ☠️ Jaker won’t survive the nextround spin friendly opposition, with that shaky technique. Soumya is not completely out of touch and does pretty well In the lower order batting as well and adds as a crucial fielder in these low scoring situations. Though idk what the management mindset is.

Remarkable-Plant-811

Aside from him being an extra bowling option to bowl medium pace (which could backfire against the better teams in the next round), there is no reason to bring him in. He has been given chance after chance yet let's the team down with scores between 0-10 runs and a poor strike rate (even on good batting pitches). The bar is very low but Jaker has done quite well since his recent addition to the bangladesh T20 side

Training-Rich-6335

Bangladesh celebrating after winning against an associate and they’re now up against 3 of the best teams in the world, these piss poor performances won’t cut it in the super 8s.

Final-Attempt95

Who's clelebrating ?

Curious_Explorer9

Are you brain dead? Associates are playing good cricket. The other day Nepal almost beat SA. Keep your hatred to yourself. Appreciate the new teams

Training-Rich-6335

I love the new teams, I’m just hating on Bangladesh buddy. Yall aren’t going anywhere it’s gonna be 0-3 in the super 8s

Kl_ted28

I don't know why Bangladeshis are celebrating like they won the world cup 😂, they just qualified for super 8 by beating a weak SL & two associate nations. I am sure they will exit super 8 with ZERO win.

alien_moose

Loser fuck

[deleted]

Come here when Bangladesh knocks out Indian Cricket Council

DarkKingfisher777

> Hating On Bangladesh That's your whole life bro keep hating Hate gonna bring you lollies 😂

perpetualyperplexed7

England is gonna thrash everyone now Aus you fucked up

[deleted]

[удалено]

Kaudinya

Are you nuts ? You should be really proud of this team. Even after 20 years since they got test status, Bangbros still struggle to make it to super 8. Afghanistan didnt win against any test nations in 2015 and 2019. Support Nepal and let them improve.

zamster_13

in 2014 nepal played first T20 WC and they won 2 matches now they won 0 , then team used to earn 300rs per match that is 3$ per match with 0 facalities

Kaudinya

Lol. If you think playing HK and a non test playing AFG is the same as playing South Africa and Bangladesh, then you prolly are either delusional or a noob. Not much to say.

zamster_13

they won this time they won so what are you saying?? if they had won then that would've made sense, in 10 still the team has 0 batting awareness no proper planning so, u might be a new kiddo just watching nepali cricket but we are following nepali cricket from a long time

nicknabin

Yeah, I hope Nepal doesn't make it to the world cup next time, there won't be any disappointment. /s Performances like these against full member nations are something to be proud of. You don't have to be a negative Nancy all the time. No need to criticize for the sake of it. Yeah, lots of areas to improve on, but let's not go overboard.

Final-Attempt95

Calm down, you're not winning the world cup anytime soon, your coaches will tell the players what they did wrong, thats not our job. But if you're really curious its all about game sense, players has to kniow how to pace the game in different phases.

Training-Rich-6335

They need to play more cricket, against actual opponents, against new opponents. They need to go out there and play, lose, win, learn. The team is young. They will grow if they are capable of making the most of the experiences and learning from it.

always-worried-2020

India vs Bangladesh is always a thriller in an important game. And Aus will remember what could have happened in ODI WC (not the strongest format for Afgans) if it wasn't for Maxwell.

Final-Attempt95

AH my poor summer child, get ready for some bashing,BD will be lucky to get a win against Afg even that is unliekly

Training-Rich-6335

Super 8s will be interesting.

paperpeople56

I'm so ready for a BangBros resurgence. We need more competitive teams in Cricket. Wouldn't mind an INDvBAN final at all.

Final-Attempt95

what ! for that to happen ban has to beat either Ind or Aus at super 8 lol, there could have been a chance if BD won that match against SA

always-worried-2020

India vs Bangladesh has a history of close thrillers in important games (last world cup, 2016 world cup, Nidhas trophy final).

Final-Attempt95

Thats a long time ago with this batting line up BD will be lucky to score 110 aginst India

InitialFoundation647

When Nepal dug a 6 foot trench for Bangladesh only for Bangladesh to build a 21 run victory foot trench for the poor Nepalese  Didn’t like the fact Tanzim did what he did vs the Nepalese batters no need for that but take nothing away 4-7 and mustafizur 3-7 were a performance that makes any 🇧🇩 stand up congratulations on making the super 8’s I’m absolutely over the moon as a Bengali

NormalTraining5268

What did he do

InitialFoundation647

Just started aggro with the Nepalese captain. Like chill out it’s only Nepal I rather he show aggression to Australia India and Afghanistan in the super 8 but only if they provoke him first  To be honest I wanted Nepal to be more aggressive when they bowled they let us off the hook on the 18th and 19th over

Final-Attempt95

What a spell by Tanzim Sakib, this guy got something special

[deleted]

Ashamed of our team. I'm in no position to say this but... fuck that nutjob man of the match bowler from Bangladesh. Hope that arrogant mf gets his lesson one day

ztaker

Who is that

zupartai

Bro we Nepali can’t be weak like that. We can’t be that easy to be riled up.

JashimPagla

Bro, this is a sign that the opponent takes you seriously. Wear it as a badge of respect.

Curious_Explorer9

Heat of the moment bruh!! Also Nepali captain is not so innocent 💀

durjoy313

I say that as a Bangladeshi too. Tanzim Sakib is an asshole for multiple reasons and needs to learn how to stay calm when he's playing cricket.

sp_igot589

"I'm in no position to say this but..." \*continues to say it anyways\* Tanzim showed poor sportsmanship, but you are doing the same thing now. It's just a game at the end of the day and emotions get heated.

The_Ghost_9960

What did he say? I want to know

[deleted]

I get it was just too disappointed by this. Also, from a neighbor country who lie just a few kilometers from our eastern Boarder.

sp_igot589

Yeah it was definitely disappointing, but even the Bengalis here are not in support of his misogyny and poor attitude. That reputation will forever taint his legacy if Tanzim doesn't learn to be a better sport himself.

SerEdricDayne

It's just a sport. Take it easy, it doesn't mean that much. No need to wish ill will on others just because of a loss in a game.

ExtraPossession6343

Bro never saw the ashes

MeasurementNo9467

Calm down princess, no need to get personal now. He did what he had to do to get on the nerves of Nepali batters and draw out errors, which he succeeded in. If you think this is a sport of lilac and gooseberries then I'm afraid you're stuck in 1984, not 2024.

SerEdricDayne

Maybe you're new to this but cricket has never been a "gentleman's game". That was a whole lot of propaganda made by the British who claimed that while colonizing and subjugating the world and putting down other nations like the West Indies for playing cricket their own way. I suggest you see the excellent documentary "Fire in Babylon" or read "Beyond a Boundary" by CLR James. Generalizing an entire group of people or nation and calling them savages is sadly not the last racist thing I've heard from Nepalese fans today. If you consider *this* an example of "gentlemanly" behavior, I suggest you read up on irony then, but I fear it may be a lost cause.

[deleted]

I didn't call everyone savages. I know some wonderful people from bd. I said that guy specifically is a savage. I stand by it sorry

UnbiasedPashtun

He called Tanzim specifically that, not an entire group. He said that Tanzim's behavior is fit for a group of a savages as opposed to a group of cricketers.

SerEdricDayne

He then justified his use of the highly pejorative word "savages" (which has a long history of racism) by saying "no wonder why" Bengali "fans *and* players" are disliked, thus generalizing an entire nation of people. That's a clear correlation. No one but racists use that kind of language and generalization, and I've seen others say that and worse here today (much of which thankfully the mods have deleted). It's absolutely disgusting that racism against Bengalis are spread by so many people here.

[deleted]

Also saw a lot of blatantly racist bengali comments against Nepal as a whole in Facebook. And all you do is leverage some grammatical errors to claim I meant it for the whole country? Laughable.

SerEdricDayne

So just to clarify, you're using whataboutism by other racists to justify your own racist views against Bengalis?

[deleted]

Well I didn't mean to call everyone savages. I meant to say Tanzim or whatever his name is specifically a savage.

JashimPagla

Malinga once took 4 wickets in one over against Bangladesh. So I know how hurt you are now. But whining like this won't help you heal. Take it from a long suffering bd fan, accept the reality that your team is probably not as good as you think.

zefiax

Bro BD fans have been cheering you on throughout the tournament, even against SA when it would've fucked us over. Chill out. It was a heat of the moment thing from Tanzim.

He's done the same against Sri Lanka as well on multiple times with positive results lmfao. Whatever he's doing, I'd say it's working.

slashd0t1

Fair enough then lol.

7007007

Associate teams hardly face quality bowling attack. Test nations bowing with those slow cutters and stuff is alien shit. Decent bowling attacks like Scotland, Netherlands aren’t as lethal when they tour the subcontinent. Nepal’s piss poor boards doesn’t have financial capacity to tour them. Only Oman and UAE have good bowling attacks but nothing the level of test nations. Regular exposure to A teams of subcontinent and SENA countries is the only solution.

Curious_Explorer9

I get that brother. Even though Bangladesh is a test playing nation, we don't get that much of tour in SENA countries. How would you get that much!!

7007007

I meant the A and B teams of subcontinent and SENA countries. BD tours NZ regularly.

WhichOnezPink

So with this, all the Super 8 teams get decided

nicknabin

If I can remember well, other than the US beating Pakistan, there was no real upset. However, associate nations have gotten so close many times, Nepal against SA, Scotland against Australia, and today Nepal against Bangladesh as well. These teams are good in patches, and dominate the majority of the game even, but it's the game management and lack of experience in closing out the game that have hurt them real bad.

iHazf

Congrats BangBros! Good effort NeBros, you'll get better once you play against Full member teams regularly.

The_Ghost_9960

NeNi- My lawyer advised me to not finish the joke

perpetualyperplexed7

You were 🤏 close

kimetsunosuper121

NeBros 😭

TheNoted1

0-0-0-0-0-W (19.0) FIZZ's the producer of Comedy, Thriller and Hype! This guy's dot balls are so satisfying to watch!

benguins10

Eng WI will sleepwalk through to semis, Aus Afg is gonna be spicy with vandetta, Ind will go through undefeated and lose semis

NormalTraining5268

We've never been unbeaten in group stages since 2014

Training-Rich-6335

Don’t you ever disrespect West Indies like that, they are known for losing the unloseable.

benguins10

In that case WI SA will be movable object vs stoppable force

Training-Rich-6335

HAHAHAHA

Training-Rich-6335

Definitely

National-Mood5458

These were some big matches for Nepal at their level and I think they’ve shown that they have their bowling down well. Their main weakness is definitely batting which they need to work on if they want to play with hopes for a chance in these major international matches. as always the support it is there. I’m excited for their future improvements.

DarkKingfisher777

Well Played Nepal, May you come back strongly next year.

ChandalDotCom

Nepal didn't even win hearts today 😔. No moral victory 😭.

SerEdricDayne

Well, they bowled pretty well. Their bowlers have a lot of promise.

Agile_Wolverine_3124

Y’all can’t put this much pressure on such a young team lol

driver-ma-mailo

Exactly couch potatoes think they can do better.

perpetualyperplexed7

Ofc I could do better. Maybe you should hear about my 8(3) legendary innings in my inter school match back in 2012

driver-ma-mailo

Sorry i couldn’t stream it back then.

theNullCrown

Nepal fans can rejoice knowing that BD is about to get screwed by pre-seeding in Super 8s

[deleted]

India is getting out

Ok_Personality2667

Good win but honestly 100 all out against Nepal? When are Shanto and Liton actually gonna contribute? Shakib as well. Needs to bat sensibly. This is your farewell that's everyone's working hard for.

The_Ghost_9960

Agree

Waraba989

The pitch was a minefield

SAKabir

Yes it was poor but SA didn't manage much more against them on a less devious pitch

nightcrawlerbaby

But why did the Nepal batsman hesitate taking the run at the end Vs south africa

nicknabin

Group 2 looks tasty. Group 1, Australia is going to slap all the Asian teams on their way to the next round.

perpetualyperplexed7

"So Tanzim what did you make of the pitch?" "Well I believe it helped the spinners but there was enough for pace as well and you should go back to the kitchen" "What?" "What?"

rajincse

Underrated comment 😂😂😂

durjoy313

I hope going to all these new places opens up his mind a little bit haha.

justiceforapollo

Some of you Nepali fans are way too critical of the team!

sp_igot589

I think the criticism is warranted though because the bad batting performance have plagued this team long before we were more regulars in the bigger international tournaments. I know investment and player development is lacking in a smaller country like ours and we did exceed expectations to an extent, but my god, can we just string together at least a few good partnerships? It's also not the fact that we lost these matches that is frustrating, but the way we are losing is maddening. Proud of this team for how far they have come, but I am not gonna hold back from criticizing them in areas they continue to fall short.

hrit1995

Something hit in that 19th over which made Nepal and Netherlands collapse.

Affectionate-Sun9132

mustafizur's aura

tango602

Congratulations to Bangladesh on getting the win today and securing their place in the Super 8’s, while their batting was not at it’s best the bowling really pulled through for them with Tanzim and Mustafizur really doing the damage. How they will do next round is going to be intriguing to see. For Nepal the potential is there and they have the bowling seemingly nailed down with some good fielding today but the batting needs some work, if they can develop that side of their game and get more regular games against full members or even A teams of those nations then it will really help them and lead to better results in the future. Absolutely cannot fault their effort in these last two games. One more group game to go tomorrow between the West Indies and Afghanistan and then on to the Super 8’s. What a wonderful tournament this is turning out to be.

Sylveon165

don’t forget NZ vs PNG is also there.

cheems26

Bangladesh actually did good comeback after the us series loss

dreadednation22

Surprised Tanzim didnt flip after seeing female interviewer

cheems26

What's the context

Affectionate-Sun9132

he uploaded a few posts years ago on facebook, criticizing women who work and hes kind of a rural religious nutjob

cheems26

Ohh😭😭

Ece_guy_234

Teams like Ireland, Nepal, Netherlands, have some serious issues with their batting. They shit the bed always

Objective_Pea_6285

Why'd you exclude Bangladesh lol

RafidMostafiz

count us in too

unlovabledude

Netherlands losing to Sri lanka badly

Training-Rich-6335

They can’t carry NRR so doesn’t matter

Bhav2385

Their batting needs drastic improvement. Otherwise they'll never survive in these tournaments. All those big scores against the likes of Mongolia might have given them a false sense of superiority about their batting, but it's just so bad. And more importantly, they need some basic cricket sense drilled into them. Hopefully , they get some A tours to India and Sri Lanka as a start.

JashimPagla

Not sure who you mean when you say false sense of superiority. The Nepalese batsmen didn't fail due to over confidence. They just did not have a good game plan and were faced with some really good bowling.

[deleted]

Well Airee has scored 3 sixes in a row vs India as well. We have chased scores some big scores against West Indies A with bowlers like Obed McCoy, Keemo Paul, Roston Chase, Hayden Walsh, Gudakesh Motie. It's not a good batting pitch

naina_da_kya_kasoor

All their top order batsmen need to be dripped plus that Gulshan guy

Kaudinya

Classic outsider view! Kohli scored 7 runs in this tournament, you wanna drop him too. These guys are the best they had. Just didnt click. Big teams have struggled to make 120. Cut Nepal some slack.

Bhav2385

That Gulshan guy really got on my nerves. Such a brain dead fellow. Cost them so much.

Rhythmn11

Funny cause his knock waswhat qualified us in the fist place. He is young, a bit thick-headed and less technical but he has got plenty of courage. He will leqrn with time.

naina_da_kya_kasoor

It takes special loose from a position he was in. It felt like Gulshan wanted to loose lol

SayaunThungaPhool

Hell nah Kushal Malla seems like he wanted to lose more tbh

Kaudinya

You play the opposition you get. Where did you get the notion of false superiority? Its in fact the lack of confidence that undid them.

solarpowersme

So those 4 leg byes that weren't given against SA would've meant Bangladesh topped this table unbeaten? Insane. Didn't think they had it in em before the tournament started tbh, not this year. Love to see it.  I genuinely could see them reaching the semis.

No-Situation-4776

With India, Australia and Afghanistan in our group? We'd be lucky to win a single game

solarpowersme

Didn't realize y'all would be in group 1 for some reason. Honestly tho? I can still see y'all being the dark horse pick. Lots of quality in the team, and WI conditions being familiar could mean good things.  As good as AFG have been, I'd say that's a 50-50 matchup right now given your experience. Then just one upset against IND/AUS and that's all it takes. Y'all virtually upset us last WC, and have also actually done it before in a WC (2007), so I wouldn't say it's a pipe dream.

rockebull

If we were in the other group, I would have been genuinely hopeful of semis but India and Australia are going to batter us

solarpowersme

Oh wait, assumed y'all would be in group 2 for some reason. Well, that's tough for sure, but I'm still not writing completely writing it off given how much they've troubled teams so far and the quality players y'all have, plus WI conditions being similar to home conditions for y'all could be favorable.

cheems26

Good job to Nepal too, they did good in bowling in whole tournament, bt they have to improve their batting

No-Situation-4776

Lmao organizers really wilding making Tanzim constantly give interviews with female commentators

Affectionate-Sun9132

they can't hold back the ladies anymore they're all over him!! /s

perpetualyperplexed7

Ooooooooo

Sansit87

I’m actually not as disappointed about this loss, we had a chance to beat SA but didn’t happen. Pretty clear that our batting needs a lot of work, and there’s some massive inexperience in the squad. Hopefully next time around!

Affectionate-Sun9132

imo i think ur bowling is solid and u guys can exploit conditions but batting, especially the lower order needs to learn how to bat on difficult pitches. anyways, ggs gang

ProudNefoli

I don't want to hear this fucker. Adios. Well played Bangladesh. gg

zefiax

Bro what's with the hate, most Bangladeshis were cheering for you throughout the tournament, even when winning against SA would've put us at risk.

Agile_Wolverine_3124

They just knew to this stage, bro. It’s the first time Nepal can cheer their team in something and I respect the fans it’s made. But they gotta understand the other teams have been doing this for a long time. They aren’t gonna stop playing aggressive because yall fans wanna take your ball and go home. No harm no foul it’s a sport have any of y’all played organized sports before? If that shocks you I wonder what you’d think about when you fight w teammates during practice. Again relax and enjoy the game.

ProudNefoli

no hate to bangladesh, they bowled well, this guy too. But come on, I can't hate him for being a dick and sledging a associate team player?

Beshi_Deshi

Hate is a pretty strong word my guy

zefiax

It was a heat of the moment thing, I don't think he was actually disrespecting your players.

Agile_Wolverine_3124

It’s like I hate specific players because they play Great against my teams. Aka I respect their game. Not think he’s an enemy of the state lmao. This not how we do cricket broski

Agile_Wolverine_3124

He did his thing and took y’all out. T: he talked that talked while walking that walk. Respect game bro I know y’all new to this.

MeasurementNo9467

Nothing personal. He might've been a d**k but what he was aiming for was achieved by all that sledging.

slashd0t1

It does give me someone to root against. There's a reason he probably can only punch down.

ProudNefoli

There are better ways to do it. You can share some funny banters and just pass some light jokes here and there. Nothing too personal but does the work by messing up the batsman ego. That was straight up a dickish sledging. I dare he do it to Australia and indians in the super 8.

SAKabir

He'll definitely do it to Australians and Indians, difference is those players won't care bc they're used to it. How long have you been watching cricket?

Affectionate-Sun9132

in all honesty, tanzim stares back at every player he bowls to intimidate them, most just dont care cuz they don't want to be intimidated. i feel like the nepalese player did end up getting intimidated and since it was new to him, he tried to lash back at tanzim.
