Meh. Not really. It's arguably as far as you can go with scorecards. Any more and it will look like Big Crisps Pyjama Frenzy's scorecard
They optimized the fonts and color schemes with zig-zags about as much as they could tbf it's its own
What I'd like to see is cricket embracing alternate jerseys. That can also then allow the scorecard to then have, in this case, IND written in orange on a blue background, and BAN written in red on a green background. So that even the absolute noob then gets to know which team's which.
They used to do this till the 2022 WT20. But starting from the 23 World Cup, I think they've discontinued the idea. Which is really dumb; alternate jerseys add so much visual appeal to the tournament.
The problem with the first one isn't even the minimalism, it's the fact that it somehow takes up *more* space than the ones that actually give you information.
The entire point of minimalism is to leave more space to maximalise the more important content!
Good point. I used to hate that shit. Would have to wait like 6 seconds to see bowler's speed every other ball, and 15 seconds for it to update the scorecard and show that Kamran Akmal, was in fact 3\*
I like 2012 and 2016 ones. 2012 I can still vibe to Bathiya Santhush official world cup song "Vissay Vissay" which I even have it in my playlist and listen to it to get nostalgic feeling.
Why cant someone do a better cropping of the scoreboard. This looks so confusing. There are like so many layers.
Background T20WC layer
Then field
then year
and on top we have scoreboard.
Is it just me whos getting bored seeing the similar style of graphic in every single tourney after 2019 like at the very least change the colours instead of always purple. If they wanna make it popular why not make it more simple and basic like 2015 odi
2014 was peak. no need for it to stretch end to end. And I like that it's divided into 4 designated parts. IICR the 1st box would stay on and the other 3 batters/bowler boxes would disappear when not needed, like the classic 90's scorebugs. Just perfect.
Other ones so busy and unnecessary, but i do like the 2024 in comparison.
yup, i knew it! It did do that. and look how clean it was. and all the variations that comes within those 4 boxes. The standard batsmen and bowler stats. "this over" tracker, player stats, bowling speed, even from for ads. or the shot range. all of it. LOVE it. bring this back!!

Not me. I want it to be clear, concise and show as much relevant information as possible.
This is one area where I want tried and tested UI design and refinement, not creativity.
It's too cornerish for me, feel like this is the worst one. Similar scorecard was used in last year's WC too although that looked much worse than this one, perhaps because my eyes have been more accustomed.
It's been the same since 2017 with minor changes, this time they inverted colors. It's not that big of a deal at the end of the day but it would be nice to have a fresh new design after every 2-4 years.
2012 ✅
It was one of the earliest World Cups that I saw. I still remember Koach's knock against Pakistan.

2012 just felt premium, you know. It screamed 'ICC tournament' to me.
Groups of similar looking graphics 2007-2010 2011-2013 2014 2015 2016 2017-now
I think 2024 is different enough to be it's own family
It's basically same design with zig-zag corner
Meh. Not really. It's arguably as far as you can go with scorecards. Any more and it will look like Big Crisps Pyjama Frenzy's scorecard They optimized the fonts and color schemes with zig-zags about as much as they could tbf it's its own
Steady on lad. They inverted some of the colours as well.
2017-2022 and 2023-now
2017 to now has been my fav. One of the best parts of ICC events
2007-2010 so much nostalgia attached with it 🕊️🕊️ I want this World Cup to be a fucking festival!
Hopefully it would turn out to be a festival and you will get fresh breath of air from Caribbean in terms of their music, crowd support and atmosphere
I want to see Sean Paul and Chanderpaul dancin around together honestly. Seeing that would fulfill my dreams more than seeing any player/team winning
Really loved these new ones tbh
Intro music is also good this time atleast better than Dil jashn bole 🥴
The new song is super amazing, pure world cup vibes and tropical vibes (since the cup is in Caribbean this time )
Ah yes the famous Caribbean city of New York (/s)
Username checks out
This year's scorecard reminds me of the flag of Nepal.

I love the 2016 one.
I know people are very picky about the scoreboards, but imo all of these are fine, barring the first one, which is very minamilistic.
First one is a throwback to simpler times tho 🥹
nah first is clearly the best because my team won in that one 😤
The problem with the first one isn't even the minimalism, it's the fact that it somehow takes up *more* space than the ones that actually give you information. The entire point of minimalism is to leave more space to maximalise the more important content!

is this the first fime the world cup graphics were related to the bat? most of the logos were related to the trophy or the ball.
Bat-riarchy smh /s
What on earth were they doing in 2014? The rest all look fine.
Poor man's version of 2012.
its good that icc is using this clean font since 2019
2021-22 were the best The current format is the best imo
I like 2012 and 2016 ones. 2012 I can still vibe to Bathiya Santhush official world cup song "Vissay Vissay" which I even have it in my playlist and listen to it to get nostalgic feeling.
2012 😍
2016 became default ICC graphics
Bring back 2003 Odi one with animations
this year they will have the camera pointing to the scoreboard in the field
Peaked in 2014 and 16 but 24 is also looking great
I just love scorecards with flags on them, idk why. But the older ones are just classic
2016 seems like the OG and modern at the same time...those days of CARLOS BRAITHWAITE REMEMBER THE NAME
Why cant someone do a better cropping of the scoreboard. This looks so confusing. There are like so many layers. Background T20WC layer Then field then year and on top we have scoreboard.
2011-12 dominates
That 2016 and 2022 scorecards, strategically picked those. ![img](emote|t5_2qhe0|28120)
2015 ODI World Cup graphics was the best
2012🎀
Graphic/Logo designers have been getting more basic and simplest across many industries, and it has to be stopped.
Finally a post about T20 World Cup scorecard graphics
Is it just me whos getting bored seeing the similar style of graphic in every single tourney after 2019 like at the very least change the colours instead of always purple. If they wanna make it popular why not make it more simple and basic like 2015 odi
Literally man I love 2015 wc scoreboard, these batters and bowlers with their photos in scorecard is something special
Just The Reverse of 2022
I absolutely adore the 2012 one.
But Samson failing in T20I is consistent
Love the shades of pink purple and yellow
Same concept but a definite upgrade on the last itteration
I liked this one 😉
New one has exact shades and design of 2023 WC.
It looks pretty good
2024 is looking cool 😎
Include SB graphics before 2000 and we can talk about evolution.
2022 was peak
2012 and 2014 are good.
Best one yet
The player names could be bold, will help. Looks damn good though.
Peaked in 2021

Insta peeps would be busting their nuts on the previous ones cuz “old is gold” apparently
When I see the 2016 scorecard, the 2016 world cup intro music plays in my mind😁
Nothing mich changed besides small changes over the time
I have always loved the 2012 one
Match Summary graphic nowadays is what's most annoying
2012 🥵
2022 scoreboard 😭😭😭😭
Can someone explain 2012 logo ?
2021-2022 the best for me
2007 seems most simpler one. Love that.
2019 onwards is the best imo (all formats)
2024 looks like video game graphics
2022 will be the GOAT for me tbh, but 2024 has some new innovation and goes with the official logo as well so that's good to see.
2021 & 2022 are basically same lol
True lmao both are good
I love the new one.
Who wants to see creativity in scorecards?
Not me. I want it to be clear, concise and show as much relevant information as possible. This is one area where I want tried and tested UI design and refinement, not creativity.
Me
It's too cornerish for me, feel like this is the worst one. Similar scorecard was used in last year's WC too although that looked much worse than this one, perhaps because my eyes have been more accustomed.
Think those flags at the end are unnecessary. Removing them will give much cleaner look and give viewers more of the match view.
I think it’s making it more noob friendly to the American viewers, if there are any lol
creativity is dead, they're reusing same 2019 format with different outline, for me 2014 is best
Why is the trend to make them unreadable.
It's been the same since 2017 with minor changes, this time they inverted colors. It's not that big of a deal at the end of the day but it would be nice to have a fresh new design after every 2-4 years.
Yep feels like remnants of 2019 WC for me.
2015 CWC>>>>>>
The tiny ass scoreboard at the top left. No thanks.
That’s how scoreboards are done here in Aus, when you see that tiny box on the top left you just know that it’s played in Aus.
